I'm really bad at this game and I'm not a big fan of the combat system, but the setting is super interesting and the characters are great, totally pisses me off that Nick is not romanceable, I know there is a mod but you know the fact is not official angers me still havent meet Hancock, where are you my boy Oh yeah, the lore is what really draws me in to Fallout. I'll go to bed reading the Fallout Wiki app as I fall asleep lol I played FO3, New Vegas, and FO4. I want to play the Fallout games that came before, but it's a completely different combat system to what I'm used to (and dated graphics would take some time to adjust to). I know the background stories, major characters, and summaries of the previous games. Someday (soon?) I hope to try them. It's all very fascinating. I wonder when we will ever get a new Fallout. Maybe Obsidian can make the next one? Even if it's not New Vegas 2, I would love to see what they'd do with any location.

I would be totally on board I already knew this but Fallout 4 except that lesbian couple in the beginning is not queer at all, and that straight perk... I met Hancock already, but I keep reseting the conversation, I want to know every dialogue of him lol also kinda annoying when some character doesnt like your opinion, Codsworth is a sweetheart but he doesnt like my sarcastic aptitude I think he's gonna stay in Sanctuary next time we visit it, I think my main gang is gonna be Hancock, Nick and Piper with my lovely doggo (edit. ofc this is a mod hehe)

Oh, I was watching some of those "top 10 things you probably don't know!!!" videos about Fallout on YouTube. I can't verify if any of this is true, but... Apparently New Vegas was originally intended to have full romances, but the idea was scrapped? What a shame. With Cass, in the epilogue you would get drunk and end up getting married by the King lol ---- One bit of Fallout lore I find interesting is the history and social experiments of the vaults. Vault 11 in New Vegas stands out as one of the more disturbing ones. It really exemplifies how truly evil Vault-Tec and the Enclave was :/ fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Vault_11

I like all the companions, but I haven't maxed out affinity with Cait, Strong, or Longfellow yet on any playthrough. Strong is pretty frustrating. He dislikes when you pick locks, which, if you're like me and need to pick every lock and hack every terminal, can get old fast. Luckily, I have a mod now that makes it so I only gain affection with everyone (yay, cheats)

Still havent installed it being an old game I dont know if it has expansions though, I dont mind the graphics too much, I played Clock Tower games some years ago for snes and ps1 and I loved them XD but I would be lying if I say that I wasnt dragged by the romance part and the gholie guy

Just logged into fallout 4 long enough to see if they added anything to the C. Club. Seems they are not offering any freebies or sales at the moment, and nothing new has been added. Lame!

I have returned to Fallout New Vegas. Some screenshots from the lightly-modded game (cannot get those ENB mods to work ).

I'd recommend watching Many A True Nerd's YouTube Playthrough "Fallout 3: Kill Everything". His commentary makes the videos really hilarious (very dry humor which I love). There are a lot of failed and broken quests despite Bethesda making certain characters essential to prevent that, ha. He's one's of the few YouTube Let's Plays that manages to actually be funny without being annoying. He also made the "Fallout New Vegas: No Kills" playthrough that I posted earlier, and naturally he has a "Fallout New Vegas: Kill Everything". And a number of other playthroughs of different games (and the other Fallouts including FO4). According to his own rule set for the "No Kills" challenge that not only can the player character not make kills of any kind (be it human, creature, or robot in case they're sentient), companions can't kill anything either (since he believes the player character would be an accomplice to that); he decided not to make a "Fallout 3: No Kills" playthrough since killing is required at certain points to progress the main story (clearing the Jefferson Memorial of Super Mutants is one example). Here are the "Fallout 3: Kill Everything" and "Fallout New Vegas: Kill Everything" playthroughs:
----- What are everyone's thoughts on a Fallout DLC that takes place outside the US? I watched a speculation video on this topic, and now I'm intrigued by the idea. I don't think it would work on an entire Fallout game, since in my opinion much of the Fallout charm and identity comes from 1950s Americana. A large DLC/"expansion pack" could work well to expand the scope and lore of the Fallout universe. Obviously, we have the Mothership Zeta DLC that takes place outside the US lol, but I'm very curious about the state of the rest of the world that suffered from the Great War. An easier choice for location would be Canada. After being forced into being the frontlines of the Battle of Anchorage and annexed by the US, Vault-Tec did build some vaults there too. There are some characters in FO1 and 2 who originate from there, hinting at survivors and settlements. Not much else is known about the aftermath of Canada within the lore from what I've read in the wiki (and much is referenced from the Fallout Bible and not in the games). And then there's China. With the country being the superpower that was the primary rival of the US in the Great War, it is likely they had a shadow government of the elite very similar to the US's Enclave that achieved safe harbor before the nuclear bombs dropped. They may have had their own version of vaults too with survivors, and those who didn't have shelter surviving as well. There were survivors from outside the vaults in the US (and all of them couldn't have been ghoulified I imagine if they stayed far enough from any radiation), so China likely has survivors too with their own post-apocalyptic society and history in Fallout. I believe it would be interesting to visit the opposite side of the Great War and see the remnants of their pre-Great War perspective during the Resource Wars, and how they have since survived and rebuilt. (Though, there's the risk of it all being highly offensive, but hopefully Bethesda/whoever would have the sense to hire Chinese writers to accurately represent their culture). Much of the world was ravaged by war. There was the European Commonwealth-Middle East War before the Sino-American War, leaving both the European Commonwealth and Middle East in ruins. The European Commonwealth also fell into a state of civil war. The US military had a strong presence in Mexico to control their oil and fuel refineries. The USSR doesn't dissolve in the Fallout universe, either, but China eventually becomes the primary rival in the Red Scare to the US in this timeline. Their relations with the US improved somewhat but were still tense, and they have an unknown role in the Great War. And there may have been many regions across the world untouched by the nuclear bombs like Zion Canyon in New Vegas's Honest Hearts DLC (even if radiation spread in the atmosphere at "safer" levels); I'd be curious to see those areas if they're isolated from the rest of the post-apocalyptic world, and how people are either thriving or struggling as a society, or if it's free of human presence. It's also relevant that the US government developed the Forced Evolutionary Virus (FEV) before the Great War, after seeing the potential military applications while researching ways to counteract possible Chinese biological warfare, in response to the New Plague. And it inevitably created Super Mutants, Deathclaws, and Centaurs. Outside the scope of the US/North America, the rest of the world wouldn't have them. But, they would likely have their own mutated creatures (animal or human in origin) from radiation or any other artificially/naturally created virus. Ghouls would be universal. I'm not sure how international travel would work in Fallout if there's a DLC that has the player character travel outside the US, particularly in places overseas. We see vehicles and aircrafts from pre-War tech in possession by powerful factions like the Brotherhood of Steel, Enclave, and New California Republic; so it's feasible. And of course there are boats in the Fallout universe which could travel overseas, and that would make sense. It's canon that Moriarty in FO3 was born outside the US, but IIRC it wasn't confirmed where. And there may have been others*. (There's also Raul in New Vegas who lived in Mexico City during and immediately after the Great War, and a few characters from Canada in FO1 and 2. But, that would be closer and more accessible to travel.) *This is more of an unrelated tangent in Fallout lore, so I'll put it in spoilers: Cait (who the wiki says is from a family of Irish descent) may have had ancestors who traveled to the US after the Great War, but even then I have difficulty believing her family's accent passed down since typically children of immigrants adopt the accent of their surroundings and not strictly their parents. If her family lived in the US before the Great War, I have an even harder time believing they all kept Irish accents for hundreds of years in the US, but who knows. Using myself as an example, my dad had a very thick accent from India (which I didn't hear as strongly but others did), and my accent is very American. And it's the same for pretty much everyone else I know whose parents were immigrants. It also applies to people who immigrate as children, and even adults will slightly pick up the accent of their new region if they spend a long enough time there. Linguistics is all very interesting, and how accents are styles of speaking influenced and formed through communication. They can also be mimicked with the phonetic alphabet, which is pretty cool. On topic... Maybe Cait's family was isolated in an Irish community? It is Boston, but... *shrug* Or Cait herself came from Ireland? None of it is explained. I read that Cait's voice actress was actually Scottish? I have difficulty distinguishing accents, though I also read many people saying her Irish accent sucks so I'll take their word on that. Call me an ignorant American , a lot of accents sounds similar to me but I'm trying to get better at spotting them... And there are others with foreign accents (as in to the US). The wiki says the Bobrov brothers (owners of the Dugout Inn) are of Eastern European descent. Also kind of vague. Conversely, there are characters like Aradesh (who appears in Fallout 1 and I only know of through the wiki). He is the leader of Shady Sands, and the father of Tandi who becomes the founder and first President of the New California Republic. He originates from Vault 15, one of the vaults that were social experiments by Vault-Tec/The Enclave. The experiment was to house many different people from diverse backgrounds to see how they'd interact. This background attributes to his multicultural and "foreign" sounding accent, despite being born in the remnants of the US. So, "foreign" sounding accents from people born in the US is within the realm of possibilities in the Fallout universe too. Along with new dialects/accents formed over the centuries in the future. The accent thing isn't huge in the Fallout universe, but it's fun to think about. Anyway, please correct me if any of this is inaccurate. I referenced the wiki to confirm some facts in case I remembered incorrectly, which possibly may have some errors. I may have misread or misinterpreted some facts as well. I would love to read other people's thoughts on this (or anything else Fallout, honestly). It's fun to speculate with Fallout's rich lore Edited a few times where I mixed some stuff up, oops. I also rambled a bit, so I tried to make this post a little more coherent lol. I originally didn't intend to write an essay.

Confession: I never really spent any time with Hancock! I was caught off guard with Mel, I thought that lgbtq representation was going to be zero besides the lesbian couple in the beginning of the game (this I knew already) so it was amazing XD kalasaurus You're such a big Fallout fan, I love it! haha Heh, thanks. Still, a Fallout DLC outside the US would be pretty cool IMO. that would be totally cool as long as it's not Spain, even though we have our amount of hick people I dont want another RE4 with medieval villagers with latino accent XDDD Aaaand mission accomplished! those 10 charisma points are helping me a lot. Watching a bootiful radioactive dawn with my ghoul, he doesnt know that he loves me yet Also, I've found this mod and I need opinions

I dont want to be ninjamanced Yes. F4SE works similarly to SKSE (made by the same people I think). After installing in your FO4 directory, you'd need to launch FO4 from F4SE to play. You can also launch F4SE on Nexus Mod Manager after installation, which is convenient. It's really easy not to get ninjamanced in the game. Just don't pick the flirts, and it's like the other person had no interest in you. Unless you have a dialogue overhaul mod, the flirts are conveniently a dialogue option that says "Flirt" lol. Successfully flirting also requires a moderate (orange) amount of Charisma. Once you reach the highest level of affinity with a romanceable companion, they'll usually repeat their final talk forever giving you the option to Flirt and romance them if you decide to later. Edit: and like Sir Drell said, there are speech checks labeled as Flirts as you gain higher affinity. There are 3 or 4 times the Flirts happen, though I think only the final one is required for a romance. I'm not 100% sure on that though.

I think I'm not going to have any trouble with charisma, I maxed that out because I know too well these kind of games already, my character is a witty bitch lol Is there any mod to improve the romance? animation of kisses or cuddles? I know there's no sex mods and I have to install nekkid mods
