Maybe the sprites will be used like that, hard to say since he hasn't posted any art since the engine shift.
He refunded people on kickstarter, so I guess he can do whatever now. He was also doing another game on patreon, but that's also in limbo. At least I think so, I quit since he moved the coloured drawings from the $5 to the $10/month tier. Like I still love his art, but that's too much for me, especially since he posted so few pictures of guys without abs in the last 3 years.
