Finished my oddly aptly timed run of Andromeda since it lined up mostly with Bi Awareness week that ended yesterday. Still, a long wait till I can play AC:Odyssey. So I will have to pick something soon. thought about Megaman X, but I'm not feeling it at the moment.

SC VI Network Test is done. It was really fun to play, and most of the connections were pretty good but it seems like it had to be set to all regions and any connection otherwise there would be a wait time. Seems like the moves for characters has been changed and simplified somewhat (in comparison to the previous games). Taki, Zasalamel (Best Super Move), and Maxi were my favorites to use during the network test Playlist of my matches in Spoiler, and link here.

I can't mod for shit. I must have done something wrong with the anti crash mod but I'm running into problems even more frequently here.
I just wanna experience Niner again at a more slow and natural pace.
Also to anyone that uses him, is he cabale of coming along on the DLCs or should I have him go entertain himself while I fuck off to play those parts?

He can come along with you, if you fire him at any point he's gone for good, so they just let him accompany you, same with a lot of the mod companions. I guess telling him to wait somewhere might work? idk. Also what is this anti crash mod? I don't think I ever ran it myself. Are you trying to use it out of fear of the game crashing a lot or because you're using a ton of mods?

Wasn't sure how it really worked with modded companions. The mod was recommended to me after I listed the mods I was using which I think I'm running six currently. Three companions, two player homes, and one skill mod. But it required outside Nexus support and Im shooting in the dark with that stuff. So I'm not sure if the problems are for that.or if because I'm using a beta for Niner.

Taking the rest of this to PM.

Finally finished Southpark: The Fractured but Whole yesterday, will free up alot of space on my PS4 for Odyssey tomorrow. Still preferred The Stick of Truth overall, this game was great in places but the story was kinda eh. Did get a good laugh from the Kanye West parody, he is promoting his new album at the mo and wew lad that dude is saying alot of dumb fuckin' shit. Jackass.

I know I've been playing tons of SWTOR but I just got this game called Star Control: Origins. It's supposed to be a precursor to the original Star Control that came out in 1990. Awesome game, as was the second one in 1992. I don't remember much about Star Control 3. Anyway, this new one came out this year. There's been a fight over between Stardock and the original creators over who owns the rights the the trilogy.
I just started playing earlier today. So far, I'm not sure it's as good as the originals, other than better graphics. I'll probably play it through but it needs to get better quick.

I've been playing South Park Fractured but whole. I don't think I'll finish it before Thursday though, but it's just a time waster anyway. though I am making progress towards getting the hard/mastermind playthrough trophy.

I think I wrecked my game. None of the save files will load! Not a single one! What did I do to deserve this???? I'm gonna go back to the mod manager for New Vegas and see if deleting some mods would help but I have hardly any so why is it doing this? It's throwing me out of the game randomly and now only keeping me on the load screens forever. I've tried loading five different save files now all with the same result. I just wanna roam the wastes with my crew

It's throwing me out of the game randomly and now only keeping me on the load screens forever. I've tried loading five different save files now all with the same result. I just wanna roam the wastes with my crew Try starting a new game and as soon as you get the chance, try loading one of the old saves that won't currently work. Sometimes it helps to let you load.
Otherwise it could just be a corrupted save that broke everything.
I've had it happen before where everything broke. You may end up needing to just start over from scratch if the above doesn't work. At this point, disabling mods that are already baked into your game (whether they have scripts or not) will probably make it worse.
Another thing you can do is locate where the save folder is and make sure it's not checked as read only. Also, if you have toooooons of saves, try deleting a few. What's the size of your most current save? Sometimes if the number is higher it means something is bloating it and will likely corrupt further.

Back and forth between SWTOR and Star Control: Origins. ME is still in the back of my mind since I have unfinished playthroughs.

Couldn't find shorter videos, but they did show off armor looks for the vikings, DLC heroes (variants not actually new armor like the base game heroes), and the armor variants for the Wu Lin. The Warlord probably got the best new look out of the vikings (have mixed feelings on the Leatherface Raider), kinda weird that the Valkyrie still has a full helmet. For the DLC heroes I like; Highlander with a viking helmet, and fancy mustache look good. Shaman looks were eh. Centurion sets with the skull mask (but those armor variant looks of his were always my favorites). Gladiator, uhm, I guess I like the lion helmet and the most armored variant (the one with a chest plate). Shinobi with the half-demon mask (old variants it was a headband that covered her eye). Aramusha still looks best in the monk and that longcoat look (the one with the mask, previous ones it was just the samurai menpo). For the Wu Lin; all the Tiandi looks are great (wish they showed how the female tiandi looked in them as well). Nuxia, the third variant of her first look and her third looks that have makeup. For Jiang Jun it'd be his second and third looks. Shaolin it'd be the Monky King look, and the beard variant of his second look.

Got some ME1 in today. Hoping I maintain the momentum because I've got two more games to complete and I haven't even banged Kaidan yet, much less save the galaxy.

Yo yo question to those who play Fallout New Vegas (yes I know I'm trash shut up) how would you rate the Willow Companion mod? I hear good things about her but I haven't really gotten more than a passing curiosity about her. She any good? Or is she just rated highly cause "hot chick"?

I finally finished my hard run of South Park (on mastermind). After getting that trophy I changed the settings back to casual and finally took down M. Freeman. So I have the platinum on that game finally! woo hoo!

I've been going through some smaller games in my library and howlongtobeat told me the Amnesia games were the shortest. So I replayed them (or in the case of the second one - finished it for the first time). They're both Lovecraftian horror games that remove the combat element and focus on the mind of the protagonist. I had the opposite experience than I did the last time I played them. The first one, A Dark Descent, is considered a classic, and it probably brought back the non-survival horror. It's a big reason "let's play"s are where they are now. But since it was so influential, many games inspired by it improved upon the formula. So I did not enjoy playing it as much as I had previously, because games like Layers of Fear executed that experience better. But the second one, A Machine for Pigs, is a different matter. It was criticised by fans for being different than the first one, less scary, and I did not finish it before. But I liked it way better this time round. Both games are set in our world, but while in the first story that did not matter much, the second one heavily leans on real world events, being set in the final hours of 1899. AMFP had the better environments, music, and atmosphere, but the story, aided by stellar voice acting, was the biggest improvement. It's very philosophical, and ramps up to an impressive ending that I rewatched a few times already. Heavy spoilers ahead! The game is about a father, a successful businessman, who on a trip to Aztec ruins discovered a magical orb. It showed him the horrors of the upcoming century, including the brutal death of his sons in WWI. He killed them right there to "spare" them this fate, and started to convert his meat processing company into a machine that turned people into pig mutants that were meant to wipe out humanity to save it from experiencing the upcoming atrocities*. The games starts with him not remembering nothing from the last year. The premise is that both him trying to fix the machine, when he didn't remember, what it did, and him trying to destroy it, is dooming humanity to being turned into pigs waiting for slaughter. By trying to stop the coming horrors he created a new one, but stopping it isn't that much kinder. The ending monologue was pretty heavy and the perfect culmination for the story. *or to create a new species that only followed base instincts and didn't want to murder. Or to scare the powers that be into stopping, what would soon happen. It's not super clear. So yeah, it certainly left an impression on me.
