Meh, don't like her mods because of her active stance against same sex romance mods, because ot's against original vision, but then creates Thane mod and it okay. |

Yeah that was the main reason I stopped using Back Off, and the Recalibrated mods when I was looking to use the Same Gender Romance mods from 1/2. Going on about 'design integrity' and 'this is how Bioware made these characters/the game' and then making mods that change stuff in a game whilst bleating about not wanting to allow their mods to work with the Same Gender romance mod is pretty telling. |

*sigh* I really, REALLY fucking tire of this class of straight woman. "I LOVE the gays, but THIS CHARACTER could never be gay, because I love him, so that makes it impossible for him to be gay, I just don't SEE him that way!"
I guarantee you, if it was "fan response" that drove the motivation to not implement Kaidan's bisexuality in ME1, it was less the straight dudebros who don't want ANY gayness showing up their games (not that they weren't in consideration, but they weren't the driving factor, since they probably nuke Kaidan on Virmire anyway so they never have to commit to even a ninjamance...), and more THAT group of straight women. Because I've seen plenty of them do that - and so has everyone else, just take one look at the BSN.

$31.23 is ridiculosly expensive for an autograph, the shipping for my Garrus statue was €60 and he weighs several pounds I know right? And even if i got one of the other ones, it'd cost approximately 90-ish dollars already including the 30$ shipping (a little less in euros for me, I believe) with the difference of it being just one autograph - which, after thinking about this for a while, made me reconsider getting it alltogether. Spending $90 on a single autograph isn't worth it for it despite loving the heck out of that videogame character :\ You're probably better off waiting to see if either of them come to your area, last time I went to a convention with Raphael Sbarge his autograph was £20 (€30, I think), I heard he's attended cons in mainland europe. |

I'm pretty sure that's the original way I used to do the romances when I first played ME1 before the mods came out. Make a female character, swap gender - you'll get constantly referred to as a female character (or male for Femshep.) But it's a small start at least. Hopefully the person who made the proper romance mod or someone similar might be able to make a proper romance out of it (and for all Shepard's) one day. I mean, it's 2021 and we shouldn't fricking need a mod to do it, but that's Bioware all over. |

The shadow work in general there looks pretty strange. Compare the harsh shadows on Kaidan to the very mild shadows on the bed. Also there are several atrong sources of light and ambient/reflected light but the lighting on Kaidan is what you’d expect from basically a single strong light from one direction and some reflected back lighting. The lighting in the pillow is texture based lighting (the object is painted to have fake shadows) and I believe some of that is on the male bodies in ME3 too. So some of the wonky lighting could also be that they probably painted shading into the neck of the neck textures and combined with the weird environmental lighting systems and filters of MELE it looks.... like you’re on shrooms.

It is kinda hard to essentially use base game tools to make an NPC that looks good enough to stand next to face scan, based in real people with unique hair, skin, and even face scan animation Asari and Asari Cosplayers. Suvi and Gil are like comparing vanilla Skyrim NPCs to someone’s 1000 mods Skyrim.
i wouldn’t doubt they spent a bit of time on him, tweaking him to not look like complete garbage in various lighting, etc. where as the hardest part of designing some of the other human looking companions was getting past all of Mac Walters notes on what they should look like and scrapping the photos of the female models he’s spanking it to now off your desk every morning.
