Following our annual gaming tradition, a new thread covering this year's E3 convention was bound to happen. It will run from June 11th to June 13th in Los Angeles for the public - with EAPlay, E3 Press Conferences and others starting a few days before that on June8th. Unlike previous years, some conferences will be absent this time around such as Playstation (which seemingly will create its own event later this year, I believe). We may get to see some brand-new exclusive trailers for some most anticipated games like Bloodlines2, TLOU2 and such. New games being unveiled, some more release-dates getting confirmed, some new teasers here and there. Let's wait and see what surprises lie in store for us this year at E3! The schedule above will be updated once the official one is released. Links: E3 TwitterYoutube Live at E3E3 Schedule eTeknix

Lol I posted this in the werewolf thread last night. Sadly Im no longer interested in playing it. It's going to have a set male protag that has a son. Not really interested in playing a set protag in what could of been an awesome RPG in a universe that is all about making your OWN character.

On the PC front, I'd forgotten that the Paranoia TTRPG is getting a video game adaptation. Honestly, I'm not sure how well it'll work out, especially as a single-player experience, since so much of the fun in that game is derived from backstabbing your fellow players. Personally, I hope Paranoia, Cyberpunk, and Bloodlines 2 succeed and lead to more CRPGs based off of tabletop game settings like Delta Green, Eclipse Phase, Blades in the Dark, Coriolis, etc. I hope that Square Enix shows off the Avengers game Eidos Montreal has been reportedly working on, just because knowing that they're close to finishing an Avengers game means that they're potentially closer to starting a new Deus Ex game. I think it's safe to say that Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 won't be at E3 2019. Doom Eternal and Wolfenstein: Youngblood will likely be Bethesda's flagship titles for this E3. Ubisoft is definitely going to be showing off Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, along with three other AAA titles. My guess is another Assassin's Creed will be among them. Maybe a Splinter Cell. We know that EA's going to be showing a gameplay reveal for Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, which will likely be pretty neat. Respawn has an excellent track record for gunplay and movement mechanics, I have no doubt they'll do a solid job there. I'm still holding out hope for another Dragon Age 4 teaser, but I doubt it'll be anything more substantial than the last one we saw.

I hope we get a release date for Final Fantasy 7 remake. Um...I have no real expectations, but honestly, it'd be nice if something gay was announced. The drought is real.

Although it's very unlikely, I still hope someone will announce a game with a set gay male protagonist.

Although it's very unlikely, I still hope someone will announce a game with a set gay male protagonist. I'm kinda over set male protagonists. Being gay would be a plus but ehhhh... I would be more for a game with gender choice and only gay love interests, but that's even less likely to happen

I would be more for a game with gender choice and only gay love interests, but that's even less likely to happen I agree that we also need more games with gender option. But it doesn't mean there shouldn't be games with a set gender anymore. It's always good to have different kind of games (lots of games with gender choice, but also enough games with a default female/male protagonist). I think it's great that there are already games with set female protagonists who are openly queer (The last of us, Life is strange). But that should count for gay guys as well. And when it comes to set protagonists we always get the short end of the stick.

Although it's very unlikely, I still hope someone will announce a game with a set gay male protagonist. Yeah, I want a male version of TLOU2 this year. "Here's our new AAA game, here's our protagonist, and oh look, he's going to kiss that dude and you can do nothing about it! Coming to PC, PS4, and XBO this fall!"

Yeah, and the problem of the limited lesbian appearances is that they’re still generally marketed as fetish material for straight guys rather than being legit lesbian representation. So even if you see more lesbians in games, they’re not lesbians for lesbians.
i really would like to see some element of character customization and choice of love interest start being a thing in more non-RPG games. Like we don’t have to get full-on “your decisions shape the story,” but just “So would you rather the PC be with X or Y?” Just the minor variation.
Fingers crossed for SOME kind of gay content going on. Could really use some more video gayming.

I just want daddy Sam Fisher get a new splinter cell. The constant yes and no on the game is killing me. Im also worried we are going to enter soon a stage of new consoles. Granted if PS5 lets me play ps4 then no problem but otherwise eek. But yes would like to see more games give us choices in general. I feel like when Im playing now non choice game Im facepalming on some character decisions. Even if choices are small and not very significant would be nice. Would love a gay male protagonist or at least have the option to make it so, but I can’t help that will take some time. Unless blizz gives me a soldier 76 spin off .

I'm in the pessimistic side and a set gay male protagonist is beyond achievable now, maybe a semi-side character but I want moaaaarrr rpgs with options for all!!! Ehmmm urban fantasy rpg with witches, hunters, werewolves and vampires as race choices, maybe fairies? DAT WOULD BE MY DREAM GAYME! Probably we are all gonna die due climate change before we see this LMAO I disagree that Ellie or Max are fetichized examples of lesbian/bi female protagonists, they are very respectable examples. Again, I doubt we are gonna see male characters like them before I die Realistic expectations: - Greedfall and companions, I mean they need to be in E3 right? SPIDERS COME ON - See something of companions from Cyberpunk. This is not realistic because CDPR but maybe seeing gay flirts. - See more from The Waylanders Is expecting something of DA4 a realistic expectation?

Again, I doubt we are gonna see male characters like them before I die They are definitely respectable lesbian/bi female protagonists. There are not really any counterparts for male protags sadly. So a set gay male protag would be a definitely positive thing and would not be just another set male protag. To me there is no doubt that m/m has it worse than f/f when it comes to representation in gaming. On this coming E3, I am looking forward to Doom Eternal the most and perhaps Halo Infinite next.

A set gay male protagonist is not just another male protagonist, I have never identified myself with male protagonists in games, I want to feel that

Seriously agree with you all Beefy Titans , Davrin's boobs , Rouccoco, and @liarashepard -the video game industry has never had a canon gay main character in a triple A game, and it's time it happened! Heck, we haven't even had one in a well-known game of any sort not counting Dream Daddy-and you can't count it cause it was made for anyone but gay men sadly. (Add to that we only got the option to be actually gay after a huge backlash-before he was pretty much straight except for dad's in the game...so much eye rolling)

Huh, a sci-fi game from the studio that made Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice? I'm intrigued.

Huh, a sci-fi game from the studio that made Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice? I'm intrigued. It apparently might be mp/co-op only? Saw that somewhere...could be wrong though. Also noticed the leak article says well find out more on June 7th during Microsofts conference but the schedule posted at the top of the thread says June 9th lol Edit: ah that date table wasnt set in stone NEVERMIIIND.
