I'm always wondering if it's been long enough since my last viewing of DS9 to start again. -addicted to it-

I finally finished watching the series. Binged the last five episodes in a row.
I was prepared for the Odo thing, since I did recall that one thing from when I watched the finale many, many years ago, but I didn't remember everything else.
I'm not pleased with what ultimately happened with Sisko, even if it DID seem appropriate for the story. I just like my characters to have a "happily ever after" ending. Having to leave a pregnant Kassidy sucked royally.
The other major thing I really did NOT like was that Terry Farrell's run as Dax was completely ignored in their flashback/memory clips that they showed for various characters. It was like she didn't even exist for six seasons of the show. That really pissed me off, especially as far as Worf's memories were concerned. That was a shitty thing for the creators to do and really soured the ending of the show for me.
Aside from all that, I did enjoy how they wrapped up everyone's stories and that no other major character died. I was quite concerned they were going to kill off Garak there for a minute, since dying for Cardassia would have been fitting for him.
Overall, the war was done VERY well. I think it worked in this particular series because DS9 itself was a space station and the home base for all of our people, which is not something that all of the other Treks have had. With those other series, I do prefer the anthology style of a different adventure every week.
I'm not sure what I'll be watching next. Maybe Voyager, since I never have seen most of that beyond the first season. Sadly, most of the characters never gelled for me, as they did with TOS, TNG, and DS9, so I lost interest.

I really didn't like the last season of DS9. All that stupid evil wormhole aliens, the new Dax being like a reward for Julian (oh you were creepy to Jadzia , here is a new Dax that loves you as a reward for your patience), Sisko's ending and as you say, them forgetting all about Worf & Jadzia in the flashback bits. I'd recommend Voyager. I struggle to decide whether it or DS9 is my favourite. DS9 is more consistently good BUT Voyager has some of Star Treks best individual episodes and Janeway, Torres & 7 of 9 are IMO some of Star Treks best written characters, with Major Kira being the best due her fantastic character arc and personal growth. As with all Trek, the first season is ropy and it takes a while for it to grow it's beard but I'm on a rewatch right now and am enjoying it much than I did my TNG or OST rewatch.
