This is the only suit without a jetpack so I'm assuming its powered by the Anthem equivalent of magic or biotics. I'm sure it will look that awesome in game, too. >.>

So is there science stating that the inverted ankle (or whatever that is) is more efficient, or something, or is this just something they did to make the suits stand out a bit more from other games with mech suits?

Well remember that runner they called the Bladerunner? Who tried to kill his girlfriend or whatever but yeah. Evidently they do make you run faster?

Also animals with legs like that (most) are actually running on their toes. I think. So that makes it so they can go faster??
Aren't elephants the only other knee'd animals? They don't seem fast xD

I'm sure we'll see a downgrade but since Frostbite is such a well optimised engine, and this game is more in line with what the engine was intended for I wonder if it'll be a severe downgrade. I hope not because it did look beautiful.

I recall reading our knee placement is very poor and causes a lot of knee and hip problems people have. If it was reversed it would be more spring like. So yea the reverse ankle and knee is better from what I recall.

sourceOkay 1) hilarious that they're considering ME a "hard sci fi" setting, even without the MEA lore fuck ups. 2) "we don’t worry too much about why they’re happening or how they’re happening" is kind of Bioware's mantra now.

I want to hate this game just because it's pulled resources away from ME & DA development. I'm immature like that. The fact that it's aimed more at the MP crowd and isn't considered a RP game just cements my lack of interest. If it appears to have a good single player campaign mode I might end up picking it up, but not until it's discounted heavily. Won't follow Anthem's development either, beyond the 2 fan forums I'm at. :

This is so depressing. I am not against a Bioware MMO but it seems like they are just ignoring their strengths and what their fanbase likes to chase dudebro multi-player money. Seriously??? Bioware started out making table top, pen and paper rpgs and this is what its death will be? "we don’t worry too much about why they’re happening or how they’re happening." basically saying WE JUST WANT THAT SWEET DESTINY MONEY. Well Destiny isn't perfect but does a lot right. Story wasn't great but they had fun maps, constantly flowing, and exciting mobs/quests/events on maps. Something essential for a good MMO and lets just say that Andromeda did not relieve any fears that Bioware can do that with Anthem. People will buy this expecting a Bioware game. They are so foolish to think Bioware fans will be satisfied by "lore??? lol what is that? It is pretty okay?? Just look how pretty!" when what people expect from them is story, lore, and character interactions.

Every day I flip-flop about whether I am excited, nervous, or angry about Anthem. That can't be good. Well, I suppose it is what Bioware wants. They want us to care, to be vocal, to go to Twitter, ask them questions, etc. I want the game to succeed because I am a Destiny player, and I actually haven't played as many Bioware games are most of you (just ME:A, KOTOR and SWTOR, DA:I, and maybe something else I'm forgetting). I do enjoy Bioware's ability to tell stories, and Star Wars is definitely my top bitch. I prefer fantasy-science because it makes sense to my stupid mayo brain while the science of black holes make me drool in a brain-bleed sort of way.

I'm a petty bitch so I will post my Anthem devtweets prediction there too.
Can't wait for: - "of course we won't have rare gear being possible to acquire via microtransactions" or, in truth, of course not via direct mt, but with lootboxes, but we haven't lied to you, right?
- "of course you can completely customize your javelin for free" with those 3 free colours, if you want more lootboxes are your thing.
- "of course we will have a great story" in form of one codex snippet and 3 overheard phrases from NPCs.
- "of course we will have things connected to your character customization" in terms of picking will you have female hands or male hands, you seriously hoped for more?
- "of course the game will be a destiny killer" inb4 2/10 metacritic.
Stay tuned for more!

I have to wonder...how do the legs on Javelins work, seeing they have different structure than human legs but they seemed pretty snug when they were entering it during e3 vid

Everything will just be 'don't think about it'. So essentially a "Wizard did it"? More context here. "It’s very much like Star Wars, very much like the Marvel universe where you see a lot of amazing things happening but we don’t worry too much about why they’re happening or how they’re happening, the science of it." Star Wars and Marvel have deep lore and explain alot of the things that go on in them. This just feels like a 'fuck you' from BioWare. Have you forgotten who your fans are? We like rpgs with detailed lore and explanations for things, a well thought out world. If BioWare doesn't care about what's happening in the game, why should i? Anthem is off to a bad start already.

I have to wonder...how do the legs on Javelins work, seeing they have different structure than human legs but they seemed pretty snug when they were entering it during e3 vid From E3 video, ALL javelins have knee system like it. But if you look close enough, you can see by their structure that there is enough place for human legs in okay position and lower part probably serves as a tool to move faster/jump easier. Plus actual knees are always bent a bit. In other words, it can be something like this... But there's a problem - their legs are too long overall for them to actually fully be legs (which is why I can assume that they use a system similar to some mechas where some parts of suit are overextended and don't actually have user's body in them), but if their legs end where second part of knees starts they have a really long torso which looks really strange. Buuut ME:A had long torso/short legs problem too, so probably their designers live in a basement and barely saw humans.

Vallerie same thing on those, btw. But red javelin ain't making sense at all tbh, even like this, because it's design is utterly stupid - you won't be comfortable in it, noes, it's just plain stupid. Everything will hurt after 5 minutes in only position in which you'll be able to fit into something like this - cosplayers who use big suits like this know how hard it can be and they don't need to run around and shoot in their suits.

Okaaaay, the graphic looks nice, but I don't like multiplayer games at all. And probably, there are no rpg elements, no companions, no dialogue choices and no romance options... I'm not into open world shooters. It may be a good game, but it's not my cup of tea. Too bad... Aren't there already enough mmo games out there?
