I would be fine with this set up. I'm usually down with the queer warrior who isn't Fenris/Bull sort of edgy, but scientists are always going to trump that for me. Take me to bed and whisper your dirty thoughts on heliocentrism in my ear. Also I agree 1000%  On appearance alone, I never considered Fenris to be a POC, just a bit more swarthy than your average elf. Bioware skin-tone debates made me learn the word "swarthy". At least they're useful for something  Also, Fenris? Seems similar to the McCree situation to be honest. I actually want the religious faction guy/girl etc be attracted to the same sex (that actually states their attraction clearly, looks at suvi) bc we need more of those types; thought I finally got that with Joseph from dream daddy but no. They really messed up with that one. I love Joseph, but he really deserved better. I totally agree. It would be wonderful to have them be open about their attraction to the same sex.I can't believe that BioWare still hasn't gotten this right after so many years of featuring same-sex romance... at least with the males anyway. They seem to have no problem allowing the females to be open about it. Well, I wouldn't say no problem, just less of a problem. Just look at Suvi as the Doctor mentions above, who is the only character not to mention orientation both in her rejection and otherwise. i get wanting diversity and things of the like but boy... some people, especially on Tumblr go all lynch mob on other people like "mccree has to be not white." I mean I like that idea of mixed/poc mccree and I support it but until there's canonical proof, it's not wrong to also assume he could just be tanned/darker skinned, (I have a friend who is Chinese but his skin is like darker than some Malays), and going around attacking peaople regarding their views and calling them racist based on that alone... or like there's currently drama about Robert small as well; I can see it but considering Val is pretty darker skinned compared to Robert, it could just be Val being mixed. McCree? Huh. The problem with games is that - well, there are a few problems. There are no real actors (most of the time) to use as references. Things like lighting can make a huge difference to how a characters looks from shot to shot, and of course the artstyle makes a huge difference, especially cartoony ones like Overwatch. I mean, I don't care what McCree is in that sense, but to claim he has to be non-white is pretty silly considering white people can have skin that dark and that he gets a lot of sun .gif) |

I am sure it'll be a pretty obvious thing. Like in Technomancer one of your companions will leave the team if you side with the most evil group in the game-and the companions bitched at me over and over that she wouldn't like it...I didn't listen and I felt bad about it. I reloaded and picked other options though later on it worked out cause I got all the faction trophies that way.  Let me guess, you sided with the Vory? XD There were three trophies I never got, dating the two girls and siding with them. XD But understandable, if you go full colonist and murder your way through the natives I could understand the native companion turning on you, and similar for other factions if you murder your way through their ranks. I just hope that what causes them to betray you is big/obvious, and not something small, especially if you have no clue it might annoy them so much. |

If my guy is straight...well, mods will save the day! Can you do mods with these Spider games? That would help me buy the game, honestly. I love modding and tinkering. I think I may have spent more hours modding Skyrim and DAI than actually playing the games. I have found no mods for Technomancer. Your cause is noble, but your character is one of the colonists. In fact what are we native supporters meant to do in the end? Leave as well? Hrm, it's hard to be certain since we don't yet know the context within the story yet. Using irl examples though, some of the worst parts of colonialism isn't so much the individuals, it's the industry and profit that arises from stripping resources, land, and culture away from the native populations. So an ideal ending might be that the colony you are a part of recognizes the existing native populations as people of equal standing. That you will not expand unilaterally, but invite the native inhabitants to found townships with your people, and synthesize the native culture/traditions into these townships? Or something along those lines.... Woah Ark, better be careful with that talk of peace. If you bring that anywhere near THAT thread you're in trouble. Anyway i totally agree, peaceful intergration please. I feel like we play our games similarly.  |

Seriously I'm loving the communication with the devs of this game more info about the religious mages Not sure if I will like that magic of light, my mages are elemental-based mages and that sounds like... blessings and healing stuff, sooo natives's magic is the closest thing to that (at the moment)... I dont care if these mages are faithful to their god as long as I can use their powers without truly believe in their god, if that makes sense lol Do we have any idea of what the combat and gameplay is going to be like? with the things I've read something like Technomancer, skill tree and all that. I hope they show some gameplay soon but I doubt it tbh |

Do we have any idea of what the combat and gameplay is going to be like? I imagine like Technomancer with some improvements, and you have a story mode this time round, for those that struggled with Technomancer or just want to experience the narrative more than anything else. |

For fun and because I'm bored lol if religious are the mages of this game (besides natives) I wonder about the other factions and what kind of abilities they will have if we compare them with DA or even Technomancer. Religious = Mage-type Mercenaries = Warrior-type? Sailors = Rogue-type? Scientists = this I dont know, maybe some cyberpunk tech powers? Merchants?????? have no idea lol dino that happens sometimes, but I'm not having that problem now! |
