I'm also not a huge fan of how Elves were made into just tiny frail humans with pointy ears. I'd love it if they even looked like their tarot card. I noticed in that concept art that gaycaravaggio posted, the ancient elves had a more grey-green skin tone. I almost didn't realize what they were until I realized that was the gold ancient elf armor they always wear. I wonder if they were they thinking about making elves, or just ancient elves, this tone at some point.

The Skyhold upgrades were pretty pointless. Only the garden has any sort of utility, and only if you're super invested in unlocking all the different types of potions and grenades. With the tower, I couldn't even see a difference. If they're gonna have a "base" again, they should either improve that aspect or remove it. Also, I'm sick of stories where at the end, they just snap back to the status quo like a rubber band. I seem to remember them saying years back that the reason they wanted to develop their own IPs was so they could "knock over the sand castle", but they never DO that, really. The closest they ever came was the end of DA2, but we spend the first act of Inquisition undoing that. I think it's very difficult for them to go there all the way because they'd have to make two whole different games in the next installment, but also because it's like.. if you fix it, then what? Now what do we do? lol I'm sure they could actually think of something, but let's be honest, they can barely come up with new characters that aren't just recycled tropes from their last game. Maybe Tevinter will be different? It's pretty different and it's also isolated, so they wouldn't have to incorporate it as much in the next game as the standard all over the rest of the world. I could see them having a slave uprising in Tevinter that sticks. Well, it's not even about choices having no impact, I'm also talking about immutable, core story points. You haven't played Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, so you wouldn't know (unless I explained it and forgot? lol), but the way things are in Skyrim, with the empire being under the thumb of the Thalmor, and Talos worship being banned; these are direct consequences of events that occur in Oblivion, even though we are only seeing the far-reaching effects, a century or more down the line. To give an example (and this is just because I hate the Chantry so, so much), rather than force us to restore it (and only give us a choice re: leadership, which ends up amounting to not very much at all), I would've preferred to let it crumble, and see how the world gets by without it. That's the sort of thing I mean by "knock over the sand castle"; actually have the guts to make significant, long-term alterations to the setting, regardless of player choice. They chose to set their games in 'The Dragon Age', because it's supposed to be a period of change and turmoil, and I guess that is technically true, since bad crap keeps happening, but to me it seems like every problem is resolved in short order. Depending on whether you consider the Mage/Templar war to have "started" in DA2 or in Asunder, it lasts anywhere between 1-3 years, before it is resolved in Inquisition. That is shorter than most actual wars, lol.

I know it's never probably gonna happen but Bioware when you gonna give me long hair for my LI or PC fam? Wtf You can't make concept art with qunari girls having long flowing hair then give me those horrors in CC ;o; I honestly didn't even want crazy long hair for my imagined qunari. Just a cute bob cut but no. it's getting ridiculous! Why do you care so much about clipping when you still have clipping in the game fam?! Like if there was no clipping what's so ever ok but there's clipping everywhere ;o; Agree. I want glorious long hair for my PC and my LI, as well. at this point, it's annoying. Modders can do it, but not BW?

And along with the skin tone I think the eyes and the nose in the tarot card version would make elves so much more distinct... and pretty and cool and other adjectives. They kinda look like DA:2 elves but a tad more alien.

I mostly play Bioware games on consoles so I never get these beautiful mods. Bioware needs to step up their game on this kind of thing. I mean they knew what we wanted... that is why the tarot cards look the way they do. *these are from Nexus mods btw

Well, I would have liked to let the Chantry just die, too, but the problem is that other people wouldn't and then they're left with having to pick one, since that would be a VERY different world going forward. Because they can't have two (or progressively more) entirely different world states, they go with a balance between the two. The Chantry still exists, but shittier than it was. lol Circles still exist, but mages don't have to go to them. The middle ground makes both side less pissy about their choices being moderated some.

LOL Every time someone says elves should be buff and have facial hair, I get hives.

I don't mind that they're kind of small and dainty, I just don't like that they're small and dainty humans. I'd prefer them to look more alien, be it in facial structure, skin tone... or both!

The Chantry still exists, but shittier than it was. lol Circles still exist, but mages don't have to go to them. The middle ground makes both side less pissy about their choices being moderated some. Yeah, but what I'm saying is, they should go ahead and change SOME big things, and not necessarily give us an option about how it plays out. The Chantry thing was just an example of what they could have done instead. And... this is gonna be a controversial opinion, but I wouldn't be too upset if player choice was reduced a bit. It seems like BioWare can't give us a lot of variables without the core story suffering, and honestly, I was well satisfied with the level of choice I got in DA2, and also with how the outcomes of DA:O choices were handled, even though a lot of people were butthurt about not being able to commit enough genocide, or choose who gets to be king of the universe. There are three REALLY BIG choices I can think of in DA:I, with multiple outcomes: Mages/Templers, Celene/Briala/Gaspard, and Thedas' Next Top Priestess. These are variables that should have extremely far-reaching, long-term consequences. But when I know that everyone I picked is gonna be crushed under a Titan's foot (or whatever) in the intro of the next game, and we'll be starting over from zero, why should I even care? I would much rather get to choose only minor stuff, like the outcomes of sidequests, and what happens to some of my party members, and be rewarded with cameos in future side content, which is the best I was gonna get anyway, if past DA/ME games are any indication. The majority of the sidestuff in DA:I is boring as shit, and I know whether or not I found some moron's demon goat isn't gonna be addressed in future games. If they'd pumped it full of fanservice and cameos, I might've had a reason to care. Instead, all that stuff is in the war table missions, which is even lazier, if anything.

Just a quick random sidenote, there's going to be dragon age funko pops slated to come out this year. I wish this meant E3 reveal lol but nah. Still, DA merch is still going, that and the comic book, so I still see Dragon Age in motion overall. (Dorian better get a pop or I will cry).

Can't buy any of the shirts I want cuz shipping not only the bio store but even through gamestop, is like over 12 dollar shipping.

Maybe it's that tactics game they were talking about a while ago Years back I expressed interest in a tactics game that would tackle battles from DA lore that we wouldn't otherwise see, like Andraste's exalted march on Tevinter. But that was back when I thought BioWare gave a shit about gays.

They'll probably do - Morrigan - Default!M Hawke (maybe default F!Hawke as an exclusive ) - Isabela - Alistair - idk what version - Mabari - Cullen - Cassandra or Josephine - Inquisitor wearing that dragon mask
