Is his stubble unlocked in the CC? I feel like all stubble and beard options were so shit in the CC. I don't understand why Bioware likes to keep the good hairstyles to the NPCs and limit our customisation. Like Scott Ryder's stubble or Morrigan's hairstyle.

The thing that pains me about Cullen is that... Dear GOD do I connect with his story, with his emotional arc. Like, obviously I'm no former templar, and I haven't suffered addiction, but the PTSD and the self worth... God, that's ME. That is watching my story play out on screen, seeing someone questioning themselves and their ability to be the person they want to be.
And it HURTS that I can't romance him properly (even if I weren't stuck on console, the fact that there'd be the misgendering if I played with a mod), because the message I get out of that is that if I want to find love, if I want someone to love me for who I am, baggage and all... It literally can't be with someone I would be attracted to. That it does not exist for me as a man who is romantically attracted to other men.

Cullen would be my favorite romance if he was an option. It's such a sweet romance. It's a shame they seem to be hell-bent against us having that kind of relationship in BioWare games.

The only reason I want to play Dragon Age Inquisition again is to do the gay romance for Cullen. I still remember the wonderful feelings I had the first time going through it. It is a very high quality romance that I wish I could have been able to genuinely experience through a gay perspective without mods.
I am still afraid to trust BioWare with gay romances. I wouldn't be surprised if we miss out on a high quality romance with a KISA yet again in the next game.
Alistair and Cullen would easily be my favorite romances in the franchise if we hadn't been denied them.

I am goddamn bloody SICK of having to justify my existence in media, having to prove why I deserve to see myself - not as a subject of queer angst, but as a person who experiences almost literally anything else in my life while happening to be attracted to the same sex - in that media. The gay character suffering because they're gay and life is hard story has worn thin.
I don't ever want to hear of a character getting a same-sex romance path cut again. Cut the straight romances for once. Not like they need any more, they already have plenty to choose from.
