phantomrachie FF14? Fun MMO, with decent story...with forced dungeons sadly, play tank/healer while going through the story if you can, I can't *gets hit with half hour DPS queue time* (tank/healer is instant) and good PvE end-game. It has tab targeting (it can and will feel slow under level 50, because of 2.5 second global cooldown), world isn't open and fast travel points are everywhere (the world feeling small as a result). Also, it looks gorgeous (IMHO). Abilities and boss fights are flashy, world contains absolutely great vistas... Sounds interesting. I really enjoy final fantasy. And 14 & 11 are the only ones I havent tried. With the new expansion I thought it might be a good time to check it out. Ashii6 phantomrachie Heeeyyy if you guys like getting sidetracked with minigames and fun side stories, play the Yakuza series, starting with 0 Ive never played a Yakuza game, but Ive heard alot of good things and say some gameplay of 0, it looks fun. Ive been waiting for a sale for it on PSN to give it a go.

finished my replay of dishonoured 1 and all its dlc, and i just started dishonoured 2! i'm soooooo excited. playing as emily of course, and loving her already. my pc isn't the best so i'm actually playing on all low settings and still getting a bit of lag, and that bums me out a bit. but it's still playable, and i'm stoked to get back into this world!!!

I have been playing Deus Ex Mankind Divided. And I love it so far. The art style and the music are very pleasing. But the best part is the level designs where you have so many ways to complete missions. You can shoot everyone in your way, explore secrets to bypass enemies, hack doors to avoid fighting, hack robots and sentry guns to fight for you, or stealthily sneak around. These options are so fun.
I also love the portrayal of racism against augmented people in the game where your PC experiences it first hand.

If I can find it I will be playing the hell out of Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door again. Been watching the Game Grumps play it and its making me all nostalgic for the game again.

Yeah, I got the GOT Telltale game too. I'm not sure when I'll get to that one, because of other games needing to play, and from what I understand, that one was one of the more underwhelming series they've done. Oh, and I finished Until Dawn. Oooh boy did I suck, only two characters survived. I've looked up what I did wrong, and I think in a week or so I'll go back and try to fix my mistakes. Right now, I think I'm going to either go back to Horizon: Zero Dawn. I'm thinking of going through Life Is Strange, since I have it still downloaded on my PS4 and only went a bit into the first episode, but I should probably balance out the teenager games.

I am watching HZD on YouTube right now and really enjoying it. It's more of the same as a lot of other action adventure platforming games but it's a fun original setting and I enjoy the dialogue and Aloy's character. I'm happy to be watching it instead of playing it, since I really prefer RPGs if I'm going to be investing a lot of hours in playing, but it's a fun game. And I love that it's a female PC not overly sexualized and that the NPCs are very diverse. Game of Thrones Telltale is free on PS+, so I downloaded that and did the 1st episode this morning...it's ok so far. i enjoyed it right until my child protag got stabbed in the eye that got too much for me lol I played GoT and enjoyed it but kind of lessened my enjoyment as the episodes progressed and it was obvious that there wasn't actually much choice with consequence. IMO that seems to be a failing of TT as a whole, since their gimmick is that it's narrative gameplay with choices and consequences, but usually it's a small change that doesn't affect much. I realize it's impossible to have branching choices influencing all further content, but it still feels like false advertising.

From what I've seen, it seems like Telltale is at it's best when they're telling their own take on a franchise (like Batman) or doing their own original characters within the franchise (Walking Dead, Tales of the Borderlands).

Since I don't have the money for a new desktop PC at the moment while mine is currently self-destructing (after 7 years, I can't blame it too much, hardware isn't forever), I've been replaying the old first Dishonored on my laptop. It's still so much fun and has one of the most immersive settings I've ever experienced in a video game. Not that it is the first to do industrial steampunk, but Dunwall is so well-designed: the dirt and grime, the rat-filled backroads, the pretty old houses of the nobility, the concrete-and-metal whale oil processing plants, the tension of dodging the Tallboys that make the whole screen shake when they come by and the moaning and retching of the Weepers, it just all works together so well. Sure the graphics are dated, but it really shows what cohesive design can do for a game. That scene where you climb out of the corpse pit while the wagon drops ever-new bodies (some still alive) is one that has stayed with me since I've first played that game. Also, Clean Hands/Ghost forever. Now if only there wasn't that bug that prevents you from actually getting the second achievement if you trigger the Granny Rags quests. I forgot not to talk to her, damnit.

I have enjoyed the TT games I've played, I'm not saying they're bad. Just that I feel their spiel about choices and consequences ring hollow and it's a false accomplishment that a lot of the media seems to buy. I get it, I don't realistically expect there to be much variation possible from a game, otherwise it will have to be fairly short, like Tyranny, in order to develop enough divergent paths to explore.
