Gothic series is one of my very fav ever but I'm unable to finish G3. It's not the Gothic I love and enjoy. The entire Risen Saga is way better than G3. I'm not sure if I'll buy Elex. Probably yes, on sales From the series I liked 2 and 3 the best, even if the last had way too many kill/fetch quests. I played the first Risen, and it just didn't work for me. Also, if they want defined characters, they should have named the Risen protagonist something, going with nameless hero again was a tad lazy.

Risen 2 and 3 are gold I don't mind a nameless protag at all, if the story is good. G3's story is weak IMO so I'll probably never end this game. It's one of 2 games I'm unable to finish. The other one is The Witcher 1 with an amazing story but... terrible mechanics...

The most memorable thing out of the first Witcher is definitely the island. It's just full of folklore. Definitely a nice escape from the swamps that were impossible to navigate.

G3's story feels off to me. Probably because they made a lot of mistakes, forgot about some things from G1 and 2. Protag's friends were also badly written, not the way they used to be. W1 is an amazing game with an amazing story, like everything - all novels, books and games. But my hands are not made to use so many keys CDPR planned to release it on xbox 360 at first buy then resigned and focused fully on developing W2. Going back home now, will be playing Shadow of The Tomb Raider

There's a face transporter mod for Fallout 4, so I'll probably use it and play again from the beginning, it feels so different now that it runs smoothly. Tried checking how my character looks like now that my pc isn't a potato, and Carlos still looks cute There is some writing and plot depth missing, but I miss that world. And F76 made me want more atom bomb, and an MMO won't do...

So, I just finished Alien: Isolation.
In short, I really, really liked it. It's one of the biggest love letters to the original movie that I've ever seen, which is an especially pleasant surprise given how many Alien games and expanded universe stories hew much closer to Aliens' style. The 1970s sci-fi aesthetic and the stealth-focused survival horror gameplay work wonderfully to hit the same fears and tension-release cycle pacing of Alien's second half, and the writing does a great job of expanding the Alien universe beyond the Xenomorphs/Weyland-Yutani/US Colonial Marines bubble. It's not perfect. There are some pacing issues in the second half, and I think the game could've been cut by at least a quarter without losing anything. Still, it's hard for me not to recommend it, especially to anyone who likes the Alien franchise and/or survival horror games.
Edit:
One thought that occurred to me as I was playing is that A:I replicates some of my favorite parts of System Shock 2 - namely leaning around a corner to catch a glimpse of a monster in the distance and hoping against hope that it didn't see me. The key difference between A:I and SS2 is that A:I's top-tier weapon, the flamethrower, still feels like a last resort tool that doesn't always work effectivley. The sheer firepower and efficiency of SS2's top-tier weapon, the assault rifle, almost immediately turned the game from survival horror to a straight-up FPS, which removed a lot of the tension I liked in the first part of the game.
I thought of some advice I learned for anybody who'd like to give it a shot. - Enemies can hear the motion tracker from up to 1.5 meters away. Use it with caution.
- Relatedly - when you're in a locker or cupboard, you can lean back to make yourself less visible and see your motion tracker's entire screen.
- Enemies can also see the light from your flashlight, as well as (so I've heard) the pilot lights on your flamethrower and molotov cocktails.
- Noisemakers and flashbangs are some of the most useful items in the game.
- This game rewards exploration - it's a survival horror game, after all, and scrounging around for resources is a big part of the genre.
- Avoid using the flamethrower excessively. Fuel can be hard to come by, and let's just say that the alien will adapt its tactics if you use it too frequently.
- The logs and emails scattered across the station have some of the best writing in the game; definitely seek them out if you're interested in the setting and/or characters.

Rotating between Stardew Valley and a mobile game i got recently called 'Night of the Full Moon' Really enjoying the mobile game a lot more than I thought I would, rpg with turn based card battles and it seems that each 'chapter' makes you try a new kind of deck which I do like. Though a downside is sometimes you do get in a bad enough situation where you need to restart the chapter but that's only happen to me twice so far.

is your character myopic like mine? Somewhere along while I was playing I decided that yeah, he really needs those glasses, and just headcanoned him going trough a destroyed optics store muttering mierda, mierda under his breath and looking for frames that fit. I'd have the same problem. Also, what is armour, I just cycle between these two

I need to free up some space on my PS4, need the room for AC Odyssey next month. Life is getting in the way so my gaming time isn't as bountiful as I would like it to be. I don't want to buy an external hard-drive or delete big games which have a chunk of dlc attached to them that I still need to finish i.e FO4, The Witcher 3. Soooo in order to free up space I need to finish one game and then I can remove it from my PS4. Played some Southpark- The Fractured but Whole today, pretty confident that I'll be able to complete this. I swear though this game is gonna kill me. Fucksake!

I'm meant to be playing ME1 and/or MEA. Yet, I'm playing SWTOR. Haven't touched it in ages so it's interesting. ^^ added that missing word.
I hate that it shows that I edited a post. I always feel like it means I'm changing posts after people have liked or commented on them.

I love everything about this game. I am in awe at how dense the jungle is and how well it runs on console. It's soooo good and yeah, so gorgeous! The water effects, all the scenery, just everything. The new stealth mechanics are so satisfying and fun. What a game. But I still find it so weird that Lara calls Jonah her best friend now and Sam is completely out of the picture. I know it's just the way it is, but it kinda feels like the devs didn't want two women in the main roles...and I think so many people picked up on the blatant gay subtext-that-might-as-well-have-been-text in the reboot that they got gun shy about the pairing. But it would have been great to watch their relationship develop regardless. Oh well I guess we'll always have 2013 I honestly don't remember who Sam is *puts up shield* *Edit* totally didn't see the picture. I remember her now.

TR re-boot and The Last of Us, I remember the class of 2013 fondly.

Take notes Bioware *noodle arms flashbacks* Although honestly I would rather endure noodle arms forever than be faced with...THE CURSE OF BETHANY'S FINGERS
how could they let that happen
