I think that, despite the ridiculous controversy over a regenerating time traveller changing sex, and taking into account that you can always find things to criticise in a family show about time travel, this is the most true to the old idea of Dr Who of any season for ages. There's been some examination of actual historical events as well as futuristic allegory, as it used to be. And Jodie Whittaker has been just excellent.

I read that this idea first came up a few decades ago. Making the Doctor female is not a new idea.

So did anyone watch Jodie's last Season? I thought it was great! I am glad we'll get (I think) 3 more specials with her, which is about how many David T. did after his last season or maybe I'm remembering wrong. I hate that her final season had to be so short though cause of Covid.
