Dragon Age 4 is most likely happening, at some point, maybe, so it's probably for the best if we have a dedicated thread it. This includes:
- Discussion (official news, dev tweets,
leaks...) - Speculation (when will it be released, plot speculation...)
- Wishlist (what features would you like to see remain, brought back or taken out, romance wishlist...)

I speculate that Dorian, Harding, and maybe one other character will be the returning characters from previous games that join the main cast. I think that Mae will finally have her game debut, the one we've been waiting for for years. I also hope that Calpernia and Feynriel will have at least their own cameos.
I hope we finally get a butch warrior lesbian companion. I also hope we get a KISA-archetype for gay dudes, and that they'll have at least one romance option among the party. For the classes, I really want some interesting new warrior specializations and blood magic to come back for mages.

DA:I was the game I enjoyed the least, so there's a lot of stuff I would change.
But a big one is probably getting right the hell away from this open-world format. NOT EVERY GAME NEEDS TO BE OPEN WORLD.
At the very least, I want smaller areas, with denser content.
Oh, and the power mechanic. I never want to se that again.

Hot gay elf mage, pls.  I think blood magic should come back, like gaycaravaggio mentioned. I mean, Dorian basically said almost everyone uses it unofficially, even if it's not human sacrifices or whatever. Seems like this is the first time it would be weirder not to have it. |

Yeah, I seem to remember they used to talk about the "native population" of Par Vollen and Seheron. Then they stopped and we never found out WTF they are.  |

I'm not sure what's going on with the Fex or if they just scrapped that idea, though. |

I hope they do keep the Fex idea and make something new, because it's been a while since they added something totally new. The wiki page talks about them a little, just as the original natives of Par Vollen, but no details have ever been given. What do you guys think the Fex are/should be?  |

I don't know if it's smart to add something completely new to the table when they have so many things on their plate already. What Fex are? Probably the obligatory furry race of Thedas. I'm throwing in a guess that it's an aquatic, amphibian or a reptile race, or maybe even a bug-like race. Par Vollen IS mostly rainforests and jungles, so I don't think anything that is actually furry furry would make thematically much sense. |

I'm a little hesitant about them adding any more races because it'll be pushing into Elder Scrolls territory and possibly making romances trickier. We only have 4 now and Bull came real close to being race-restricted.  |

Qunari are pretty cool and if their appearance was more DA2 then they would be super cool, elves would be better if they looked like how they look in DAI's race selection cards (or in Gimolas' avatar), and dwarves... well, they are dwarves.

I hope Qunari is still an option we can pick for our characters race in DA4. I know they weren't overly popular but I think that was more due to their terrible CC options than anything. If I can't be a Qunari, I at least want to be able to romance another one. (Though the DA2 Qunari were definitely more  ) Buff Avvar or Fog Warrior option would also be pretty nice, as would one of those Tevinter Templar's, Dorian tells you about. I wouldn't mind a Mage of some sort either, I usually end up romancing Warrior's and Mage's over Rogues. Definitely want that KISA Warrior, though I wouldn't mind a romance that was less... 'light' I guess. Like, I'd not say no to a blood mage. I just don't want to end up with a romance that leads to an unhappy ending. I've had enough of those.  |
