Faith and Owen:
Dear Owen: Should've punched out that bitch reporter. You definitely got the better reporter to deal with. Mine made me look bad, at least according to Hackett. I swear I will take her out if I see her again.
Anyway, I headed to Noveria. I know I said I was going to Feros but I heard a rumor that Matriarch Benezia might have gone there. In fact, she was there and I was hoping to use her daughter to sway her to our side. The problem was getting to see her. First, some lame rent-a-cops tried to take my guns. We didn't fight - yet - but I could tell it was going to happen soon enough. Problem #2 was that I had to get past the director of the facility for some kind of pass. Corporate bullshit and this guy was standing in my way. Turned out his secretary was actually an internal affairs agent investigating him. I did her a favor and she gave me the pass I needed in return. Best part is I got to take out some of those rent-a-cops, all legally. I'll tell you more after I deal with Benezia. Love, Faith.
Dear Faith: Not much going on with me. Heard from Admiral Kahoku that a rogue black ops group called Cerberus had been behind the deaths of his marines and now they were after him. He seemed to think I might not hear from him again. If you get any info on this Cerberus, send it my way. They may have Kahoku running scared but I intend to take them down. If I fail...well, you'll have to avenge me.
Second thing up is that Admiral Hackett wants me to investigate a so-called "rogue VI" that went crazy on Luna. Does that sound suspicious to you? Hackett swears it's not an AI but I don't think I buy it. The only thing I can think of is that maybe Cerberus is behind it since my understanding is that their departure from the Alliance is recent. Love, Owen.
Dear Owen: Watch your back, brother! I know I have a soft spot for Dr. T'Soni but I'd be careful about taking aliens with you to an Alliance base. But since I know you will, I'm going to recommend the quarian - for obvious reasons - and the krogan (also for obvious reasons). And please don't make me have to avenge you. You're all the family I've got left and I don't want to lose you. Love, Faith
Next: Faith travels to Peak 15. If I have time, Owen will also go to Luna and maybe more.
Have to say, I'm really enjoying this Owen/Faith run. Wish there was a way I could make it happen through the entire trilogy but I don't think gender swap is such an easy thing to do in ME2 and ME3.
In other news, I got my new 2TB external hard drive. I'm going to see if I can run any games off of it. Want to try it with MEA but my suspicion that if it works on anything it'll be older games like ME1. Still, I managed to move some files over to it so I can also install ME3. Would love to be able to play TW3 and SWTOR from it since I don't currently have either of those installed.

From experience, as long as you don't move things around but keep them in the same place, games still work on external HDDs. Some that don't necessarily require an install (well, the writing into registers and shit part), survive even moving around...like say, if you put WoW on an external HDD, you can play it on any pc if you have HDD with you. Others, you will have to play them on the computer you installed them on.

Today in Heleus, Pathfinder Sara Ryder chases after Archon in Meridian! Edit: This is most likely not be my fault, but I would like to think it is. Before we knew what Kallo looked like, I tweeted a drawing of him in old-style flight goggles and a scarf at Bioware

Faith & Owen:
Dear Owen: First, I better not find our you're dead or something or I'll be pissed! Watch out for those aliens! I just had to kill a bunch of stupid robots, some krogan and a ton of giant bugs. Plus, I had to restart the entire "secret corporate facility" just so I could take a tram after Benezia. I'm already kind of pissed off at her. The path to Peak 15 was less filled with "storm" and more so with turrets. Then the krogan and geth were armed. Both things have to be very illegal and Benezia was the one who made it all happen. Plus that skeevy salarian who I got ousted from his job. But that was just on a corporate level. I have every intention of throwing the book at him once I'm done with Benezia. I'll let you know how it all turns out after the confrontation and also what those bugs are.
Oh, I almost forgot. To fix the facility I had to play that block restacking game we used to play back on Mindoir! I know you preferred Sudoku, and maybe that'll come in handy for you somewhere down the line, but this was my favorite! A little bit of fond memories from home. Love, Faith
Dear Faith: Thanks for the update. Still alive and kicking but curious to know about your bugs. I seem to vaguely recall some extinct bug race...I don't know. Glad you have fun with the block game but I don't see Sudoku popping up for me anywhere in this galaxy. I'll let you know how things turn out when I've finished something. Love, Owen
Next: Definitely completing Noveria and probably will have Owen take care of proto-EDI and start chasing down Cerberus.

Dear Owen: Binary Helix was a shit show. Those giant bugs? Turned out they were rachni and they were out of control because they'd been separated from their queen and that somehow made them crazy. Don't really understand it but there it is. Had to kill all of them, but in a fit of niceness I let the rachni queen go. Everything she said made sense. Maybe I'm feeling less...bad...toward aliens.
Before that, though, we met with Matriarch Benezia. She sent geth and asari commandos against us but they obviously failed. She was also behind hatching this ancient rachni egg found by Saren. But, get this, Benezia was being mind controlled by Saren and Saren was able to do that using that giant ship of his that I saw on Eden Prime. It had a name - Sovereign - and I have a sneaking suspicion it might be the real enemy. Benezia said she wouldn't be able to resist Saren's control for long and begged me to kill it. I actually felt bad about that, too. Hope things are going better for you, brother. Love, Faith

Dear Faith: Found that dead trader that had been mentioned to me by a guy on the Citadel. Also took down the rogue VI, which somehow made me healthier, have better barriers and more skill with weapons. My take is that when Cerberus was a black ops Alliance project that they were working on ways to improve soldiers. Maybe this would have one day been part of the standard package for new marines. Two distress beacons I found on different planets were actually geth traps, so I really want to see those robots go down. Discovered a hidden pirate base that had tougher than normal mercs inside. That's all for now. Love, Owen.

Dear Faith: Been busy lately. Took out some pirates, found a random armor that belonged to Wrex's grandfather, had to take down a crazy L2 biotic who murdered her entire crew (hope your Alenko is saner than this one - and be grateful we're L3's), saw some ExoGeni researchers turned into husks and helped a standoff between a bunch of desperate L2's who were willing to kill the idiot who voted against reparations for them (convinced them to stand down and the idiot politician promised to help them - I let him know his lack of knowledge on this issue he voted down showed how he was not doing his job).
After all that, I finally found Cerberus again on Binthu. In one facility, there were these weird plant people that didn't really seem to be sentient. Not sure what they are. The next facility had those exploding baby rachni you told me about. A bit curious how Cerberus got their hands on Binary Helix research. I'd say it's worth investigating but I'm pretty sure that with Benezia dead and Saren hopefully following suit that the corporation will cease to exist. Also, last facility had an adult rachni next to Admiral Kahoku's corpse. Before you start thinking you made a mistake with the rachni queen, you should know that the only marks on his body were from injections. That meant Cerberus was experimenting on him and the rachni never touched him. Then I followed up to what seemed to have been their main base on Nepheron, killed everyone inside and downloaded as many of their encrypted files as I could before they completely self-deleted. Contacted by a representative of the Shadow Broker as soon as I got back to my ship, they claimed Kahoku was going to give them that intel. I didn't trust them and gave it to the Alliance instead.
Then Hackett gave me another assignment. I guess we used to arm our probes with nukes back when we first encountered aliens. One turned up on Agebinium and I was asked to disarm it. It was a trap. Some asshole who had been behind the attacks on Elysium was mad because I stopped him seven years ago. I disarmed the nuke, tracked him down and made sure he and his crew would never hurt anyone again. And that's my update. Hope things are going better on your end. Love, Owen.

Dear Owen: Where should I start? First, I stopped by to see Udina. He gave me hell for saving the rachni but at least Anderson had my back, saying the genocide wasn't a viable option.
After that, I ran into that Conrad Verner guy whose been stalking me. Asked me to make him as Spectre, like I could just deputize him or something. I told him I could use him more as support on the home front. He seemed to buy into it. But that got me thinking about you. With all the missions you're getting sent on, are they training you to be a second human Spectre? I mean, you're good enough for it. I almost think that if you had gone to Eden Prime instead of me that you'd be standing on the Normandy right now as a Spectre. And I don't mean just anyone, but you. Any intel to spill about that, brother?
Came across a woman named Helena Blake who is part of a syndicate but claims her business partners are much worse, including selling red sand. She wanted me to take them down. Told her I'd do it, mainly to get rid of another crime syndicate but I'm undecided how I'm going to handle her.
Also, remember how Hackett said I came off looking bad after my interview? I heard a broadcast in the elevator not just saying I was able to come off sounding good but also that I had a "keen diplomatic mind". I didn't think he was underhanded like Udina or just a jerk like Mikhaelovich. What's your take? Love, Faith.
Dear Faith: Let me answer your questions before I get into what I've been doing. First, well, maybe. The brass said they had something in mind for me and if I did my job well I'd be rewarded. I guess Elysium wasn't good enough. Second, maybe Mikhaelovich is the real problem. Could be he's been talking shit about you and that filtered into Hackett's report. Don't really know, sis, because he's always been fond of me. I do know that I'm getting a commendation for my work against Cerberus but what the Alliance thinks and what the Council does are two separate things.
Now, on to what I've been doing. I planted that bug my reporter wanted. She loved the intel it gave her and paid me well for it. Sounds like her story might have a positive impact and put more air traffic controllers on the job to avoid overworking them.
Then I ended up doing a side job for a C-Sec agent to keep a civilian out of danger. Worked out well for me since I got paid in an unneeded weapon's mod. It was better than most anything I had so I guess it was worth it.
Last thing is some volus was accusing a salarian of trying to kill him. I knew the salarian. He was the one who asked me to scan the keepers for him. I decided I should talk to him but couldn't find him. Maybe there's something to the volus's story but he sounded unsure about the details so I don't know what's up get. Keep your chin up, Faith. You're doing great work out there and I'm sure that they'll acknowledge it eventually. Love, Owen.
Next: Faith goes to Pinnacle Station. If I have time, I'll deal with Helena Blake's crime syndicate and maybe even go to Feros. With even more time maybe I'll get back to Owen.

I prefer to bring peace between them myself. It's why I find it so sad that I will then go on to murder the entire geth race (and EDI) because I cannot in good conscience allow the Reapers to continue to exist. Which is also why I mod the endings because I feel bad about it all. Reading a phenomenally good fanfic right now that has Shepard dealing with the aftermath of those choices.

Saved the Council from a Cerberus coup attempt and finally locked in a romance with Kaidan. Looking forward to actually playing it. P.S. any bonus power recommendations for a Sentinel in ME3 on Insanity? I'm running with Warp Ammo right now, but I'm seriously considering taking Reave.

so I played some Andromeda last night. I actually started the game back on the night I noticed that Ryder's face model replied to one of my tweets. That was so exciting that I had to roll a default Scott. I didn't get very far though. the start of the game is a bit of a chore for me personally. I'm finally ready to go to eos now though after last night's session. I was tempted to flirt with Gil, but I did not. I did, however, flirt with Liam just for lol's. I'm not looking forward to meeting peebee again. I don't know if I'll play more tonight or not. However, I shall try since I want to get to Jaal again.

Dear Owen: Took the Pinnacle Station challenge! What I can tell you is that some sore loser turian tried to put a human in jail for being better than him. To save him, I had to get top scores on everything and damn if I didn't do it. Also got a pistol from the idiot for my trophy case.
Admiral Ahern, who ran the place, also let me play a special simulation he'd made about a mission of his from the First Contact War. In involved retrieving a data module and holding out for five minutes for an evac. Since he said it wasn't as tough as the "real deal", I told him to turn of the safeties and make all damage real. He agreed, and said if I won I got his retirement home on Inta'sei. Guess what I've got now? Tell you what, though. If I go down on this hunt for Saren, you can have the retirement home. Love, Faith.
Dear Faith: Congratulations! But, please, I'd rather not have that place if it means you die. How about if I go there and beat your record and then you hand it over to me? Love, Owen.

Dear Faith: Just as an FYI, the rachni are out here in droves. I'm not saying you had anything to do with it. I suspect that the eggs the queen lay on Noveria were stolen and given to Cerberus and left in other places as well. Then they hatched and, as you were told, went insane without Mother around to soothe them.
First, I went to Nepmos to find the source of the distress signal from Listening Post Alpha. I was really hoping it didn't turn out to be yet another geth trap. Anyway, even before finding the outpost, I found a couple spots where rachni soldiers burst forth from the ground and attacked. Then I found listening post. There were a handful of marines against horde of rachni. The generator powering their turrets was down, making them very vulnerable. I hooked the generator up to my Mako, making this battle much easier. After we were done fighting, I learned that what I had thought was merely a squad of marines had actually started as a company of about 90. Faith, the rachni had killed about 80 marines until we came along and helped out.
Sensor data told us there were more rachni holed up in a nearby mine. Lt. Durand, who was in charge, told us to wait until a larger ship came along with more marines and heavier weaponry. I knew that was a bad idea. I had no idea if a queen was present or not but I couldn't risk it. If one were around, and she were hatching new warriors, this could quickly become the new home base for an aggressive sect of rachni. That was the last thing we needed.
My squad went to this mine and found a tougher breed of rachni inside. There were also some males, "brood warriors", who I later learned only came out when a hive was in danger of being destroyed. We took them out and that was the end of it. No queen was present, nor any eggs, so I think my worries were unfounded. It was probably, as I theorized, rachni that had never come into contact with the queen and were insane as a result.
I decided to look into a listening post in a nearby system on the planet Altahe. It had gone quiet and I wanted to know why. What I found were a lot of dead marines and a bunch of rachni that soon joined them. I also found what I assume were rachni eggs. They were awfully strange looking. Again, though, no queen. Finally, I discovered that drone drops had been made to all the listening posts where rachni appeared. Couldn't be a coincidence. Garrus was able to trace it to Argus Rho. About to go check it out, maybe figure out if there's a queen on board and hopefully put a stop to it all. Love, Owen.
Dear Owen: BE CAREFUL, brother. I know you can handle yourself but I hope you're smart enough to bring that krogan along with you. They are rachni killers, after all. The whole reason why they were uplifted. Let me know if I screwed up in saving the rachni queen. If I did, I'll join you in hunting her down as soon as I finish my own mission. Love, Faith.

I finally got back to Andromeda after a Fae intermission. I completed havaral to 100% tonight and unlocked the mission to save the moshea-but I haven't started it yet. soonTM I also played poker with Gil. I cheated but then confessed to him. I like that Gil seems pleased by that outcome. I also made a little progress on the loyalty missions for Jaal and Drack. I told Cora I'd go to eos with her, but I won't do that till later on. We discovered an uknown mass on the ship-and after some scanning we found a construction mech that was left in the wall of the nexus by one of the Salarian's that designed the ship. We decided to keep it as a memorial to the team. Kallos was pleased!

I did a lot last night/this morning. I saved the moshae first of all. Took the second and the final friend flirt with Jaal. I visited the vault on Aya, Voeld, and fought a remnant Architect on eos! I now have havaral, and eos with 100% viability and Voeld at 93 % I think it was. I will finish it off later today (probably). Up next I will be going to Kadara!

Dear Faith: Remember how I said I thought Cerberus was involved with all the rachni I was finding? Just call me psychic! I found a freighter in the Argos Rho cluster full of rachni. There were also logs left behind by a Major Elena Flores saying that the had room for two platoons of Cerberus commandos and that their rachni were smarter than expected and got loose. The logs were left for an unnamed general. So not only do we have Cerberus doing these stupid experiments but high level Alliance members are part of them. I did bring all of this up to Admiral Hackett and he thought I should take it to the Council.
Next, I was told to investigate scientists who were being killed. Hackett thought it somehow died into a squad of marines who were killed by thresher maws several years ago. He didn't say why he thought so and I didn't ask questions. What I found on Ontarom were a bunch of dead mercs and then a Corporal Toombs holding a gun to one of the scientists. He was the last survivor of that squad attacked by thresher maws. Said he'd been captured and injected with thresher maw acid to test its effects. Then he said he only got free when "someone" took down Cerberus. The scientist more or less admitted I should get involved because they were powerful people. I convinced Toombs that I could get away with taking out this scientist and that's just what I did. Then I called for a ship to pick up Toombs so he could get the help he needed. I reported all of this to Hackett and he said my actions were understandable.
Then I headed out to the Skyllian Verge to look into some reported geth activity in four systems. It was a lot of work, but we took care of it. There was a vid screen in one facility that showed a quarian singing a sad song which was then transmitted to the Perseus Veil before shutting down. Seemed strange, like the kind of thing a living being might do.
Garrus then told me about an old C-Sec case of his where the bad guy got away. It was something to do with organ harvesting and then selling them on the black market. We tracked down the salarian doctor responsible and I let Garrus put a bullet in his brain. Problem solved.
After returning to the Citadel I was contacted by Admiral Hackett. He decided I should confide in your former CO, Captain Anderson. I did so and he also believed we should go to the Council. The only way we could do that was through Udina. He was able to arrange a meeting and, well, things went better than expected. I'm not allowed to say what the outcome of the meeting was but let's just say I got a promotion. Next time we meet in person we can talk about it. Love, Owen.
[Yes, Owen is also now a Spectre but his undercover directive is to infiltrate Cerberus, which sets the stage for ME2. Owen's part is done until ME2. I'll finish out Faith's missions to Feros, Virmire, and Ilos, as well as any remaining side missions.]
