Switching gears back over to the next Mass Effect game...
I am ALREADY fucking tired of people talking like it's going to bring back Commander Shepard and the franchise will once again center around them and none other. Like... as a character, they deserve the chance to freaking REST after all this time, and, as a matter of game play and mechanics... Shepard will have ended the Reaper threat, a threat that has existed in the galaxy since time immemorial. After THAT... how is anything a function concern for them? We KNOW they'll win at that point. And like, yeah, a video game medium also offers that certainty, but the dramatic weight is just gone when you take the Reaper Slayer and pit them against any other foe.

I doubt they'll bring back Shepard. I hope not anyway, I really don't want another game where Liara gets all the big moments cause (everyone else could be dead) /like they wouldn't have done that anyway.

Emily Wong's voice actor recently talked about not being in ME3, she was originally scheduled to record dialogue but was then told she wasn't needed

After playing Mass Effect Legendary Edition twice already all I can say is that I love this game so much. They kept some of the bugs and actually turned them into a feature. Like that Keeper that's near Avina on the Citadel that was troublesome to scan in the OG but it's not anymore in LE. After you scan it you can now examine it and Avina will tell you to not disturb it just like before. Of course there are some bugs but not even close to as much as there were before and I think they added some party banters in ME1 because Ash and Liara are actually talking to each other during main missions. Joker in ME2 talks more in the cockpit as well. Some of his lines are new. I already deleted the OG from my PC and I'm doing a brand new PS5 run because I finally upgraded my console and MELE runs so good on it!

Mass Effect in a big hole...seems legit.

Yeah I wish I was super excited for this image right now but the whole thing I am seeing on social media of mass effect team blocking people for just asking for representation is just sad. If they don't want to address it sure I guess... but I don't think blocking is the message you want to sent. And if its becoming a sort of spam, there's a mute feature so people can still express themselves on the tweet if they want, just many ways to really handle this situation, and never a good choice is taken.
My take so far if they really want to pull me back they will really have to outdone themselves in m/m romance on this new game. Aside from romance I just hope Andromeda is just not forgotten and the similarities these promotions have shown, ultimately leads to the galaxies connecting somehow.

I sort of don't care at this point? I'm not writing off playing it in 5 years or whatever when it comes out if things seem better, but Andromeda being dropped and the remaster not including Kaidan as an option for Male Shepard in ME1 has just really broken all trust I had and I have more negative memories about Mass Effect than positive ones now.
Bioware isn't the only place to get gay content in video games anymore and other companies don't make me feel like I'm such an inconvenience and burden to them.

Bioware isn't the only place to get gay content in video games anymore and other companies don't make me feel like I'm such an inconvenience and burden to them. Ditto.
Like, I had this big write up on Twitter on Tumblr that basically said as much, that at this point, I just don't feel comfortable picking up any new Mass Effect content, KNOWING that BioWare doesn't care.
And, in particular, that they would sooner listen to the homophobes than step in and do something - ANYTHING - about them when they come after those of us asking BioWare live up to their claims of being inclusive. Like my big write-ups said as much, that N7 Day in particular is permanently wrapped up in the homophobia I experience in this fandom that's been allowed to go on unchecked. Remember the MELE announcement from N7 Day 2020? I made a comment on the official Twitter about wanting Male Shepard/Kaidan in the first game, and I got bombarded with homophobic responses. Never once did any kind of moderation step in to say things like "this isn't acceptable treatment of a fellow fan." Sure, Twitter is an ungovernable mess for any kind of corporate account and all, but... It's not like this is an isolated incident.
This is the kind of fan that BioWare wants to engage with. And if that's the case, they can have them, and I'll go elsewhere.

Yeah, BW is that type of progressive person that slowly becomes more conservative, not cause that’s inherent to becoming older, but because they don’t do introspection and secretly believe themselves inherently smarter than everyone and never want to humble themselves to challenge themselves and be better.
And also as long as Mac Walters is involved and in power, I think ME is going to be held back from its full potential.
Which sucks cause I’ve been playing Starfinder TT, and it makes me really wish I had something like ME to look forward to but I can’t help but think whatever new ME is coming, will be a disappointment.

While I would love for that to be true, I have a hard time believing that to be the case! They looked flipped to me. (From Liara to Kaidan in popular to least popular).
If this is correct though, it's funny how they still like to pretend Kaidan doesn't exist and refuse to add on his same-sex romance in the first game....Wake up BioWare!

I was thinking it was flipped too hahaha. Although Garrus being in the middle is what gives me some sort of maybe? But yeah is quite odd. Unless is just based on the fact that kaidan and ashley being your first squad members they stay longer on people's parties and ultimately Kaidan is highest for being the one more rescued virmire wise. Where as Liara she is the last character you engage with and add on the squad. Only way I can see these stats work.

It's interesting to see Kaidan come out on top of that chart. I hope it's real, but IDK if I believe it or not. I remember back in July the stats were 60 percent saved Ashely, but I don't see stats for it now (and he was dead last in popular/most used back then). I wonder if the stats are different now. (I just researched all of this for about 15 minutes cause I don't know why)
