Thought I'd start a thread for this since I got an email today with some details. Today, ahead of everywhere else, we bring you an exclusive first look at some of the characters in the game. You will get to know them. You may have to fight them. If the stars should align, you may even fall for them... Know someone who loves character-driven stories, or David’s writing? Let them know about Summerfall Studios! Encourage them to follow us on social media! For every 1000 cumulative followers or mailing list subscribers between now and the Kickstarter launch, we will reveal a character behind these silhouettes, and give you a taste of what’s to come. While this first Summerfall game isn’t an RPG, it draws from everything David, myself, and the rest of the team have ever worked on. It is the culmination of many parts of our careers, and also goes in a direction that few of us could have expected… but will make perfect sense once you see it. We are so proud of what our team has put together, and we can’t wait to show you we’re making something truly spectacular.

-blinks slowly- it's not an rpg, but it has romances and DG? What is even going on here? I'm equal parts interested and skeptical about the whole thing. D.G. is an amazing world builder and writes some good romances sometimes even...so yeah. We shall see.

One to keep an eye on though.

It sounds like Dream Daddy but for everyone. I only like my visual novels with a bit of sexy nsfw art so I'm not sure how to feel about this, it's sad is not a rpg. Good luck to this new baby game developer though, maybe if it grows enough they can do a bigger game, maybe a rpg!

not gonna lie that whitewashed Jesus is hot XD When I saw the picture in the email all I could focus on were the flip-flops. They both look pretty good in different ways though. The colour scheme on the lady reminds me so much of my lady Boss in Saint's Row right down to the hair colour and style (she also loved suits.) So I'm digging her already.

What era is that fashion, 80's 90s? I'm not sure what to think yet. Also character reveals without names...odd choice there.

Only two days to go until our first game is announced at PAX Australia! We’re currently in a state of excitement and anxiety, putting all the finishing touches on our Fig crowdfunding campaign, doing a final recording session, trying to take deep breaths and stay hydrated. (DRINK WATER, FRIENDS.) Being so close, we’re so thrilled to share the next two character reveals! From David: "These two are more than they look at first glance. One is a life-long friend, the other a new and dubious ally... but you'll need both to make it through this." oh no, they're hot.

If our campaign meets its goal, CHORUS will be a feature-length branching adventure, with two fully fleshed out romance options, a bunch of kickass interactive musical numbers and a bunch of non-interactive songs -- as well as an awesome soundtrack. The basic version of the game will have all key lines of dialog voiced, and of course all songs with full vocals! Depending on how many stretch goals we’ll be able to hit above that, we’ll be able to add full voice acting, more musical numbers, make the game longer and more extensive, and add more romance options. We are targeting a PC-only release initially. If the game does well enough at release, we'll explore taking it to more platforms like iOS (phone and tablet), Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and more.

Starring Laura Bailey? Does that mean the PC is female only? Also only 2 romances unless people really pay out the nose before launch...well then.
Edit: So yeah, just got through reading the website that answered my questions. This game is not what I was hoping for, and I already had very few expectations. I look forward to hearing how the rest of you enjoy it though.

Was hoping we could choose our gender and play as a gay male.... well, this game isn't for me then.

No gender selection? I'm glad for female players but once again m/m is being treated like trash, meh. I mean I'm not surprised Gaider is only good at writing straight romances lmao I hope there are lesbian options and not only straight ones, best of luck for those interested, I'm out edit. yes, there will be lgbtq characters, my mind is at least a little at peace knowing this is not straight only shit, f/f-m/m solidarity edit2.

For the sake of lesbian and bisexual women I hope that having LGBT+ representation doesn't mean the main character is straight and has only straight romance options, while the LGBT characters end up being non romanceable.

I hope that too, I asked them and I hope they answer soon. We had Dream Daddy as "m/m" game though so I'm not annoyed or anything, just not interested, I was kinda meh already since they said it wasnt going to be an RPG game but lack of m/m just put me off the wishlist. But I hope there will be f/f romances at least. Dream Daddy was awful and offensive for me though, a joke for straight people in mind and not gay/bi men as main target audience, the only thing I liked about that game is the inclusion of a trans dad, but there were too many things I hated about that game: the fact we needed to ask to have a gay husband backstory for them to add him into the game because they said at first that maybe the PC was a straight lonely man LOL yikes, some comments from the devs infuriated me so much in some interviews (calling people that do romances in games sociopaths??) and how some dads dont even mention men as past love interests AND how one of them still is with his wife because why would you break up a sad and terrible straight couple TM But yeah enough of rambling! I hope they answer soon and I can inform you guys if there is f/f romance

I hope they answer soon and I can inform you guys if there is f/f romance I didn't like Dream Daddy either. It was so cliche and the romance part was rather minor compared to the parenting part. Most time of the game you spent with Amanda and the rest was about the relationship between the other daddies and their children. Plus, the children were represented very stereotypical as well. The girls were always well behaved, intelligent, clever, and cute, and the boys were kinda antisocial, and badly brought up. I've also never understood why the boy/girl ratio was so skewed. As if gay dads can only have daughters, because they would be stressed too much with boys... I've always had the feeling the game wasn't made for me but for straight dudes...which is kinda strange. I mean they decided to develop a game about gay daddies but made straight gamers their target aduience. Why? It leaves the impression that they thought the idea of gay dads is hilarious and they just wanted to make fun of it. Which is kinda disrespectful as well.

I mean I dont trust Gaider in the slightest tbh, why showing the heart symbol for Apollo (who seems to be the most plot-relevant character like Alistair) and not showing the heart symbol for Persephone too? (who seems to be a Morrigan-like character) I'm so tired that straight people always being the focus on the marketing... Anyway, I hope my queer gurls here can enjoy this! I think that tweet is pretty much a confirmation, not a good one but hey it's something. Enjoy this!!!

Did someone say Laura Bailey? I love her so much barcCry. This game at least sounds very different from anything we usually see, so I’m mildly interested, but it doesn’t come out for a while so

I have my eye on this cuz like you said its very different. Like waaat? A musical? haha. I saw you can have a sing-off with a Minotaur. Not sure about backing it though. And yeah whoa Q4 2021 is far off.

I am not a huge fan of musicals so I'll definitely be taking a pass on this one.
Still going to keep an eye on development though, simply because I'd love to see more indie developers making it. The AAA market just isn't what it used to be.
