In the Pale Moonlight is my favourite DS9 episode. DS9 is easily the best series. Voyager is a close second but the champion stands. Are we the same person?? This is exactly my thoughts. DS9 is bestest, VOY close second. "In The Pale Moonlight" is kind of the best ST episode ever? Gosh. My favorite line: "Real kali-fal should forcibly open the sinuses." I always think of this line when I drink a sazarac.

Is there a gruelling physical and stuff? Probes? Apparently my medbay got all these kind of medical equipment. Now I just need to figure out what there all for.

It speaks to my geekiness that I can recognise the show and episode from a tiny image doesn't it.

My favorite episode is hard to pin down, but off the top of my head "Statistical Probabilities" comes to mind. I really enjoy the characters Jack, Patrick, Lauren, and Sarina. I like the follow up episode too, but the first is the best one probably.

Good choice Lee.
The follow up episode is where Weyoun is on the station and there's that weird cellular entertainment system thing? I liked that one too.

I want to say that actor shows up in a lot of star trek stuff beyond that role, but I"m sleepy so I won't look up to see if I'm right. Also the war story arc is probably the strongest continuing saga in Star Trek history, so yeah it's my favorite too. I was really pleased with almost everything about the ending-though I disliked how they focused on Ben's wife and ignored Jake so much in that last good bye from sisko. I took it more personal then I should I guess, but I was kind of meh on a lot of the Cassidy episodes, and the father son relationship with Jake and Ben always felt like a major theme in the show-that got dropped last minute.

I have a caterpillar plush named Weyoun. Yes, that actor is in like... everything with Star Trek. He even played another alien in DS9. The creepy one that wanted Kira's holoimage to like... touch her in places? He was also the main Andorian in Enterprise and probably a dozen more roles across the board. I agree about how suddenly Cassidy became more important because the Prophets blessed the Rising Son and totally forgot about Jake, as if he wasn't important because he is just a writer. I loved Jake's outfits throughout the seasons.

I'm on ep 12 now. All of the ones that take place off the station are so uninteresting to me. Also, I have to wait until season 2 to see Garak again! (Maker, I have such a "type" when it comes to characters. He's like a David Gaider character in space.) [edit] I also wanna say that Gul Dukat is the best looking alien, like, ever.

So then. Favourite characters? Story arcs? Episodes? I love DS9! "The Visitor" goes down as one of my favorite series' episodes of all time, and I still can't watch it without crying I have an even harder time rewatching it now after my dad passed away in 2013, but I can say I strongly relate to Jake's lifelong obsession in searching for Sisko. It was a truly touching and fantastically written episode.

I'm in season six now and ran across a scene that was a bit disappointing because it could have been done better. It wasn't entirely bad as it was, just could have been better.
There is an episode where O'Brien is undercover investigating the Orion Syndicate. The guy he's working for gets him a prostitute. O'Brien, being married, refuses. The guy is surprised at the refusal and exclaims, "Don't tell me you don't like girls." In response, O'Brien covers by saying that he has a girlfriend and the scene moves on.
I think it would have been so great if the guy instead said something like, "If you don't like girls I can make other arrangements," to make it seem like it's no big deal, because it really shouldn't be in the 24th century.
However, I will add that, to O'Brien's credit, he didn't act badly at the suggestion that he was into guys, but was just stunned at the whole situation and tried to come up with an excuse that would get him out of it.

Star Trek has never been great with LGBT representation. Something I'm hoping Discovery will fix. Deep Space 9 is the only series I remember addressing it in any detail with the episode Rejoined.

Yeah. With this I was just struck by how different it would play out with a different line, because I thought it instantly as I watched the scene.
