This just popped up on my tumblr feed... I was really expecting more news about "Dylan" first tho. Maybe it is a new comic or something along those lines...  Interesting... I'm wondering if they mean the new DA comic? That Knight Errant thing? But that's already been announced and the first issue out. I'd bet more along a new novel, the strategy game, or a new text adventure game like The Last Court. Didn't someone say that people who did Fallen London and TLC were working with Bio again? |

My first thought was legit, OMG I HOPE THEY DO A MABARI. Funko did a Dogmeat. We have it. lol So, they could totally do a mabari. They'll probably do - Morrigan - Default!M Hawke (maybe default F!Hawke as an exclusive  ) - Isabela - Alistair - idk what version - Mabari - Cullen - Cassandra or Josephine - Inquisitor wearing that dragon mask I'll get one if they release a Dorian Funko. |

Though if any of them has a shot at being made into Funko, it'd be either Bull or Dorian, since the other m/m love interests have huge straight dude hatedoms while Bull and Dorian were a little more positively received. |

I'm thinking strategy games like Civilization or Heroes of Might and Magic where you have to build up cities and armies and use them to expand territory or fight off invading armies. The cities often have research that unlocks better weapons, better troop types, vehicles and war machines, etc. Some of them can have an overarching story to them. I could see this working if it's for historical battles like the Blights or Drakon's conquests. It's more focused on battle and developing settlements so it's not as good on characterisation and plot but can still be fun. Kind of disappointing if none of the gay/bi male LIs are made into Funkos, but I wouldn't be surprised. Really? I would expect Dorian TBH. |

I'm still scratching my head at who thought making an Archon 6 inch pop was a great idea, instead of doing Drack. I mean is a krogan is going to sell regardless if its andromeda. But no let's do that villain lol. I'm happy sara ryder got a pop but man she got 3 and 0 for scott lol. Funko is okay to balance it a bit too? hahaha. My hope is that they do a 2nd line, with scott, vetra, cora and drack. It makes sense that way, Sara got paired with her popular romances and Scott gets paired with his. I would like some Reyes, gil and suvi pops but I honestly extremely doubt it, but would be happy with at least the full squad. I speculate that Dorian, Harding, and maybe one other character will be the returning characters from previous games that join the main cast. I think that Mae will finally have her game debut, the one we've been waiting for for years. I also hope that Calpernia and Feynriel will have at least their own cameos. I hope we finally get a butch warrior lesbian companion. I also hope we get a KISA-archetype for gay dudes, and that they'll have at least one romance option among the party. For the classes, I really want some interesting new warrior specializations and blood magic to come back for mages. I also want a nice non shifty non whoring around bisexual? ..please don't get me wrong,  I was very much a bisexxual that was whoring around so I don't really think having a lot of sex with different people is something bad as long as people do it ethically.  . and sex is great if you are into it and do t respectfully with consent and stuff..  Its just that this stereotype is so pervasive that it starts to annoy me..  If we have a whoring around bisexual I want them to be also virtuous and nice and more explicit into their own gender as some sort of counterweight.. ah, one can dream...  |

While I think Bull was an interesting spin on the trope considering his background, I'd rather no more "promsicuous bisexual" central characters. And I don't want it for gay characters either. For once in a DA game, can't one of the straight love interests be all about sex? Morrigan came fairly close to that, but it was more secondary to her character arc rather than what her romance was all about. |

I don't mind them too much as long as we have a choice but I am tired of it. Flirts are fun but it gets tiresome that they equate bisexuality to promiscuous traits. They have done well sometimes. I don't count the DA2 characters because we all know why we had a variety of options that didn't seem all like terrible lbgt tropes. Still crying over that beautiful queer bait KISA.  |

We had hints of that with Anders, IMO, with his sparkle fingers banter with Isabela in DA2 and his general flirt demeanor in DAA (though he wasn't out as bi then). And Fenris and Merrill resemble Josie a bit in that they strictly do not speak of their sexuality at all. Apart from the Fenris/Izzy hook up Fenris and Merrill could be interpreted as asexual or demisexual. Which is fine, but when Word Of God later backpedaled and said everyone except Sebastian was bi, it didn't feel authentic. It seems like Bioware is caught between the promiscuous bisexual and the virginal/asexual bisexual, IMO. That's why I enjoyed Anders' line about loving a person for what's inside. I felt like that was the best method to date Bioware has used to express bi/pansexuality without having it be solely about the bump and grind. He addressed his preferences but did not make them the focus of his sexuality. It's tough because I'm not bisexual so I don't speak from that viewpoint. What do people think would be a positive way of expressing a character as bisexual rather than "available to both PC genders"? |
