So I started a new run of of DOS2 but before I got out of act 1, I had my first game crash and lost 30 minutes of game-play (which included a rather annoying fight). I really can't stand stuff like that when it happens. I may still finish the run, but odds are I won't.  Game crashes are just super annoying! |

So gift bag 4 dropped today. Most of it is explained pretty well, but the new talents are a bit underdocumented online. Gladiator (Every time you are hit with a melee attack while wielding a shield, you perform a counterattack. Once per turn) Hay Maker (still need verification, but I believe it makes you always hit with attacks-but you can't do critical damage) Description currently bugged on all platforms Indomitable (You gain immunity to stunned, frozen, knocked down, polymorphed, petrified, crippled for 1 turn after getting one of the statuses. once every 3 turns) Sounds like a waste of a talent point but -shrug- Magic cycles (puts out a totem that increases skill points by 2 for either pyrokinetic and Hydroophist or geomancy and Aerotheurgy magic-cycles each turn) Sounds really useful for elemental playstyle! Master Thief (become invisible while pickpocketing) Sadist (melee attacks deal extra elemental damage to burning or poisoned targets. Also extra physical damage to bleeding targets) Soulcatcher (Temporary zombie ally when a team member goes down till your fallen ally is revived or 3 turns pass) Greedy Vessel ( Every time someone casts a source spell 20% chance you gain a source point) Kind of useful, but negated a bit by the new mod that lets you regain points by sleeping. Because of BGIII make me pay attention on this game again and learn that every companion can be romance (last I heard, red prince is only male that available for male PC).
Game is a bit too hard for me at normal but I think I can manage until the end.

Well, I finished it and really loved it. The twist at the end with Dallis blew my mind. I feel bad for anyone who doesn't take Fane with them on a first play through.
Also, I just have to say - Red Prince is a dick and the actual fucking worst. His spirit sassed me again on the boat at the end, so I purged his source and regret nothing.

I think I'm gonna make a female character for Lohse/Sebille since I left them both behind the first time, but how am I supposed to choose between Ifan and Fane??? (I loved Beastie too, but he was definitely third place for me.)

Ohhh! New update. It is tempting, but I don't think I have the game installed at the moment. I'll look up what the gear is like.  Oh, the captain's armor boosts both barter and speech. Would have been very useful before the mod that lets you use the whole parties stats for bartering. Still might be worth using. I wonder if the vulture armor lets you use the spread your wings type move without needing to use the actual morph...hmmm... |

Some of you may have riddled out that I started a new run of this game recently (darn free updates keep tempting me!)
Anywho, the new update brought in a new bug for me. My game crashes whenever I try to interact with the wedding cake in arx. It's not a huge deal since it's not necessary to finish the game, but still...my need to squeeze out all xp is saddened by it. Also worried it might not get fixed this late in things.

There was a new patch that fixed a lot of bugs but I was in particular happy about this one: Fixed a crash related to interacting with the Wedding Cake in Arx.Yay! The cake is no longer a lie.  |
