...
This is doing NOTHING to dispel my belief that EA basically paid off reviewers to let them smear Andromeda to hell and back if they'd go easy on Anthem... Particularly the Polygon quote...

Yep, the betting favors December, though that was down to a cryptic Mark Darrah tweet that could have meant something else altogether.

Looks like they're going to get into how story works in Anthem soon. www.ea.com/en-gb/games/anthem/news/anthem-pax-west-2018-panel-informationThe world of Anthem™ is big, dangerous, and full of Freelancers ready to take on anything its most vicious inhabitants have to throw at them. But through all the battles, there’s one thing that shouldn’t be lost: you, and your individual story. The Anthem team is ready to tell you just how these different stories will work together at their PAX West 2018 panel. Introducing Our World, My Story. “In the dynamic [and co-op focused] open world, everything is experienced in real-time by all Anthem players – day/night, weather, and world-scale events that shape the ongoing narrative of the setting. This is ‘our world,’ which we share as a player community,” BioWare General Manager Casey Hudson wrote in a recent studio update. “Then when you return to Fort Tarsis, that’s actually a single-player experience, and it’s where you spend time developing relationships, making choices, and seeing consequences. That’s the ‘my story’ part.” But that’s just the beginning, and the people creating this vast world are ready to pull back the curtain and answer your questions at PAX West 2018: “Even with that description, I know there are many more questions about how it will work. To really go deep on this subject, we’ll be doing a panel at PAX where we’ll talk about ‘our world, my story’ and other big questions you’ve had about Anthem.” The following panelists will be there to give you all the details: Host: Nick Tarabay Mark Darrah, Executive Producer Mike Gamble, Lead Producer Sabine Rosgren, Level Designer Cathleen Rootsaert, Lead Writer Victor Krengel, Creative Director Check out the panel on Saturday, September 1 at 1:30 p.m. PT. You can watch live from home on the PAX West Twitch channel, or head to the Main Theatre at Benaroya Hall to get in on the action in person (PAX West badge required). Can't make it to the panel? Ask Mark (or Mike!) Almost Anything About Anthem! Tweet with the hashtag #AMAAAA and join @biomarkdarrah and @gamblemike on Twitter September 1 to see if your question is answered. Pre-order now and get VIP access to pre-launch demos.* Keep your eyes open for more as we’re ramping up to Anthem’s release. Make sure to not miss any of it by signing up for the Anthem newsletter for all the latest Anthem news, updates, behind-the-scenes content, offers, and more (including other EA news, products, events, and promotions) by email.

Yes, I'm looking forward to that.
Will be good to move into the 'proper marketing' window after all the months of teasing...

It was also stated during the livestream I guess, that the whole " character reactivity in a central hub" thing they have going for Anthem is going to also be featured in a future Dragon Age game.
And I know not everyone is on board for Anthem, but if the graphics are anything to go by on how the next DA will look, it's going to be really fun and sexy.

I think it's a given DA4 will look better than DAI. They have experience now with the engine, and they don't have to downgrade the game for 10 year old consoles like DAI did. A lot of devs skipped 2 gen releases, because it was too much of a compromise.

I just meant since we're not seeing any DA right now, ( ) at least with Anthem we have an idea of where the quality will be at after all these years have passed since DAI. It was sad to see how much they had to cut from DAI because of the older consoles.

Here's the full panel recording. The teased future implication for Dragon Age and Mass Effect is also interesting.
Also a new pic of someone, he's hot. Arcanist 'Matthias' (EDIT: spelling now confirmed)

It's weird that after watching those previews I'm actually more excited for DA4? I mean those updated graphics looks really great, and DA4 will use even more latest version of this engine, as it will come after Anthem. I just hope that gameplay will be more like in The Trespasser DLC than in vanilla DAI...
