Wow, you've restarted Mass Effect 1 a lot it seems. I hope this run goes smoothly for you. Had to. Nathan Shepard apparently wasn't saved in the Origin cloud and the computer he was on is dead. In any case, Faith and Owen Shepard were an idea I'd had sometime back with twins going on different missions (so one plays the public hero while the other does the more behind the scenes missions) but only one survives into ME2. Ah, it's generally sad to see a pc pass. I hope you didn't lose anything important beyond gaming saves.

Faith:
Headed to the Citadel Towers to meet with the Council. Saw to turians from C-Sec arguing over Saren. Was was investigating him but the other said to call it off. Don't think the cop understood that Spectres have virtually unlimited authority. It's like in the old days asking a beat cop to investigate a CIA operative in another country. It's just not going to happen.
The meeting with the Council was unproductive. They ignored the evidence, even with Saren being specifically named by the dockworker. The worst was Sparatus who had a clear grudge against humanity. No way I was going to trust turians.

Space, mostly, since the hard drive on the laptop I'm using is significantly smaller than the old one. I tend to have my bookmarks on browsers be available by signing in. Also, most writing I do uses Google docs. It's just more annoying than anything else. Think I have to buy an external drive, install things on my laptop and then move them to the other drive - back and forth as necessary. Downloading these games whenever I want to play them just isn't feasible.

Yeah, downloading games can take a long time now. The file sizes grow every year it seems.

Faith:
Stopped by Chora's Den to chat with disgraced human C-Sec cop, Harkin. Saw a krogan arguing with some of the club's guards but I sure didn't want loose cannon's like that on my team. Also didn't want the turian but he might have useful information on Saren and this Harkin could lead me to the turian. He sends us to a med clinic where we find a Dr. Michel being attacked by thugs while the turian, Garrus Vakarian, uses my entrance to take one of them out. Firefight ensues and Dr. Michel says she treated a quarian who had some information on the geth, who seem to be working for Saren. One more alien I have to track down.
First, I had to talk to some thug called the Fist, who might know where to look. He owned Chora's Den and the place was closed when I get there. There were a lot of hired guns and we fought our way to Fist. He told me how to find the quarian but I couldn't let his behavior slide. Took him out.
I caught up to the quarian only to find some sleazy turian and some salarians were trying to get her data. She refused and they attacked. We helped her out and she agreed to turn over a voice recording of both Saren and another woman discussing the attack on Eden Prime.
On the way back to the Citadel Tower, encountered the husband of member of Williams's old unit that had all died on Eden Prime. The Alliance was hanging onto her body, not allowing him the opportunity to grieve. I got it back. Liberal threats helped things along.
Then we headed back to the Council. The acknowledged Saren was behind the attack but the other voice belonged to the asari Matriarch Benezia, one of the older and more respected members of their race. In either case, we had to go after Saren in the Terminus Systems, but the Council thought it would start a war. They also didn't believe the Reapers from my visions were involved. What they did do is make me a Spectre so I could chase down Saren myself.

Today, I installed MEA. Or, it's still installing, but enough is there for me to play. Scott's story:
Woke up in a brand new galaxy. They gave me coffee. Good start, at least until the power went and we all found ourselves floating in zero-g. Bad news was that power distortion ended up damaging Sara's cryo pod and they were going to have to slowly wake her. No, scratch that. Induced coma until she was "ready". Did not like the idea of anything bad happening to my twin sister.
Still, we had an hour to prepare to visit Habit 7, which was slated to be the new home for humanity. (Other planets were chosen for other races.) The human ark, Hyperion, was in the hands of my father, Alec Ryder, former Alliance marine and N7. He passed some of that training on to Sara and me until...well, no need to get into that now. One hour to prepare for Habit 7 but a look out the window was not promising. Some strange dark energy was stretched out across space. It was that energy that messed with Hyperion's power.
Still, we got in shuttle to head to the surface of Habitat 7, hoping for the best. Along with us were Cora Harper, Dad's second-in-command, Liam Kosta, David Fisher, Andrew Greer and Dusty Kirkland. Sara should have been here. We were split into two shuttles but things got worse. The atmosphere was filled with some powerful lightning and rocks were floating in the air. One bolt of lightning tore the shuttle in half that was carrying me, Liam and Kirkland. Liam and I managed to use our jumpjets to land relatively safely and together. It was going to take time to find Kirkland and the people on the other shuttle. SAM - an AI that could keep us all linked - was out of commission so we were going to have to search the hard way. [There's more, but time for work.]

Yay, glad to see you playing Andromeda again DMC. Looking forward to seeing who you romance. (guessing reyes) (edit: saw in the other thread you might romance Jaal-totally excited to see your opinion about it if it goes that way)

I'm starting to feel like I do want a continuation, though. I don't know how to be vocal enough to make it happen. I mean, when even people like themikefest want to see a DIRECT continuation of MEA, and he's not one I'd ordinarily have thought would want it, it makes me think there's hope. I guess, to BW/EA, I'd want to present it more in terms of "you really could make up for your mistakes by providing a top notch DLC. if it were good, people would buy it, making a sequel that much more possible and profitable."

A proper dlc could make a huge difference, and I'm shocked they won't even consider trying it.

OK, so today I stole the Tempest right out from under "my face is TIRED, not-Pathfinder-until-you've-pathfound" (which I had to do in order to be able to do my job). Yay for shady turians who have my back! Went to Eos, got the first site running, fought some kett, found the Nomad, activated two monoliths...shoved Peebee off my chest because she really had no reason to remain there after preventing me from possibly killing myself.

Activated that third monolith after a prolonged battle with the kett alongside a semi-friendly krogan named Drack. That led to something else. Peebee met us there and we investigated what we were calling a vault. There was some kind of gravity well and the only way down was to jump. Yeah, it could have killed me but we weren't getting any answers standing around the rim. Lots of Remnant were inside. We also believed there was an atmospheric processor that might one day restore Eos. Fighting through, found that processor and turned it on. We got immediate results and a deadly red cloud that was eating away at everything in its path. We managed to stay ahead of it and get the hell out of that place!
The surface brought a big surprise. The effects of the processor were immediate. The atmosphere was clean, or at least tolerable. It meant we could more than just survive on Eos, but maybe even thrive. I set up the first outpost. Had to choose a directive for it, military or scientific. SAM warned me that it would set the tone for the AI from here on out. Things my father did screwed me over in the Alliance military because they used his actions against me. Didn't want that kind of mindset here. I also want to be progressive, give us a new start, Scientific outpost it was.
August Bradley soon arrived with Addison. He would be the first mayor here. Addison wanted to be my friend all of a sudden and I called her on her bullshit. I let her know I didn't trust her anymore than any of the other administrators who wanted to lord their power over others. If she'd had her way, we'd still be stuck on the Nexus having our inventory counted. Nothing more than a bean counter with delusions of grandeur.
[Then DirectX, of all things, crashed. Don't know if I lost any gameplay but have to get ready for work. I will say I'm enjoying replaying this game. Perhaps some time away from both it and the constant barrage of criticisms has been useful.]

Havarl. Spent a lot of time there. Only have 20% viability but really close to activating the vault there. (Like, I'm in it, but haven't done the task.) All it required was killing a lot of "rebel" angara, making one of them remember his past life and helping in a lot of big and small ways. Still on track to romance Jaal but I admit it's difficult not to flirt with Gil.

Got Havarl up to maybe 80% so that was good. Then took a trip to Voeld. Not my favorite vacation spot. Did some odd jobs for the Resistance there but the big thing was rescuing the Moshae. We discovered the true horror of the kett. They're not just stealing the angara to turn into slaves. They're not just killing those who get in their way. Instead, they're converting those they capture into more kett. There were thousands of angara in pods on Voeld and no possible way to save them all. The Moshae - revered by her people - said the place needed to be destroyed. Jaal argued that we could come back to do that and free his people. The Moshae said those pods could easily be filled again.
I thought back to some rumors I'd heard in the Milky Way, about those creepy Collectors that were probably stealing human colonies. Word was that they had once been the Protheans and had been transformed by the Reapers into these slave things that served willingly. Could we risk that? Did anyone deserve that fate? I decided the Moshae had it right. Thousands would die but at least they'd die free and we'd make sure no others would suffer this fate, at least not on Voeld.
We returned the Moshae to Aya and the gratitude we received was tremendous. We got free access to the city. I did have to remind Vetra that we were there to build alliances so not to push too hard on the deals, at least not yet.

Lots of little things for lots of people. Also, played poker against Gil. I won, by using SAM to cheat, but I confessed to it. Gil said he'd thought I was cheating and liked me more for it. He wants to be able to beat me while cheating to prove his greatness.
Spending a lot of time roaming around the newly opened areas of Eos. The original colonists had tried so hard to succeed and it seemed I was going to have to finish all the tasks they had started. On the surface, it could seem like a waste of time, but the reality is that they traveled over 600 years and countless light years for a new start in a new galaxy. The least I could do to honor their sacrifice is complete their missions.

I've done lots and lots. I finished up ME1, saving the Council being my biggest Paragon choice in a majority renegade run. Romanced Liara for the 800th time, I can quit anytime I want, I swear. talked Saren into killing himself, didn't pick a choice for Ambassador just to see what happens. Come ME2, I had to pick someone, so I just went with Udina. Shame what they did to him in ME3, came outta nowhere. So, began my ME2 run on Saturday Leah imported well and right now I'm on Haestrom recruiting Tali. Kaidan hurt muh feels earlier btw, interesting hearing what Jacob had to say when Kaidan sassed me. Never brought Jacob on that mission before. I played this game sooooo many times and I'm still hearing new stuff. Recruiting members who I would have left for a later mission earlier is fun to RP too. Renegade Shepard's lines are still goddamn hilarious and I'll never get tired of her putdowns. Damn I adore ME2, looking forward to the Suicide Mission and LoTSB especially, this game has some of my all time favourite gaming moments. Happy to replay em over and over again.

"Sloane, what gives, I though we were friends! " "I'm glad we cleared up that misunderstanding." "Shots later?" I can't help it, I love Sloane. (Crashing parties on Kadara) Other than that...Hardcore is starting to get easy, Vanguard - Shockwave, Warp, Tactical Cloak, Asari Sword, Sidewinder (x2, because ammo), around level 40. Maybe I should bump it up to Insanity.
