Bioware's new IP Anthem, formerly titled Project Dylan, now has a teaser trailer and some gameplay footage. Release is so far expected for next year sometime after March 31. My own full thoughts later, so far just one plea: Developers, we've all been online before, stop pretending that anyone believes people talk like this. I damn well know if I get sorted into a game with three randos, one will insult my mom, the other will spend his time eating dinner on open mic, and the third will be complaining about shit loot for 20 minutes straight. On the other hand, if I'm playing with friends, we'll just be talking about like, dirty catsquid fanfic and where to get burgers next Saturday.

Looks pretty, but unless I see something that is a solid storyline, cast of characters (and ideally including romances) that I can enjoy on true single player (none of the "always connected even in SP" BS), I'll pass.
If the gameplay ends up looking exceptionally fun, I'll wait until it drops to like $20 and buy it for me and the hubby to play occasionally, since he's dying for more games to co-op with me. He likes the MP/social gaming way more than I do, but I'll occasionally indulge local co-op for some action titles.
All in all, not enthused yet and won't bother getting hyped until I learn enough to see if it's worth getting hyped about at all.

As promised Seriously though, I have no interest in co-op multiplayer. So if it is indeed that, than good for them, I predict another Bioware game I won't be buying Here's hoping DA4 won't arrive in 2020

Yeah, this is going to be my first hard pass from Bioware since Sonic Chronicles. Oh well.

"This is playable" for a scene with only 2-3 online players and 1 small village that will not kill ram memory of the console.
Always wait for retail, ME:A (even if it was made by Montréal) is one game that teached us why.

First Bioware game ever (and I mean EVER) that hasn't even made me crack so much as a smile in the teeny corner of my mouth.
This may change if it has a decent SP campaign, but I won't believe it does until after release.
I am jaded.
Speaking of jaded, why on earth did they not spend this time making Jade Empire 2 honestly?

Yeah, this is going to be my first hard pass from Bioware since Sonic Chronicles. Oh well. Same. Copy of Destiny combined with Titanfall. I thought BioWare is better than that. I didn't expect anything from this title, but I am a bit disappointed that BioWare decided to create yet another online shooter instead of an RPG.

I was honestly surprised by how interesting I found it. The game navigation & transition from walking, to flight to underwater was amazing.
Did you notice that only when the player left the city did you see the second player? I'm wondering if the city is instanced and this is where the story & interaction with NPCs happens on your own and then you group up when you leave. It also seems like it can be played solo.
It is a weird game for BioWare to be making but I'm intrigued and I'm far more interested in it that I am in any other online shooter like it.

Attack on Titanfall: Fallout Destiny is very pretty, but it's really not grabbing me like a BioWare game usually does. Very early days, I know, but if it's solely/mostly focused on co-op and MP, then I won't be interested. Even ME3 MP never reeled me in. I hear Overwatch is fantastic, but I'm just too much of a solo gamer. Will have to see how it goes, I guess.

A decent SP will get me interested. I already will be playing Destiny 2 with a few friends, and I don't think any of us are wiling to give Anthem a solid chance. There's not much trust with Bioware anymore after ME:A. I want this game to succeed though.

There is already a few hints from devs on twitter and in the E3 interview that you can play some sort of solo/Single player, but i need more information. If its a Bioware game with a proper story, dialogue system, choices, but it also has co-op? Then i am sold. So i am neutral leaning on positive at the moment. Will follow the dev cycle closely. Also adding one concept art piece that i found very Interesting, looks great. Tech Mage! Magitek!

For the sake of Bioware I want this game to succeed. It has potential if the story is there. The combat looks like destiny which I am totally fine with. Flying around was pretty cool.

This thing killed Mass Effect. I won't forget. Even if it's going to have awesome singleplayer mode just like regular Biowar RPGs (it won't).

Super pessimistic prediction: Anthem is a huge success: Biowar keeps making/supporting Destiny clones. No RPGs. DA4 gets cancelled (GTAV dlc was cancelled due to GTA online success) Anthem fails: Biowar is fucked. No RPGs. DA4 gets cancelled.
