For McCoubrey, the choice to romance the people you want as the gender you identify with, in-game, was integral to the system. “You know, we’re making a game that offers choice, and this is something that matters a lot to people,” she said as I took note of her beautifully rainbow-coloured hair. “It matters a lot to me. And it matters a lot to the team.” ----- I'm gonna hug her

This is from personal experience (animal right activism and all) but women tend to be more empathetic and inclusive with oppressed minorities. I'm not saying this is a genetic thing that would be nuts (hello I'm a dude LOL), but it's definitely a social consequence from a patriarchal system we live on. And I'll stop here because it's off-topic and english is hard lol

That's so awesome! I hope that Ubi will someday allow modding for their games, imagine all the sexy possibilities!

That interview was awesome! I’m confident that Patrick Weekes feels this way, so hopefully he is allowed to say these things too when DA4 press time happens. It’s refreshing to see devs be unapologetically welcoming of our experiences (and money)!

Some artwork of the husbando
He is gorgeous! ...Looking forward to all the artwork pairing him with the male romance options in the game. That interview was awesome! I’m confident that Patrick Weekes feels this way, so hopefully he is allowed to say these things too when DA4 press time happens. It’s refreshing to see devs be unapologetically welcoming of our experiences (and money)! I still don't trust him based on his past writing and actions. I've been hurt by Dragon Age too many times to really have any faith in them at this point. Whatever they do with Dragon Age 4 will be thew deciding factor for me. If they prove once again that we don't matter to them, I won't continue with the franchise anymore. I've already lost a lot of interest thanks to Inquisition so it wouldn't be the end of the world for me if I don't see the end of the story. ...Seriously BioWare, give me a gay KISA that is important to the story without any homophobia and all the fluffy stuff that Alistair and Cullen got or my money will be going to all the other gay games out there.

Hello there! I'm late to the party, forgive my superpost Also Kassandra is hot, and I am going to enjoy staring at her while I play. (Is that creepy? It kinda sounds creepy...) Totally normal, not like I stare to protagonists profoundly since Nathan Drake... nop .... From what little I know, The Minotaur was a real person, Asterion II of Crete, His father was Minos of Crete and the story goes that young Asterion was born with the "face" of a bull and hidden away, which in the myth, was in the labyrinth where Minos would feed him young children. Minotaur literally means Minos's bull. This bugged my OCD self when one of the jokes in FO4's Far Harbor DLC talked about a "Lurktaur", which, although completely made up even in-universe, was supposed to be "half woman, half mirelurk". Except that would mean "half bull, half mirelurk". Guess the Sole Survivor isn't an etymologist But then I became confused about why centaurs are so-named, since they are no-part-bull, and I couldn't find an answer. And I had no idea Minos or "The Minotaur" were supposedly real!
That video title says 11 things, but the thumbnail says 12 things. You can see both at once. WHICH ONE IS IT GUYS? They took note of her arms, excellent. I'm off to play Origins. Too much excitement (Odyssey) and disappointment (CP 2077) in one day... I'm knackered. I found that line and delivery highly amusing for some reason.Oh wow I really like the Kass one! I'll probably just end up getting a wall print of her. Hood instead of side-braid = fail (unless I'm just not seeing it)! Therefore your wall art idea is a good one Cool interview, though the comment about asexuality was a bit odd. Sure, romancing no one may mean you're ace, but it may not. I was hoping she was going to say that you could RP a romantic asexual character, who romances people without sex. It would be even cooler if you could do a no-sex route with either saying you're just not ready or something equivalent, or explicitly saying that you're asexual. Kass' expression after the dagger hits is perfect I'm gonna hug her We definitely need more women in devs' rooms. This is from personal experience (animal right activism and all) but women tend to be more empathetic and inclusive with oppressed minorities. I'm not saying this is a genetic thing that would be nuts (hello I'm a dude LOL), but it's definitely a social consequence from a patriarchal system we live on. And I'll stop here because it's off-topic and english is hard lol I totally agree, especially about how it's not a genetic thing, but situational. Do you all remember a couple AC games ago, when some idiot dev claimed they didn't have female characters because "female animations are difficult"? Glad to see that kind of stupidity and penchant for excuses to exclude people doesn't stand the test of time. I wonder how much McCoubrey or other women working at Ubisoft contributed to the decision to have gender-selection this time around.
Also now that we know this is important to the team, we definitely need to find ways of telling them directly how much we like the gay and appreciate it A very good idea. Knowing they made a lot of people happy and appreciative (and willing to buy their product) should solidify that they're going in the right direction. It’s refreshing to see devs be unapologetically welcoming of our experiences (and money)! Times are 'a changing, this is great!
