Bill did technically die, that's why they have her memories stored in the database, but she's moved to a different form of life with her water girlfriend. Yepper, this was my take as well. That's what I thought but wasn't sure. It would have been better if that version of Bill wouldn't have remembered the girlfriend saving her at all then it would haven't been quite as confusing for me. Yeah I thought that bit was odd. Perhaps it was just a writer error? |

I fell off Doctor Who not long after Matt Smith left. I saw a little of Peter Capaldi but not much else. Did we ever get a solid reason why the Doctor could have more incarnations than were said to be possible?

Yes, the time lords granted him more Which means that, if the current Doctor decides to move on, but the series isn't ending, they'll do so again. Seems to me like 12 was an arbitrary number the Time Lords created and could be done away with at any time. Smart move, actually, to prevent any Time Lord continuously regenerating and consolidating power. |

This season only has 2 more episodes left!  Jodie Whittaker is an amazing doctor! I haven't enjoyed a season this much since the second Matt Smith Season. I'm very sad to see it end so soon. I'm already looking forward to the xmas episode though. I have no idea what they have planned for it though.  |

I fell off Dr. Who around the time Matt Smith left. I saw a little of Peter Capaldi but I never really followed going forward. Christopher Eccleston was the one who got me into it when new episodes appeared in 2005 (last season being in 1989 (with a movie in 1996). Sixteen years without was a long time to go and it probably wasn't airing in the US back then. I've heard good things about Jodie Whittaker so my I'll give it a shot. I do remember the Master took on a female incarnation prior so the idea of switching genders was opened up.
