That does look like more fun! haha! I am just hoping the game isn't too awfully hard, mostly. I finally got it in the mail today. So, it's installing now. I think I might have to go to my sister's house soon though. Cool! hope you have great time later post your PC here please, I love seeing other people creations I cant play now too, I'm cooking for later and next I gotta go to grandma's

I deleted my character, I was having zero luck with that run-and it felt like the quests were kind of all glitching out on me, or I simply didn't understand it. I think I need to start over in a bit maybe after watching a lets play of this game or something. cause I am so not getting a lot of it, and the wiki is no help.

It can be pretty confusing and overwhelming at first, but you'll get it eventually. It was a big process of trial and error for me and a million deaths, but it was worth it in the end for the Ifan romance. Next time I'm just going through it on the easier mode with no regrets. Once was enough on the regular difficulty for me.

Yeah I came from playing POE to this and it was really hard to adapt myself to the gameplay. I'm not a big fan of the turn based combat because my pc is shit and with overcrowded fights my pc starts to be slow (in low graphics lol), then the ground and some nerf effects like frozen and the other (dunno the term in english heh slowed down? the oil thing ) just get in my nerves and I have no patience for long combats and I'm a shit gamer Also there is no pause option! It's so annoying following npcs in motion to click on them lol But the story is cool, the companions are great, even Red Prince surprised me as friend the little I saw of him. The spells are great too. I still prefer POE though but comparisons are odious, both games are great to me! I hope I can say the same of Pathfinder Kingmaker since that game is gonna be my next isometric rpg after these two. I cant really talk much about romance, only got that one scene and another little bit when I dismissed Fane in Act 1 in the ship lol

Yep. the combat is very strange. I do find it hard even on the easiest setting, but for me the combat is only one issue. the main issue I'm finding is just how...I have no idea which quests I should do when (also a problem I had with POE), and the quests even when using the wiki are a bit like "do this" and the wiki and the game neither tell you how to achieve it. -shrug- I have to assume my last attempt to do the quest "the Teleporter" failed cause I was too low leveled for the combat, but aside from that. My party glitched out and would no longer follow me. so by the time we got to the area with the enemies I had a horrible start to the battle cause I had to manually get all my team to the battle so they got a lot of moves before I did. I was so angry at that point I deleted my saves. Anywho, I'm going to avoid that quest for the most part, but I might do the first half for the teleportation gloves, as they are fun.

There are so many quests given to you all at once and you might not even be the right level for it! I blame that on the open world structure of the game....and that was the main reason I died so many times in a process of trial and error.
Your party members actually won't follow you through certain terrain...say if the path is poisoned for example. It's pretty annoying trying to manually get through those parts. Maybe that's what you encountered?
I was pretty stubborn and pushed through the entire game anyway just because I loved Ifan so much and there were plenty of parts I genuinely enjoyed...but it was definitely a lot of work figuring it all out and making sure I was doing the right quests instead of stuff I was not the right level for. ...But also I honestly wasn't sure if I was even building my characters properly! Wasn't a fan of the way skills worked.

I really am not sure. I just have to assume since I had to teleport my team to a new area that it broke the pathing maybe. I am not sure honestly. I do know I won't go back to that area again unless I'm a way higher level though.

Progress update: I've made it to the second island. My team is locked in now. I picked my 3 daddies as my team-I'm just paranoid that somehow I'll screw up and not get Fane to 100 friend points so I wanted to have all the options around in case they did get max friendship-but so far Fane is still the one that likes me best he's at 71 and we had awkward sex on the ship. Fun times! I'm level 10 and following a guide, I found online. I have a good bit less xp than the guide says I should, cause I messed up a few quests before I found the guide...but I'm having no issues with the combat so it's fine. The downside is the guide ends abruptly at the end of this chapter (possibly before the end) so after that I'm on my own I guess.

If need arises, you can always just google a solution to the specific quest that confounds you

I found a better wiki thankfully. I may still question myself on what quest I should be doing, but I'll figure it out eventually.

So I reached this scene with Mordus and I dont really want to learn this new source spell since I'm rping a goodie as always (well if you consider the Punisher a goodie ). First eating the heart of a voidwoken, ew grossss, I wouldnt do that. Second I know I'm not gonna use the spell except for voidwokens, the total destruction of soul no matter how evil it was just cancel any possibility for reborn and redemption so passsss Also, it's another chance to piss Rhalic off so it is fine for me (Amadia is the only goddess ""I like"", at the moment) and I dont really care for divinity and all that crap. I dont know if this will have consequences in the future and I'm sure next source teachers are gonna be just as bad as Mordus (who died by an invisible entity before I broke his bones ooopss) Although it seems the gods eat every spirit and their source in the hall of echoes? Yeah, all of them are crap. Trying to understand the lore of this universe I read some people saying that it is stated that souls reborn and all that, but only Larian knows the truth I guess. I dont care, eating souls is not my thing lol edit. oh it seems there are more ways to get source points, that's cool. Maybe I'll get to learn this spell afterall even if I wont use it. I found a better wiki thankfully. I may still question myself on what quest I should be doing, but I'll figure it out eventually. I use this to see how many quests I didnt touch before starting a new act, hope it's helpful!

So, I made it to the nameless isle-which is the next to last exploration area I think? eh....I know it's not a very big one anyway. I got there at level 15 and everything was level 16 as I knew it would be, but grinding for levels in this game is tricky at best-sometimes impossible. but I got to level 16 now...but the chances of me getting to 18 before the next area-seems unlikely. I'm always just a little under leveled.

I pulled a Paige Matthews and teleported her away from her totems while my character was talking to her looool but my three companions died and even some magisters helped me lmao here's hoping! What was wrong with him aside from that one scene missing? As far I know his romance in act 4 does not work but I'm sure @kymira knows more about it

As far I know his romance in act 4 does not work but I'm sure @kymira knows more about it If you mean the sex part, I can confirm that much at least works. It was pretty neat. I locked in with bone daddy. It was a tough choice. I sort hated to not romance Ifan, but all the more reason to play again. Oh yeah. update. I made it to the Arx map. I managed to level up to 18 during my first quest there. Also I fought the kracken..probably too soon or something cause it ran away when I got it to half health. but whatever...I was pretty bored with that boss fight anyway. If I seriously missed out on something good there, I can always reload later this evening. but I couldn't find any info on that fight. -shrug- Anywho... a thought on the last act though, it was sad to have to kill the female teammates I had left behind, but killing Red Prince was quite fun. Ifan took him and the elf out in one water attack.. whoopsy. #Wrecked I'm thinking my next run I'll try to use different characters- maybe Ifan (cause romance), Red prince (or Lohse), and Sibille. Though I am also a bit curious about Lone Wolf making a duo run of just Ifan and my character. eh....has anyone tried that yet?

As far I know his romance in act 4 does not work but I'm sure Kymira knows more about it Yeah, his romance worked correctly up until right after the sex scene part when you arrive on Arx. He basically forgot all about the romance and his dialogues that were supposed to trigger were missing, BUUUT believe that's all been fixed, I haven't tested it myself yet (im slow with gaming progress right now ) I love seeing peoples takes on how he looks.
