Iokath was definitely... luke warm, and the Umbara flashpoint coming that is the 'story' content for 5.4 is kinda lame. You can't fit much content into a flashpoint and the game is sorely in need of bringing back the lost companions already. (Because honestly, who gave a damn about Skadge coming back except those wanting to kill him.) They seriously lost out on bringing Lord Scourge back earlier considering everything that went on in the story. At this point in game it has been almost 7 years since you went missing, what on earth could the companions be up to that they've not heard of your return in the almost two year time span of KOTFE-KOTET. Though considering how lackluster Quinn and Dorne's return was in Iokath, I can't say we're missing out on much. It is a shame we never had the options to at least flirt with returning companions, though like Kaliyo, it's probably less disappointing if you can't flirt with them, than to be able to flirt and have it go nowhere. I know I have a male Warrior that will forever pine for Quinn. I'm just not looking forward to going back to Empire v's Republic. After decisions made on Iokath I don't know how they could go forward with it, unless they make what happened on Iokath, matter elsewhere. I doubt any characters that turned traitor toward their original faction would want to go back to fighting for them, I know my Sith certainly wouldn't want to return to the Empire. :/ If after the Umbara flashpoint we don't get much story stuff, I might let my sub drop after playing for a solid year - raids and pvp hold no interest to me, and there's only so many times I can replay the same class quest.

I completely agree. It has been seven years, so Scourge, Nadia, Ashara, Kira... and other Force-relevant companions are really missed out on story-wise. Skadge was brought back solely to kill. Dorne and Quinn were pathetically brought back in. *heavy sigh* I hope the Umbara flashpoint is fun and isn't a big grind for the SH, but, after Manaan, I am hella skeptical on Bioware's ability at this point to do anything right. I wish Ebon Hawk's Republic side wasn't dead, or I'd leave the Empire fully. Sure, story-wise my Main is a Jedi but he still is a Sith marauder. RP STORY FOR THE WIN!

Yeah it was a missed opportunity, hell, it was a missed opportunity when I had Lord Scourge with me during the entirety of Shadow of Revan and Ziost and he didn't say a word. Serious missed opportunity for him, and Kira to a lesser extent. I think I'm still mostly annoyed that some classes have all, or nearly all their companions back, and there's my Consular with just one, and my Knight with just two (not that getting Rusk back was something major, I mean... it's Rusk.) As for Umbara, I can't say that what little they've said about the Stronghold from it excites me. Either the entire stronghold is just this moving train, or the train is part of a larger stronghold (I'm leaning toward the former) Apparently it will take ten runs in solo, 5 (or 7? don't remember) in Veteran, and three or so Master runs to be able to have enough currency to afford the key. So ehhh... I want a new stronghold but I don't know whether this train will work. When I think of trains I just imagine long boxes. A shame, though Republic side anywhere seems deader than compared to the Imperial side, I knows planets/fleet always seems far busier on my Imperial characters - though most of the time I see people rping out in the open, they're erping some gnarly stuff. I still remember when my Warrior got propositioned by this apprentice looking for... well, you can probably guess. What made me laugh is the guy thought he could get some hardcore kinky, bad apprentice and evil master stuff going on with a character that was wearing the Pure title. I had to explain he already had a thing going with Theron. XD

XD I still need a few companion achievements, but they're on ones that haven't returned with KotFE and such. :/ After DvL event and playing since Beta, I do NOT want to replay any storylines just to kill 1000 enemies with X companion. My boredom would kick in so fast. Right now, I am focusing on RP storylines and trying to divert from the pisspoor writing of KotFE and KotET. Would it kill them to bring back some Flirts? Some class story, even something small like in Shadow of Revan? Ugh, I'm dying here. Okay, if Umbara ends up a moving train i will be so confused. Was there even a train in the Clone Wars Umbara arc? From what I recall, the train episode with Asajj Ventress' with Boba Fett was not on Umbara. It was some other world deep underground. A moving train better not be the whole SH. That's dumb. I have 8394747 decos that will not fit on a train. Lol ugh, I'm so annoyed by all this.

Yeah I have a load of companions I haven't gotten the 1000 kills with and meh, I hate having to feed them all lots of gifts to make them somewhat useful so I just end up sticking with a favourite. I think some companions I have, only have kills just because I had to use them at some point for KOTFE. Likely doesn't help I usually end up sticking with a companion who approves of what I do, as seeing 'blahblah disapproves' all the time is tedious (even if you don't lose influence now which is good.) But I don't blame you for focusing on RP, I wish they had brought back some flirts for returning companions, but only Kaliyo got some and they don't go anywhere anyway, so I wonder why they even bothered. I have no idea, they've been very tight lipped on it all, I guess we'll see in a few weeks, I just really hope it doesn't end up being disappointing, both in story and the new stronghold. Iokath was rather meh, especially when it came to Quinn and Dorne's return. My Warrior's had sweet reunions with him but that was only right at the end and very short. I miss the proper companion returns like they had done with Torian, and Aric, etc. If Felix, Lord Scourge, Jaesa, or my other favourites return and all I get is a two second conversation (or worse, those old school silent dialogue) it's gonna suck. I just think it was dumb of them to take away all the companions, not bring them back quickly, but then let people hire nearly all of them. I hate how clogged my companion list is now, I won't use the majority of them so they're just there, making it a chore to find the one I want to use (unless it's Arcann, he's easy to find at the top XD)

So poll for those of you that have played a lot of it, if you could rank the class stories what would you rank them from best to worst? I seen a lot say imperial agent as best one in some sites. Haven't tried that one myself yet but I did create a character for it so soon.

Jedi Knight LS Sith Inquisitor LS and DS Jedi Consular LS Sith Warrior LS Imperial Agent LS and DS Bounter Hunter LS and DS Republic Trooper LS Smuggler dead last.
As you can see from my list, I am majorly LS and prefer Force users. I get so insanely bored by noon Force users. I struggle with their gameplay and stories, so I fail to connect with those characters.

From the stories I played Agent Knight and Warrior (I enjoy them about the same, they are very....Star Warsy ) Smuggler (A lot of fun, especially in the first act with weaker 2nd and 3rd ) Trooper...love Jen Hale, but trooper's writing was bit too "yes sir" for me (or alternatively too jerk) Inquisitor and BH - never finished these, got to about halfway through act 2 on both and they were both pretty nice. Consular - Never got past Coruscant for some reason /shrug

I know you spoiler'd it but maybe you should have put MEGA SPOILER FOR THE MOST RECENT CONTENT because I clicked thinking I'd seen everything already and I didn't know... Saying that though... I kinda expected them to do this to him and I'm just as pissed off as you are. Theron was perfect and now BW done fucked him up. There had better be a good redemption story to go along with it or else.... ah, who am I kidding? I'm unsubbing anyway.
Edit: How do you know this? Is it from datamining?

and considering hes pretty much the only unkillable main mlm companion is saying a lot .... I don't get how anyone can be the traitor though. Our only enemies at this point are either the Republic or Empire and the Machine Gods. Whoever the traitor is couldn't have known whether we'd pick Pub or Imp on Iokath and I have to believe that their allegiance was set before the choice instead of "I'm going to team up with whomever the commander doesn't choose because...reasons" and who would be loyal to a bunch of machine gods except another machine?
I thought for a while that it would be either Lana or Theron based on your choice. Both were ultimately loyal to their original faction and your choice to go to war against them tipped them over the edge but Theron being loyal to the Empire if you picked Republic makes no sense if he is always a traitor no matter which side you pick.
Blagh... I don't like it.

Okay that's a total mess, like good job Bioware, piss off part of your remaining fanbase. I seriously can't understand why he'd betray us, especially if you have a light sided Outlander. This is beyond Quinn level of betrayals. And whilst I don't feel sorry for any darksiders who scared Koth off, it doesn't bode well that the last remaining m/m romance option is the betrayer.
Like way to fuck over what little was left of his personality.

I only play light side though I find playing a light Imperial character more fun than a Republic one, just because you're breaking the 'norm.'

re: Iokath Traitor. those are datamined dialogues if you want to check them out. this kind of proves that no redemption ark will be given. good job, biowur. good job. This is what he says to the player character for LS and DS: (if Dark side) “But the Eternal Throne brought out the worst in you. Now you’re a power-hungry tyrant. A symbol of everything that’s rotten in the galaxy.” (if Light Side) “But the Alliance outgrew you. Now it’s rotting from the inside, the galaxy’s fighting back, and you’ve become a symbol of oppression. So much for your dreams of peace.”
“Luring you into that trap on Iokath was just the beginning. Ever since you defeated Valkorion, everything I’ve done has been towards one goal…” “If we don’t take drastic measures, war will keep spreading, killing entire civilizations and any hope for peace. But if I start a controlled burn, I’ll ignite an inferno that’ll destroy you and your Eternal Alliance. One spark is all it takes to end the cycle of warfare.”
If romanced: You: “Did you ever love me, or was that all part of the act?" Theron: "You know I love you… but this is bigger than us.”

If romanced: You: “Did you ever love me, or was that all part of the act?" Theron: "You know I love you… but this is bigger than us.” I'm still so damn upset by this. Not just because it's so stupid but because it ruins what little was left of their character. I guess they don't want m/m to have any satisfying romances. Koth is practically non existent even with a light sided Commander, because Bioware mutes and gives bare content to anyone who might be dead, and now Theron.
The fact he's going to side with the opposite faction you chose (in my case the Empire) makes NO sense whatsoever. Like yes, choose the Empire over someone who is trying their damn best to please everyone and bring peace, because the Empire totally won't turn on you.
I hate this so much, Theron was my favourite romance and now I might as well just delete my Inquisitor because he won't get a happy ending now.
