Yay! I actually loved season 1 of broadchurch. I may have to watch season 2 in honor of the new doctor! Super excited that it's someone younger again. She's really likeable on that other show-so I have good hopes for the new season once it happens.

Also I'm in love with her outfit. I really liked Tennant's trench coat, and I adore her trench coat even more. ...I like long coats, could you tell?

When he slowly pulled it off before regenerating, that was fucking beautiful. However, seeing Capaldi with his sharp, nice suits (the velvet one oh my god mmmmmm), with no bow tie made me very happy. I like a suit with no tie of any kind. Don't hurt me.

I was getting ready to pack my bags and get kicked out of the fandom there.

I am actually curious about Doctor Who now. I watched Class because the cast seemed diverse and interesting. Maybe I will get finally into the fandom and watch all of it.

Diversity is certainly getting better in Doctor Who. We've had some LGBT characters over time, a bi guy companion, a lesbian couple and a lesbian companion for the entirety of this series that just finished and she's awesome. And of course, the first female Doctor. So yeah, start watching, from the start of the ninth Doctor I'd say. I think you'll love it.

It's just that personally I would want to experience all of modern Doctor Who. So it's a considerable amount of catching up but you can handle it, especially when you start enjoying it so much it'll just fly by, I hope you do at least.

I don't understand why the awful people are always so upset when things change even a little. Oh well, I'm looking forward to the new doctor a lot! (I really didn't like Capaldi!)

In fact, there's one I've met that's absolutely, impossibly wonderful and beautiful.

It is 100% Steven Moffat's fault that you don't like Capaldi. That's a very real possibility. I just know I hated how emotionally defunct that doctor was. He was basically just an asshole almost constantly-and "I don't understand why me being terrible bothers anyone." That running gag for 3 seasons was not amusing.

Well that'll be gone soon, and so will Moffat. The show will stop being held down by his very problematic writing. Now I'm just thinking about what 13's character could be like. Personality and all that. We have no way of knowing right now, it's exciting though.

I mean part of me worries they'll try to make her "not too feminine" when I think she should just be herself. Often times the best acting is when you draw from a real place, and the doctor is perfect role for that since he doesn't have a solid set of rules. Every doctor has been their own person.
