Sounds like a pass for me, but I just remembered that I've never actually finished the main quest of FO4 despite sinking countless hours into that game, so I guess I have stuff to do anyway. Yeah, I have Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 4, for both console and PC, and I've put like a collective total of five to eight hours into all three games. Interesting world, but I've never really warmed to the gameplay of it.

I own 3 and NV, but I have the same problem with never really getting past a couple of hours in them. 4 I've started at least three times and have probably put in 40-50 hours between them, but I just tend to get sidetracked very easily despite being very thorough with quest lines in something like Skyrim.

Do you know this mod? Very important mod. I'm really excited for the new game and hope even when it is a Multiplayer game, we have still also a single player mode. :I Also I want companions to smooch. With smooch option, not just poses. Does anyone knows who sings the cover of the song? D: It's suck in my head.

(Talk of the game really starts around the 5 minute mark)
One of the big things I took away from Bethesda's conference is that this new Fallout game looks AMAZING in terms of graphics and just having a world that I want to explore. However, while I totally understand wanting to highlight their new fancy multiplayer components, I wish they had done more to talk about the single player experience other than "of course it's there, all our games have it" and "it'll be a little harder." It's also hard to imagine how the traditional Fallout RPG structure will work when some random assholes can nuke areas of the map. But hey, it's six months until the release, so I'm sure they'll show more before launch.

I fear it will just be MMO with fetch quests for ''single player experience'', without main quests, factions and companions, cuz how would companion system work in online game? Their main focus was to make exploration in Fallout world with online friends, which is fine for small spinoff but not for main game three years after Fallout 4... Gosh I hope I'm wrong. Also TES Online is not moddable... and this game will also be - like Todd said: fully online lol, so probably no modding support, or at least only from ''official'' Creation Club'' cuz you know, it's more ''safe'' and you can have that superb hat just for $5!

Also TES Online is not moddable It sorta is, but almost all of the mods are about the UI, maps, etc.

Howard just finished up an interview on YouTube Gaming and mentioned some of those things.
* He did confirm that there are no human NPCs, and that quests will be delivered through the likes of robots, terminals, and even just discovering areas in the map.
* He said that PVP is always going to be there, but it sounds like they're working on ways for players to choose their preference on how much it'll be there for them. His words were along the lines of "we want there to be at least a little human drama, but we're looking into ways to combat griefing players."
* Mods are not going to be in Fallout 76...at launch. He talked about he wants to make the vanilla experience as smooth and as balanced as possible before adding things like mods. He also talked about the possibility of mods being on seperate servers, and that he feels that's where the long-term of the game's shelf life is going to be.
* That said, he did briefly say that he viewed 76 as a "game as service" in that they plan to continually add new things for years to come. He spoke along the lines of "We always end up making too much things for these games, but with this we can actually put everything in that we want."
* He said that VATS are in the game, but it's going to be in real-time. Basically it serves the same purpose, in that if you spec enough into perception, you'll be able to aim for specific body parts in real time.

I suppose that's part of why they're doing the public beta -- so that the gaming community can pick up all the inivitable bugs and point them out so that they can be fixed by launch.
And I thought the most popular were nudes/big boob mods?

I think you're kind of overestimating the complaints of the "Fallout must be a single player RPG and NOTHING ELSE" crowd. I mean, listen to the people who are screaming excited at that conference. There is absolutely a demand for this kind of game with a Fallout aesthetic.
Also, looking at the seperate Fallout 76 subreddit, I'm seeing people already talking about setting up Minutemen style guilds to help new players against grieving assholes, or Brotherhood of Steel style guilds guarding the nukes to make sure that no wastelander gets a hold of such dangerous technology. I think if more stuff like this comes around, that's where the game will start to shine.

^ Wait you actually believe in that crowd clapping? Online yes, but only in spinoff series not the main one. I'm so fuck*ng tired of all those MMO/Online games, and now they are turning many great single player series to MMO/Online games and say this is what all of us will love and wants..

What do you mean, "believe in the crowd clapping"? Do you think they had a gun to their head or were ordered to clap? And how is this not a spin-off?

Ehh.. Let's just wait and see, but I doubt this game will be much successful, no main story and no companions (dialogue, romance etc) will kill it for many people, it will be like fetch/kill quests galore from FO4, but minus companions, dialogues etc.
And I don't think it's a spin-off, they marketing it as main full game to me..
There will be some people who will play it for sure, but ESO is still behind of how much people still play Skyrim for example. I think the same will be with FO4 and F76 where more people will still play FO4 more (thank God, as if more people will play Online games the more of them we will have)
I have nothing against MMO/Online games, but I hope they will still make more games with single player experience as much more important, online elements can be optional like in DAI or even ME3.

I don't think not having the more RPG elements will hamper the sales, it'll more likely just reach a different audience -- it might even build more of an audience because some kid who mostly plays multiplayer might give 76 a shot, like it and think "maybe I should give the other games a shot."
And of course it's being marketed, it's part of their studio and the name definitely differenciates it from the others of the franchise.
I think it's extremely obvious that they're not getting rid of single player games with this. That's why during that conference, after talking about 76, they immediately went on to talk about Starfield and Elder Scroll 6.

I hope that someday Bethesda (or Obsidian whatever) will bring back SPECIAL, Perks, Skills, Traits, Karma, and Reputation systems, I miss those elements from older games FO4 only had SPECIAL from that list, but it was not used in the game world or in dialogues like in older games, also Perks were kinda much different to those from older games and it much more reminds those from TES than Fallout series. Looks like Fallout 76 will sadly be the same as FO4 in that regards, plus no companions and online style gameplay is not for me, so I'm waiting for Fallout 5 or Obsidian's spin-off which is like 1% likely to happen
