So, to me, this actually looks fun Yeah Im curious to watch it, I don't care much for the character having an origin story but movie looks fun to watch and expand star wars lore which Im all in for. Ill just think it's Chewie's origins story. |

Wow, this thread is so tame compared to the one on BSN. Not a complaint so much as a curiosity.
FYI, I did watch Solo. It was decent. I don't know that I needed to see certain referenced things from the OT because I think they can never live up to expectations. Which, tbh, was true here. My imagination about Han's greatness and massive ego filled in any blanks I had.

When more peeps see last jedi let us discuss. All in spoiler tags of course. I shall start. MASSIVE SPOILERS So Luke died, that was crazy. I was expecting Leia to go. My heart strings got tugged when Yoda showed up, man got some strong Empire Strikes Back vibes. Rey is going to be a monster. Kylo pretty well made up his mind but killing Snoke was awesome. That light speed jump into the main ship had the whole audience silet, sooo crazy. I gotta let it digest but damn that movie was AWESOME. Wish I could have liked this movie. Really enjoyed TFA. I was sad that the Finn/Poe bromance didn't make it into this movie. Also, hated Luke. Bitter old man. But, whatever, it's done. I don't want to turn this into BSN's SW thread. |

I liked it at first but as the honeymoon ended I realized it had a lot of problems. I'm watching 9 cause it's star wars but I hope they give the series a rest after. |

I watched it four times in the cinema and considered many of the alleged problems. Some of them were real but most were vastly overblown by whiny fanboys. None of them stopped me loving it. |

I wasn’t a fan of JJ’s work on TFA, while I did enjoy TLJ a lot, but I must say this looks very darn good and original compared to the last two. Nothing here made me say “oh they are repeating this now”. Everything felt fresh and new.
But also that new Poe Dameron look just oof so hot.

I can see how fixed white dude protagonist is disappointing, but it's modelled on, mo-capped and voiced by the guy who plays the Joker in Gotham, which is kind of cool. I wonder how on-rails the story is going to be...
