I watched the first 3 episodes of the third season of Ultimate Beast Master today. I love that show! The courses and the athletes are not quite as impressive as American Ninja Warrior-but the show is still more entertaining in some ways. Like it really feels like the contestants and teams are having fun when one of their people do well and they get so crazy!

I dub this latest creation of Marvel Studios to be:
Iron Fist 2: The Contractual Obligation.
Pretty sure it had a plot sometimes. It was a pretty stock standard Netflix Marvel gang violence plot until that got tossed out cause... it was getting in the way of our not in anyway interesting villain? It just doesn't seem like this had any reason to be made other than Netflix ordered a second season.
Even the final scene "twist" had me rolling my eyes.
The Iron Fist can now channel his chi into guns and shoot magic bullets, cause those martial arts lessons weren't really paying off for the actor?  |

I only see it because it airs laaate at night and I work the graveyard shift.  It's so brilliant and lowkey gay and I think I'm turning into Deadpool 'cause I've developed this huge crush on Bea Arthur. Being a surly octogenarian who's been dead for a decade is apparently not enough to dissuade me.  ![]()  |

Golden girls was pretty bold for its time. It did a few gay-themed episodes in a time when it just really wasn't done. It was done shockingly well even. Mostly though, it was just hilarious! Though the one thing is-they did far too many clip show episodes.  |

I finally got to see Hurricane Bianca from Russia with Hate. I didn't like it as much as the first movie, but it was still amazing!

Oh, I completed the newest season of Voltron a couple days ago. I thought it was pretty good. The gay representation was non-existant as you already know. However, I was glad that I was right when I heard people say the straight couples all got a happy ending...while that is true-ish there really aren't any romance scenes in the show at all. The only real notable relationship is between lance and the princess-and honestly it's been super subtle as to the point you could ignore it 90% of the time. I'd still say Kieth and Shiro's chemistry is still winning the day for me personally. I just pray they don't do anything to discredit the ship in the last season so I can head cannon all the gay I want. I'm totally on board the Shieth ship myself. Like, even if I hadn't started watching as a direct result of the reveal that Shiro is gay, between the fanart that a mutual on Tumblr reblogged since at least season three and their first conversation in the pilot episode... Yeah, I was booked a ticket and not getting off. Since I brought up the reveal... You know, the thing about the claims that they were queerbaiting with Shiro and Adam... Everything I've been able to find on that says that it wasn't the Voltron crew so much as those higher on the behind the scenes food chain who demanded things be as they were, and even that it was do it the way that it happened or we wouldn't even have gotten that. I've had a few Tumblr rants on the subject, basically coming down on the side of "this is still marketed as a kids show, and M/M relationships haven't had the same breakthrough as the lesbian relationships, which can more easily be fetishized by straight guys" (which, gee, THERE'S something to unpack, considering we're talking, again, about shows marketed to children...). Like, when Adventure Time ended with Marceline and Bubblegum kissing, I saw a lot of "that's how you do it, Voltron" salt, and just... That was being direct about it in the final episode with a F/F couple, while Voltron made an attempt to do the same in the middle of the series, where they still had time to explore the character as a gay person, AND with a male character - in point of fact, Shiro could easily be called the LEAD character of Voltron. That they pushed for this, and it got mangled in the delivery because of executive meddling... I don't know, maybe I'm just looking for a victory in the midst of a lot of crap, but I still feel like the effort matters in this, particularly in light of the recent debacle regarding Bert and Ernie - at least the Voltron crew want it known that Shiro IS gay, that they took it directly to the fans and let them know how they went into things, even if the message was mangled. |

dgcatanisiri Yeah I think they probably did as much as they could which is pretty sad that this day and age somehow M/M romance is still considered so much worse than f/f romance. It doesn't make any damn sense. I also agree that while they did better with Adventure time, it was still mostly gay teasing till the very last episode. It was only obvious to people paying attention. I think it's time we stop being so coy about it. If a show is going to have any romance at all there should be all flavors represented. Not just straight...yeah and just f/f is getting pretty insulting to m/m audiences that are always excluded. I mean it was a great first step-but it was taken...now go further.

Red Fox so i finished watching the first and really loved it, damn how i hope ill be able to watch the real successful mars mission in my life!) it was as ive already said, mostly drama, but the finale showed the start of the mission, so id be really disappointed if it wont get renewed, real sci fi should start in season 2 also, i binged atypical two seasons on netflix, very good show, even straights are a bit cute haha but gay always wins for me killing eve and sharp objects had great acting, but nothing else worked for me. eve from killing eve was a good protag but kamillah from sharp objects was an idiot im sry, she had a rough life but i still didnt get her reasoning for sleeping with an underaged kid

So, one of Voltron devs barlee smth tweeted how shipping shiro and Keith is wrong cause they are just "brothers"? And u shouldn't expect them to be canon cause it's show for 6yos?? And this shipping g makes an average American uncomfortable?? And she even said "know your place!" Wtf
Conveniently she deleted all those tweets now but I'm just so confused.. considering she was saying it was ok to ship them just a few times ago...
Well I guess now the show is over they can shit on all their fans since they already milked them dry haha
