I'm not the target audience but the fact he added they/them as pronouns and binder option is really considered and inclusive. Now I just need to know who is the werewolfie and a release date

From the latest kickstarter update: The game is almost ready! Hate to burst anyone's bubble, but I think he's talking about the new demo being almost ready, not the whole game.

So the new demo came out, and it is really improved over the first one. Pretty much everything is redrawn, there are small animations here and there, you get to choose your body type and hair options.
The basic idea of the story from the demo is the same, but a lot of details have changed, including much of the ending. Also, Kunal has a much better driving motivation behind his choices.
All in all, it's an improvement.

There's a new update and in it the initial werewolf design. Seems like a bit of a spoiler, even if I think it was obvious, but I'm using the spoiler tag anyway

The fact ACO is nominated is a joke and insult...

I just got an email from "an assistant to communicate" on this project, stating that Marccus has decided to completely scrap the progress he's made to switch to a totally new engine (that will give him more flexibility, but will also change the specs and look of the game). He's issuing refunds to everyone starting at the $200 level and then working (alphabetically) down to the $12 level. I'll copy the text in a spoiler below so you can read for yourself. But it seems like we should kiss goodbye any chance of seeing this game in the next few years. Definitely disappointing. Hello, I am writing to you today on behalf of Marccus, who has hired me on as an assistant to communicate with the backers of his Kickstarter project Eldet, as he implements a significant change regarding the project, which is as follows: Due to frustrations regarding the current constraints imposed by the game engine he has been using, Marccus has decided to restart the project in a new engine, which he feels will allow him to execute his vision for the game without compromise. However, this decision would change the game in terms of appearance, gameplay, and the hardware necessary to run the game, as well as delay its development significantly more than it has already been delayed, and so, he has decided to issue full refunds to all backers of the kickstarter project. Although he has used up all of the funding of the initial campaign to work on the game for the past three years, he felt that it would be unfair to leave his supporters on the hook for his decision to change course on the game’s development, and will be issuing the refunds with money taken from his current source of income. As such, his plan in issuing refunds is as follows: Starting in August, Marccus will be issuing mass refunds once a month, every month, over the course of the next year. He wishes to express that he would prefer to have all refunds given out sooner, but while he issues these refunds, he still has his own rent, bills, and other living expenses to pay for, which limits the amount he is able to pay back each month. Refunds will be given out in alphabetical order, starting with the highest pledge tiers ($200 or more), down to the lowest pledge tier ($12 or more). If your credit or debit card or other payment source has changed since the initial campaign, kickstarter has the following information to offer: help.kickstarter.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005139253-What-if-my-backer-s-card-has-expired-As the above article mentions, if repayment via card is not an option, I will send an additional message on behalf of Marccus to find a way to get your money back to you. He has an account with paypal, and is willing to sign up for additional money sending services if paypal is not an option for you. Last, he wishes to express that he realizes he was unprepared for the amount of time and work would be necessary to finish this project within the constraints of a kickstarter campaign, which by its nature adds heightened expectations and additional stress on top of the effort of making all parts of a game by himself. A record of all original backers of the project is still kept on kickstarter even after backers are issued refunds, and as thanks for believing in the project in the first place, he will be using that information to send activation codes for the game when it is finally finished. Eldet is a project he has devoted so much time, and after being refunded for your initial support, he wishes to share it with you when that time comes, free of charge. I will be available every Saturday and every Wednesday to answer any additional questions you might have, please feel free to send them my way. You may send them here through kickstarter, or to my email at: rileyn.r.94@gmail.com Marccus asks that you please direct comments and questions to me, as this was a difficult decision for him to make, and it takes an emotional toll on him to deal with individual situations on a case by case basis, as this project means so much to him. Thank you for your time, as I mentioned before, please respond with any additional questions. To reiterate, refunds will begin to be issued next month, August 2019. Marccus still intends to post the development update for the work he has done during July, but further updates will take the form of updates on the progress of issuing refunds.

Yeah, sorry to everyone I've made back this/excited about it You didn’t make anyone do anything my friend. It would be silly for anyone to blame you for this. At least it gives us something to look forward to in the future. Distant future, but here’s to optimism, right?

Distant future, but here’s to optimism, right? I know, it just feels like such a minefield to recommend any LGBT game. "Looks great, but it will come out in x years maybe," "oh the base game is great, but the dlc/choices force you into a straight relationship," "oh the content turned out to be like 3 minutes of vague allusions." It's kinda depressing that you can't really recommend anything right now without an asterisk... (Anywho - hi friendo!)

It's kinda depressing that you can't really recommend anything right now without an asterisk... (Anywho - hi friendo!) So much truth. I was so pumped about Fire Emblem Three Houses (which is a very good game despite what I'm about to say) and the fact that one of the "gay options" was a Knight in shinning armor guy who's super hot...but then come release that guy is straight, married, and if you lock into a relationship with him you marry some random girl in your ending slides...Great gay romance that is. Sigh...Japanese games are just not ready to be gay friendly I guess. Not that it excuses that fuckery. Edit: Oh, and back on topic...I had a feeling this game was not coming out-and yet another delay makes me feel even more sure of it sadly.

Soooo... if anyone is still curious, where this is, I recently took a look at the kickstarter, and there are some sporadic recent updates. The game will now be 3 games, the first one being called "Spirits of the North," which is chronologically at the end of the original game.
And it's not a RenPy visual novel anymore. It's a 3D Unreal engine RPG... that has a BG3 camera, but with a more Witcher 3 graphics. I'm not even sure drawn art for characters will be a thing.
So yeah, the scope is so insane, I'm not sure this will ever be finished.

If a bit disappointing, I was hoping to see more of the Rnarcus art, perhaps they are going coral island route where it is 3d but perhaps the art has pop up dialogue. I guess time will tell but that sounds hella ambitious and yeah I have my doubts it will be finished. Specially since he decided to work on it now apart from backers or was that reverted? Confusing what I saw on the comments. I mean I totally understand that is all on his free time, no pressure at all on that, just feels like he is complicating himself more if that's the case.
