OK, time to make this Jaal thing happen! I did a NG+ for Scott Ryder: - Woke up from stasis and the first thing they did was give me coffee while an asari doctor gave me the once over. Caffeine always made me jumpy but Dad wanted the Pathfinder team up and ready within the hour. Sara wasn't up yet. A trembling of the Hyperion sent her cryo pod careening toward me until the gravity cut out. Then we were all floating. Finally, Dad's second-in-command, Cora Harper, hit the reset and we all found ourselves on the floor. - It wasn't so bad until I saw that Sara's pod was damaged. The doctor, Lexi T'Perro, said Sara would be fine but needed to be placed in a low-level coma so that she could slowly be reawakened. Well, shit. That's not the start to Andromeda I wanted to have. - Headed up to meet Dad but there was a short in the next room. I used my scanner to find the problem and fix it. This was going to be handy having a scanner linked to an AI that could figure out more than my poor human brain ever could. - On the bridge, we saw that we had hit some kind of energy cloud. It obscured our view of either the Nexus or Habitat 7, the Golden World that was meant to serve as "New Earth". Dad wanted to find out immediately and it looked like we had no other choice. The Hyperion wasn't capable of going very far on its own and it had no defenses. We needed to get down there. Sara was going to be pissed that I beat her to the ground because she was stuck in a coma but no choice. I'd just have to make sure she got some good stories out of it. [Edit: Lee: Can you move this to the "What did you do today in ME?" thread where this belongs? I accidentally posted here.]

Scott Ryder:
- Grabbed my gear from my locker and headed to the shuttle. Some of the team had heard a rumor that Dad and Captain Dunn were at odds and that I had sided with Dunn. All true but I wasn't feeding those rumors. Instead, I said all was well. Dad had already cost Sara and I our careers once. That wasn't going to happen again. - On the shuttle ride down to Habitat 7, we passed through what had to be that same "Scourge", the energy cloud that had thrown the Hyperion for a loop and led to Sara's pod being damaged. There were floating mountains and evidence of advanced alien technology. The atmosphere was also toxic. It wasn't the Golden World we'd been promised. Certainly wasn't looking like a home for humanity. Dunn was right to hold us back from heading right there. - Something knocked my shuttle right out of the sky. I landed okay, with Liam Kosta at my side, but none of the rest of the Pathfinder team in sight. Still, Dad said we were to stick to protocol should we encounter aliens: we don't make the first aggressive move. I hoped that would work out for us. (Then the game crashed.)

Scott:
- Liam and I went looking for the rest of the squad. Lots of our equipment was scattered on the ground, generally useless. Fortunately, we'd kept our weapons on our persons. Still, just walking around wasn't all that safe. There were paths, but rocks would occasionally float above them, covered in electricity. It didn't look like the energy we'd seen in space but I don't think any of us would be surprised to find a link. - Eventually, we came upon the crashed shuttle with Fisher outside of it on the ground. There were aliens around him wielding weapons. When humanity had first encountered another alien species, it had been turians, and they had attacked because we were in violation of galactic laws we didn't even know existed. Same could be true here. I told Liam we needed to expose ourselves but be prepared to fight. The aliens opened fire on us. I guess there was no way for them to be prepared for my biotic charge and the two of us made short work of them. I wasn't going to call it ignorance, either, since the massive tower we'd seen was shooting some kind of gas into the sky. If they had the technology to alter worlds...then again, they hadn't changed it for the better, so maybe it's no surprise that they were the enemy. - Fisher had a broken leg and we had no medical supplies to help him. He said Greer and Kirkland had went off to find the other shuttle. Now that Fisher was safe - whatever that even meant on this planet - we needed to gather the rest of the team so we could figure out what that tower was doing, who had built it, if we could make peace with the aliens and how to get back to the Hyperion and, hopefully, to the Nexus. [Crash! It's my graphics card. Not sure what's up with it.]

So...I decided to return to my Faith/Owen ME1 run, at least for the time being. Got back to some detailed posts about it on BSN, along with one or two pics. Since I'm using console commands to gender swap my pics will appropriately show Owen or Faith where appropriate. Owen, the Hero of Elysium, just took down the batarians trying to destroy Terra Nova. He brought Wrex and Garrus with him. (Since they're from Mindoir, RP is that Faith - the Butcher of Torfan - does not like aliens and so refused to work with Wrex, Garrus and Tali.) When I resume, it'll be Faith on Therum with Ash and Kaidan. ME2 will sort this all out and I'll RP why the one remaining Shepard is working with Cerberus.
Speaking of ME2, I'm downloading it right now. Supposedly it'll be complete in about an hour, at least the base game. I also did order the 2TB "military grade" external hard drive so that I can have all my games downloaded and swap out things between hard drives as needed. Turns out I can have three ME games on this laptop at a time, so it's ME1, ME2 and MEA for now. That will allow me to maybe go back to MEA after ME1 is complete. I'm already missing Scott, so...

Tried something new with Tali's recruitment mission, told Kal'Reegar to stand down, he ignored me and I didn't pick the paragon interrupt to stop him. AND HE SURVIVED ANYWAY! WAT??? For the longest time I believed you had to pick both to make sure he'd survive. Learning new stuff all the time. Currently doing loyalty missions, let Garrus kill Sidonis, told him he was a good boy. Garrus n' renegade Shep get on so well. I still have to recruit Thane and Samara, also gotta meet up with Liara on Illium but I'm gonna put off meeting her for a bit. At least until I get some more of my team's daddy issues and other problems sorted.

Today I entered the Voeld vault with Cora and Jaal, the cold froze my nuts off and I kept falling and losing health, I collapsed and had to be carried out, the vault uncompleted. On the plus side Jaal accidentally touched my butt when he dragged me to my feet.

I play for the stories, which is why I love RPG's. Probably also why I read such massive amounts of mShenko fanfic.

Excruciatingly bad. how do u combat. where's my lizard wife lower the difficulty some if you can, also as soon as possible max out lift and throw-and the adept profile should be your main concern if you want to have an easier time. It really is super overpowered. Though if that fails you can also try using energy drain (or overload) and incinerate with either engineer or sentinel profile if you want to use some adept stuff too. Those 2 combo really well together and take care of shield/armor/health. It's great coverage.

Dear Owen: Today, I went on my first official mission as a Spectre. I tracked down an asari Prothean archaeologist, Dr. Liara T'Soni. The Prothean part could come in handy, but really I was after her because he mother - Matriarch Benezia - is running with Saren. Encountered a lot of geth along the way and had to fight a krogan battlemaster. If you recall, those guys are biotics and are among the toughest krogan out there. I'm writing to you so you know we won. T'Soni seemed to think that something was destroying all the major civilizations every 50,000 years. Sounds like my Reapers theory isn't so crazy after all. Enough out of me. What have they got you doing? Love, Faith. P.S. T'Soni is also easy on the eyes.
Dear Faith: Wow, sounds like you've had some interesting adventures. But, hey, try not to sleep with your entire crew. You already told me about Alenko and Williams. Your Spectre status might protect you but anything you do could be used against them - just like Williams's grandfather surrendering to the turians is still being used against her. Anyway, I was given my own command but it's not a strictly Alliance ship. I've got all the aliens you didn't want: Garrus Vakarian, Urdnot Wrex and Tali'Zorah nar Rayya. They're actually a great squad. So far, we took down some asari slavers, and you know how I feel about that. We've also discovered a plot to lure Alliance marines into thresher maw nests, but I don't know who's behind it yet. No love interests on my ship, but can you believe that my pilot is a survivor of Mindoir? Name's Lani Reed. Don't think I ever knew her but I'm always happy to find someone else from home alive and kicking. Love, Owen.
Dear Owen: A couple things happened when I got back to the Citadel. You're not going to like all of it. Some admiral, Mikhaelovich, accosted me the second I left the ship. He tried to force me into giving him a tour of the ship to prove it met with his standards. I lost my cool with him, pulled Spectre rank and told him to go to Hell. I know he can't exactly touch me right now but I suppose he could make trouble down the line.
Right after that, an Alliance lieutenant - C-Sec, I think - told me there was a survivor of Mindoir who needed my help. (Yes, brother, I'm glad you've got one of us with you.) She's been a slave to the batarians for the last 13 years before being freed. Total basket case but one who managed to grab a gun, which she was really using just to keep people away from her. I talked her down, gave her a sedative so she could get the help she needed...I even threw in a hug. So, yeah, I'm glad to hear you took out a slaver, even if it's not batarians. Between the two of us, I bet we'll wipe the galaxy clear of those types of people.
Glad I was able to help her because not 10 minutes later some reporter interviewed me but was really trying to call me an alien sympathizer and a traitor. She really doesn't know me well if she thinks that. If you can believe it, I maintained a professional attitude throughout the interview but I gave her almost no information. I really did want to punch her - you know my temper - but kept my cool. Lucky for her. And what you said about how my actions could affect my crew is true. I'll try to keep that in mind, brother. Love, Faith

Yesterday I beat the first game of the Triologie. Ashley died, Wrex is my bro, the council is dead and Saren killed himself. It's the first time that I Import my ME1 save to ME2 (because ME2 was my first game and ME1 the last mass effect i got XD) and I never thought I would do this with the male Shep because his german voice actor is so boring. But I love Jerry so muuuuuch.

I'm actually on the easiest difficulty already loool but I chose a rogue-ish class yet I'm running around with a machine gun so?? I think I just don't know anything about proper builds LOL. I do enjoy stabbing people with my omniblade tho.

Sounds a lot like what I'm doing right now if you add biotic powers on top (except on Hardcore) Just power through it, sneaky melee builds are fun! Take the Asari sword, get the recloak on melee kill... You can also get Shield Drain to restore shields (or if you prefer biotics, there is the Vanguard shield restore on melee hit + you can get shield restore on biotic kills from Barrier passive), get Shield Oscillator for chest piece to restore shields on kill... Explore a bit before abandoning it for the cruise mode (though once you get to levels maybe 20+? 30+? everything becomes cruise mode). bad news bears i'm really bad at this game. So bad. I'm doing something like this...though you can't replicate it unless you use mods, there is a certain...lack of SP Warp you see. Oh and watch out for Anointed (don't get caught out of Cloak and out of cover when they are on field...they hurt), anything big when playing around with melee because they often have sync kills (often easily avoided, but still), what else... Try to pick them off from sides, preferably those who are in cover facing the rest of their friends, Cloak is the best positioning tool IMHO, even better than Charge.
