After thinking about it a lot I think I'm gonna choose Fenris as canon romance in the gay run for DA4 I'm doing, kinda breaks my heart not choosing Anders because I love him and he's plot-relevant, but after the ultimate sacrifice damn I mean romances in DA2 are pure angst, but... Well, no need for extra angst again after my Warden's death  I love Fenris and Anders equally, but my Hawke is gonna be mage so it's fitting I guess and ofc I'm going to rivalmance the fuck out of him lol so I guess I'm an official Elf fucker now  dunno when I'm going to start it though, I'm slowly doing DAO right now and playing quests I never knew they existed it |

I find Fenris the most beautiful elf to date in the franchise, I'm not a fan of pointy ears human-looking elves though, it's not that they are not buff enough (it's true that I prefer buff tho lol) my problem is that they look too human to me, Zevran, Solas, Sera were just humans with pointy ears, boring, I really liked the elven's design in the tarot cards, they tried to do it in DA2 but it was an awful attempt in my opinion unlike the qunari, Fenris is not only handsome he has these faeish-looking features in the face and I love that! also, his voice actor played this guy, I think is fate   Oh I know what you feel, I find hard to resist Alistair (duh), Jaal and IB  but when you love two options equally it's more of a roleplay thing, also it seems warrior class is the perfect boyfriend class for my characters lol you gotta have a boyfriend with his sword ready amirite?  |

I think the only regret I have about Fenris' romance other than of course the lack of repeatable kisses that aren't tied to his romance-would be that he doesn't move in like Anders. It's odd how half the romances (not figuring bastian) move in and half don't. I see the storyline reasons for Isabella as she really isn't even commited yet at that point, because of the book storyline-however...Fenris running away from too strong of a feeling/fear of his memories coming back too fast for 3 years feels a bit harder to accept. At first sure, but 3 years? Really dude? Eh..still love and adore him though!

I know people bring up plot relevance a lot (my favorite romances are Sera, Fenris, and Zevran so clearly idgaf loool), but I feel like Fenris's romance fits the narrative VERY well - you're living in a former slave city, Fenris speaks Qunlat and has a connection to the Qunari, he's from Seheron/Tevinter so he has a tenuous connection with the overarching plot of the series... idk, I just think he fits in really well with the narrative. And he's loyal af and laughs at Hawke's terrible puns, what's not to love? Also...... werewolf wall slam and puppy eyes. Just... keep that in mind.  |

Anders and Merrill are love juggernauts who're straight-up thirsty for romance, they want to U-Haul to your house and heart ASAP. They both live in shitty parts of town so there's extra reason. Isabela craves her independence bc her last husband robbed her of it and she loves the dirty chaos of Lowtown. And Fenris is just discovering what it means to be a free man.... I think he likes having his own space, for now. But his window overlooks the Hawke estate and he says "I like the view" so he's still keeping an eye on his boo. Three years is a hella long time but hey, Hawke sees that Fenris is wearing his red favor and his family crest and all of Fenris's jealousy banter (with Zevran, Tallis, and Anders if you get with him) triggers during their separation so I guess Hawke still feels there's hope and isn't ready to give up LOL. |

OMG YES THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING!!! I loved that show when I was in high school and that's probably part of the reason I love Fenris, haha. I need to finish watching it someday! I'm really shallow and like when they look like humans with pointy ears. Buff and hairy is even better. It's why I like the Origins designs the best, haha. I guess that's one of the problems with Dragon Age 2's system...you miss out on so much because of the time skips. I still love that idea of being with the same character across a decade though and would love for that story type to be used again in another RPG. I think Dragon Age 2 did a pretty good job of integrating everyone into the main story and giving them relevance...Sebastian being the exception. ( Ugh...why DLC and straight?!  )
I remember especially liking Merrill because my first Warden was a Dalish and I loved having her as a companion with their clan's story being expanded. So in a way I felt like my Warden was always with us.  |

Andrew MancerI don't really like that three years skipped time when Hawke with Fenris because I feel they both so lonely, but I love that time if Hawke with Anders: these times filled by many good stories in my head. But if I timing the Mark of the Assassin to this three years between the Act2 and Act3, this is a good adventure even with Fenris, and I imagine many good conversations between them. For example: so this three years has many possibilities, sadly, with Fenris this rather bittersweet, because probably Hawke feels, he still loves him, but can't imagine why he left...
