 I adore this gaming franchise, started playing on the Sega Mega Drive, Mortal Kombat 2.  The characters, the combat, the story, the mythology, the soundtrack plus those fatalities, hooked young and hooked fast!  With each new game, I followed. Played every title across all the PS systems, I even liked MK Sub-Zero Mythologies, so many hated it tho, maybe if I played it now I'd have a different opinion but I digress.  Watched and enjoyed the Mortal Kombat movie, played that VHS tape to death. Checked out Annihilation too, but, we don't need to talk about MK Annihilation, oh lordy, what a turkey!  I also remember getting up early on Saturday mornings to watch the MK cartoon on Fox Kids. Damn being a 90s kid was good times.  Really enjoyed the current game, MK X, story mode was fun and I like the younger cast they've brought in and that Cassie Cage tho.  So, do you enjoy these games? Have a favourite character? Mine is Sub-Zero btw.  Have a favourite title? Get your ass handed to you on a few occasions playing online or with siblings/pals like I did?  |

Got my Mortal Kombat start with Trilogy on the N64. Trilogy, 4, and Mythologies: Sub-Zero were rented from the old video rental store my town used to have. I actually bought Deadly Alliance, and Deception for my Gamecube, and got Armageddon to use on my cousin-brother's Xbox (backwards compatable on the 360) and I kinda got into the whole MK lore around that time.
I also got MK 9, and MK X. I personally love that both of those games have a pretty good story mode (a first for Fighting Games as far as I'm concerned), and I absolutely love the pre-fight banter stuff that Netherrealm has been using starting with MK X.
Favorite character's are: Johnny and Cassie Cage (they've got personality and have been pretty fun to use), Mileena (I main her, and I like her redesign in X), Kano (he's been my secondary), Tanya (Jennifer Hale voiced her in X, and she's pretty fun to use in X), and Skarlet (favorite DLC character in 9).

I love Mortal Kombat! I have been a fan since the first game showed up at Arcades. (or in my case I mostly just played it at the front of Walmart) I am not very good at the games it would seem-but back when I was playing with real people I did okay-online though I suck hard. go figure! Still the stories are good.  I don't have Mortal Kombat x but i did play it, and I felt the story is a bit wacky, but I am glad they are adding gay character(s) finally. Also liked that they made a female the canon champion of the story mode! |

I really like how unapologetic Kung Jin is with the gals that flirt with him, "you're barking up the wrong tree" is just precious lol
It's awesome a game like MK took the first step for inclusiveness and with a gay man no less (which it's very taboo in this industry tbh)
although, it's totally unacceptable how they turned Liu Kang, the original poster boy of the franchise into a homophobe
Some people think he's talking about he being a thief, but this sentence is cringey as fuck and rubs me the wrong way. I always was a Sonya Blade fanboy tbh, I liked the character from the movies, the one in the game is a meh for me, but he doesnt deserve Kitana if he's indeed a homophobe. If it happens to be true, it was an unnecesary idea... At least Raider bara God of Thunder is supportive to Kung Jin

In the original mortal kombat it was either scorpion or sub zero when asked who you played as. Scorpion for me.

Guess I'll just drop these here. I hope Mileena, Kano, Tanya, Skarlet, and the Kombat Kids make the kut into XI. Also guessing that they'll probably have the whole gear system from Injustice 2, maybe? Can't wait to see how great the Character faces look, considering how good character faces looked in Injustice 2.   |

After seeing the new trailer, got the urge again to re-install MK:X and play some online games.
Then I remembered that I suck, my win to loss ratio looooooool. So back to FO4 with me.
I will defo pick this up when it comes out, enjoyed the story campaign in X plus the new characters introduced.

Honestly, I wouldn't put much faith in how canon the MK X comics are.
Unless you meant Motaro, cause he died in MK 9. Although people suspect that MK 11 is about time travel so we could probably see Kintaro again, Motaro is in a bad spot since they probably have trouble making a Centaur work in their engine.
