Not necessarily. EA got quite burned by mistiming release of Titanfall 2 (if anyone still remembers its existence), so it could easily be them learning from that and trying to get Anthem a better shot. Not saying it definitely is that, but I wouldn't immediately go "You're lying!" either. Ah I still play Titanfall 2. It's the best FPS game I've ever played. Yeah, now it makes a total sense that they move Anthem to the next year. Two big shooter games are coming out in October this year. One of them is Dice's Battlefield 5. The other is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, made by Treyarch this time, so it's probably going to be more popular than the two previous ones. Red Dead Redemption 2, highly anticipated game from Rockstar, is coming out later this year as well. So, it's very crowded in the shooter space.

Lol. Honestly, if it is in as much trouble as various sources seem to think it is, EA probably should push it back to 2020. A mediocre game from BW at this point would be disastrous, and while I have no investment in this particular game, I'd rather BW stick around amongst the living. Red Fox At this point I have zero expectation for Anthem. For a while I was willing to give it a chance but I'm not even going to bother now. I'll have plenty of games to play next year.

I'm probably not buying it simply because I don't want to play a co-op. Again though, they really weren't aiming at Bioware's core fans with this game. They needed another game in their portfolio. The fact that they screwed over said fans to make it just makes it likely to fail though. If they don't have fan support they're not likely to gain a ton of traction in the wider gaming audience, especially with a game that's not even a little unique. None of it makes much sense to me. If this was a single player game, I'd be all over it. I don't necessarily want to see it fail though, because I think that would kill the studio. If they pull the plug on BW over this game and we never get DA4 I think I'll lose it.

Ha, see BW/EA? You should have stick with Mass Effect, but make some actual efforts... I'm sure if MEA would have given another 5 months to finish it and then a year of support more BW members would still be around (and the game itself would have been amazing for sure, but nooo Anthem was more important, and for what??).. So much wasted opportunities

To be fair, Drew leaving mid project is normal and might actually give it good luck considering how mass effect 2 and 3 turned out rather well in the end when he left them It's just ridiculous how they are making everyone there work on this, even Old Republic team

In seriousness though, Im so pissed at Destiny 2 right now I kinda want Anthem to beat it, but at the same time, Anthem has ruined so much ugh.

Bioware doesn't have to do much to make this better than D2.

Nothing all that new but its a bit of variation from the other teaser. There seems to be a solid black ranger-type javelin there.
