An island paradise has been discovered by colonial forces from several distinct nations from fictional lands, but with magic and monsters. You play as a neutral, able to ally yourself with either the nature-loving natives, or any of the nations seeking to exploit the island’s resources. In Greedfall the protagonist comes from a continent devastated by the wars and by a disease that is decimating to the population. She/He is the niece/nephew of a prince who rules in a merchant city and send him to an island almost unknown and isolated from the rest of the world since it is rumored that there may be the cure for the disease. In the game you, alongside other settlers, mercenaries and treasure hunters, explore a remote island where the locals, who are fighting off invading settlers, are protected by supernatural beings. GreedFall is about combat, but it's also about diplomacy, deception and stealth. Your actions, from seemingly trivial choices to the most important political decisions, will influence and affect its course as well as the relationship between the different factions established on the island. Same sex romances confirmed!!!!!!!!!!!! linkFor those who hate open worlds - Religious faction is composed by mages that think the disease the people are running from is a manifestation of their God's wrath. They call their magic "The magic of light" - Scientists want to cure the disease with medicine through resources they find in the island. - Neutral factions: Sailors and mercenaries - Natives have special magic related to nature - Every companion have different abilities - Two companions at the same time like Technomancer or ME - Companions can get mad at you and even betray you - Your character can choose abilities in the skill tree from the other factions, except natives linkLet's speak about this game guize!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! edit. original poll results

Ok sooooo we will have five companions, if they follow Technomancer trend I dont think that game is going to be equal in options and if they all are romanceable, maybe 3 options for straight/bi people and 2 options for gay/bi people. In the worst scenario, 2 options for straight people and 1 option for gay people (1 gay and 1 lesbian) .... I DONT FUCKING KNOW I JUST EXCITED THEY RESPONDED LOL ALSO GIMME KOCOUM NATIVE AMERICAN WARRIOR BOYFRIEND Well lets look at the wording they used. "If you're close enough to some of them you will be able to have a romance with them." I'm thinking that one of the five companions is not romanceable and the other four are. So one m/f, one f/m, one m/m and one f/f. That would be ideal, maybe. Also yes I'll take that boyfriend please, yes without the shirt.

Ofc there is a danger of not liking the only romanceable companion that every demographic would have but it would be great as equal treatment. Being only five companions I think we can expect fair content for everybody! At least is what I want to think lol Kocoum is perfect PERFECT PER-FECT

I want all the options to be bi personally. I hate having to settle for a character just cause he's the only option I have.

I would be happy with either approach, the 'one for everyone', or the 'all bi'. As long as the bi men don't have the 'but not too bi' trope. I mean i would like to see the men in the group flirting with each other and the women flirting with each other.

-Shutters- I dislike when the love interests flirt with each other. Eh, we'll just wait and see I guess. though if there's only one m/m option and females have only one f/f option but straight have 2 options...you'll see why I wanted bi pretty quckily.

Let's not forget guys that Spiders is not a big company like Bioware, I think the romance content will be minimum like in Technomancer (I only saw the straight romances). That is not a problem for me as long as I can take my boyfriend with me in every mission though! There're a lot of character development when the character is a companion, I dont think we have to worry about Gil/Suvi situation with Greedfall.
ofc I'm too excited and I only can think good things lol

I know t_t I said the same thing in my comment after reading you guys, yes, I think the only good possibilities are: A- 1 m/m romance, 1 f/f romance, 1 f/m romance, 1 m/f romance with 1 unromanceable companion. B- 4 bi companions and 1 unromanceable companion. Maybe 1 colonist and 1 native american for each demographic if they are all bisexual.

I guess I'm just blown away that they said what they said, so i can't imagine they'll say more, probably because I've gotten used to being stonewalled by BioWare for months, or getting passive agressive nonsense from Gamble. I missed actually communicating with devs, last time i did that was with the the State of Decay devs, they were chatty on their forum. And i guess the Warframe devs are chatty as well.

Oh thank fuck, it's not an open world game. I'm really getting tired of open world games. I don't have the gaming stamina for them all. No open world, interesting premise, male & female protag & s/s romances? I'm sold. I'm hoping they make all their romances bi, not because I necessarily prefer it but because Spiders a small dev, so everyone being bi means that no one will get shafted when it comes to romance content. Also I need to romance a warrior woman and if making everyone bi is how I get to romance her then I will take it.

This is the first I've heard about this game, so I don't know anything about it.
I'm a bit confused with this wording in relation to some of the posts + art posted in this thread (asking for a Native American boyfriend, etc).
Is this a new fantasy land, or is it supposed to be our own world, but just with magic and monsters added in?

If there are four romance options out of the five companions, I'd definitely love for all to be bi. Even if m/m and f/f only have one option though, I have high hopes that they will be quality. The three romance options in Technomancer were all pretty great as companions and I loved them all! I definitely don't expect to see a Gil/Suvi scenario coming from them. None of the companions in Technomancer (which had more than five) felt underdeveloped/unimportant. The romances, while short, were quality and effective. I'm definitely excited to learn more about this game and see some companions! Then we can properly judge/guess the romance options! ...I just want a ruggedly handsome blonde colonist, KISA type or not. Best case scenario would be native male/female and colonist male/female, all bisexual. If we only get one m/m option though, I'd love for him to be gay and not bi...or at least a preference for men.
