My dream is a romance that's basically the lesbian version of Cullen I'd settle for any hot blonde lesbian though imagine if Mae is romanceable by f!pcs π realistic dreams though I'm hoping playable qunari aren't a thing for da4 because the time and effort put into animating them means that any romance they can do tends to have less content, especially if it's a lgbt romance π

Yay glad someone made this one.
I'm just hoping to see more of Dorian and the story of Solas continue, it would be nice to have a villain we know a lot of, instead of getting another I'm bad and powerful monster acting off screen. I want the characters from inquisition that were on the final scene of trespasser to show up in some form. I'm fine with another protagonist (I'm not but I'll deal with it LOL) but I do want to see the story continue while also having its new stuff of course. I don't mind having open worlds again but definitely scale them down considerably, the game felt like an MMO walk sometimes and the horse is so slow it feels pointless to use hahaha.

I want to play a qunari, but I don't want the animation issues that come with having 4 different race options. At the very least, I hope we get more than one race option, even if they all have the same sort of origin story.

A Gay Knight in Shining Armor!!!!
I will never stop wishing for this. I need him! Dragon Age better not be cancelled, they need to finally give gay guys a KISA. He doesn't have to be a perfect KISA, he can subvert the trope a bit. But it should really happen.
Also, a gorgeous lesbian KISA for the ladies ofc.

I'd love a gay KISA qunari. Either that or give me an ancient elf KISA. Cullen was great, beyond the whole being straight thing, but humans are too, well, human. I see humans everywhere.
At this rate though, I'd be happy with a gay LI for my character that I genuinely find interesting as a character. More than anything, I just want the storytelling and the gameplay to return to the quality I think Bioware is capable of.

I think more people play Qunari than Dwarves, if we're losing anything. Although, contextually, Qunari might make less sense for a PC in Tevinter than anything else. It sucks, though, I don't want anybody losing their favorite race, you know?

Back before I was super salty about BioWare generally, I used to want to know what was up woth Rivaini Seers. I would love to go to Rivian and Antiva. How cool would it be if we hopped around on a boat and it was our hub/camp. Isabela could play an advisor role as our captain and maybe have a major side quest where she accompanied us. She could increasingly bitter if Hawke is dead or more likely to betray you. Damn now I am in love with this. The zones could be small and mostly shores, islands, forest coves... Bioware needs to get back to those small zones.

Qunari are pretty cool and if their appearance was more DA2 then they would be super cool, elves would be better if they looked like how they look in DAI's race selection cards (or in Gimolas' avatar), and dwarves... well, they are dwarves. The Descent DLC spooled quite the plot thread about dwarves and their connection to lyrium/magic and exploring their lack of connection to the Fade, so I suspect they will be relevant! I hope! i really hope

I feel like Dagna might show up again, or at least a Codex about some more research re: dwarves and magic. What she said about her coming into contact with "a scraping" (? like a skin sample off the hand? Debris from the fade?) off the Inquisitor was interesting. Here is the dialogue, since it is hard to come by without thinking of a dozen specific words to google lol.
Dagna: (...) I've learned something. I think. I don't know. Dagna: I got a scraping that was cleaned off you. And it's weird. And the other rift bits, they're weird. It's just... weird. Dagna: Lyrium and the fade, linked. But dwarves and tranquil, not linked. But they work lyrium, so they are. Somehow? Dagna: There's something there. I was face-deep in a rune, and for a moment... I was tall. Really tall. Dagna: And I thought -- I thought all the thoughts. (nervous laughter) Inquisitor: You felt taller ? How much taller ? Dagna: Like, mountain-tall. Or I was the mountain. But I was moving. I felt dizzy. Dagna: You know what I remembered ? Watching a shaperate carve the wall of memory. Except... big. Isn't that weird? Maybe there were fumes. Inquisitor: What do you mean when you say "thought all the thoughts"? Dagna: I don't know? As if, for a moment, I was around all my people. And my thought was all of theirs? No, no, my thought was all of our thoughts. Like parts. Ugh, words are mush. Dagna: Maybe that's what the Stone feels like. Or we think it feels like. If we think it feels? Creepy. Inquisitor: So tranquil and dwarves are linked to lyrium, but also not linked? Dagna: Like the lyrium needs to flow, but if you're part of it, it takes you with it. so you can't be part of it. That makes me sad. I'm not sure why. It seems like whe should be part of it. Whatever "it" is. Dagna: Or maybe we're the ones who make it happen ? Whatever "it" is? Dagna: You know what's frustrating? Answers that aren't answers. Bleah. Dagna: I tried to make it happen again, but it wouldn't. Then I had a headache. And cocoa. And a lie-down.
I actually do feel like (and hope) the dwarves are a large aspect of DA4 as their complete lack of a fade connection is as interesting and meaningful as the elven relation to the fade. What of the Hunger demons and rock wraiths? What of the casteless? The lost thaigs? Bring back my boy Sandal. Let me kill Solas with the immutable dwarf who he thinks is lesser than all for being akin to a severed arm that still twitches when long dead.

Plus, dwarven society in Tevinter hasn't really been explored yet. We have a vague idea of what it's like, but it'd be super cool to see it firsthand. Tevinter politics in general is its own animal, and it'd be a shame if they don't take the opportunity to showcase it. There wasn't that much of Orlesian culture or politics in DA:I, much less anything about subcultures within Orlais, so I hope that DA4 makes sure to focus on Tevinter and not split its attentions between countries much. Maybe a quest or two (and DLC) outside Tevinter, but I'd like for them to mostly focus on showcasing all aspects of Tevinter as much as possible.

I'm not really a huge dwarf fan, but I'd like to see Kal-Sharok, since we don't really know much about it or the dwarves there yet. There's war table missions for Kal-Sharok to help fight Corypheus and the Venatori. What I remember about Kal-Sharok, they differ quite a bit from Ozammar, having less emphasis on the caste system. They have a democratic government with a "Paragon Elect" instead of a king. Their Legion of the Dead unit, the Rock-Knockers, don't have the whole "I am totally dead now, no matter what" thing going on. All around, they sound like Ozammar improved, but I'm sure there's some dirty secrets to root up. There's a codex I remember implying they've taken the taint in somehow? I found it: Trading With Kal-Sharok
My approach was carefully observed. This was not a thaig unused to watching its boundaries. I got the impression that if I'd been one of his Orzammar cousins, our meeting would've been swift and bloody. That is, if I'd been allowed to find the passage at all. As it was, he was polite and efficient, and he knew well the current market for everything he offered. Clearly their isolation is not because of fear, and certainly not disinterest. Among his wares, I saw the latest fabrics of Val Royeaux and volumes by a Free Marcher poet three centuries dead. This only added to my doubt of the official year of Kal-Sharok's "rediscovery" as declared by the Assembly of Orzammar. I didn't mention this to my host. As curious as I was, there was an undercurrent I found unsettling. I must stress that he and his helpers were professional and honest throughout. But there was something I can't describe. While he remained hooded the entire time, he looked me square in the eye when our deal was struck, unashamed.
I lived through a time of Blights. I've felt the gaze of a Grey Warden and seen the corruption of his prey. Why I remembered both in that moment, I still can't explain.
βOn meeting Novas Sturhald in Kal-Sharok, excerpted from the journals of Ser Evrain Abernache, noble merchant-scholar
