Question: How are you actually supposed to get across the purple fires in Tresspasser? Anchor Discharge gives you a shield that works against them.

Just started a new playthrough of DAO. Here's a shitty phone pic of Caius Amell: <iframe width="22.539999999999964" height="13.100000000000023" style="position: absolute; width: 22.54px; height: 13.1px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 0px; top: 0px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_70956921"></iframe> <iframe width="22.539999999999964" height="13.100000000000023" style="position: absolute; width: 22.54px; height: 13.1px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1054px; top: 0px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_53827254"></iframe> <iframe width="22.539999999999964" height="13.100000000000023" style="position: absolute; width: 22.54px; height: 13.1px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 0px; top: 592px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_34686059"></iframe> <iframe width="22.539999999999964" height="13.100000000000023" style="position: absolute; width: 22.54px; height: 13.1px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1054px; top: 592px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_94598726"></iframe> I tried to make him look Amell-ish, and in true cousin-to-Hawke fashion he's going to be a snarky bastard who romances a grumpy grump, aka Morrigan. Dunno that I'll ever finish this one - I'm dwarf trash and I miss my dwarves already, plus this would make all three of my protags mages and I'm not about that life. But it's fun for now. Returning to this playthrough. God, I love Morrigan. This world state is going to be full of protagonists who fall for acerbic tsundere LIs, no shame. I decided to make Caius more of a support type, focusing on herbalism and creation to contrast with Morrigan's entropy magic and eventual blood magic. Also helps differentiate him from Hawke and Adaar, both of whom I play as heavy on the elemental firepower. Met Morrigan and her mom and shit's about to go down at Ostagar.

I started a brand new trilogy playthrough yesterday. So yesterday, I played through all six of the origins (1. to remind me what happened in some of them; and 2. to pick my protagonist for this round). I ended up choosing my female dwarf commoner. ranged rogue. To be honest, unlike vertigomez , Zevran's charms have no effect on me. And since he's the only m/m option, this game is the easiest of all of the Bioware games (along with KOTOR) for me to play as a female protagonist. I don't feel like I'm leaving any m/m goodness on the table, so to speak. So, today, Natia Brosca (I just went with the default name) became a Grey Warden, survived the battle of Ostagar, 'recruited' Morrigan, found my dog, and set out for Lothering. Which is where I left it for now. If I end up going back to it later today, the most I'll get through is Lothering proper. I'm expecting this playthrough to last me several weeks given how little I get to play.

Going along just fine with my Trevelyan dual-wield rogue (Alexander). Was just about the meet with Cassandra, Leliana and that jerk from the Chantry when the game crashed. Then, right there, was a Windows Defender pop-up asking if the program was allowed. I think that's the culprit. Hope I didn't lose too much.
I had just created another almost-identical Inquisitor the other day but there was something about him I didn't like. Too wide in the face and the jowls came down too far. So I abandoned him in favor of Alexander. Either way, I'm avoiding the Winter Palace. I wonder if I throw caution to the wind and literally avoid court approval entirely how it would all work out. If I take the ending where the Inquisition doesn't back down it won't even matter.

Strongly flirting with doing another triology run even though I just did that June-September this year.

Strongly flirting with doing another triology run even though I just did that June-September this year. Do it! I’m currently storming the palace gates in the battle of denerim as I type this. 50 of Orzammar’s finest are with me, along with Alistair, Wynne, and Leliana (the Warden’s love). Sten commands the troops, along with Oghren and my dog, at the gates. Queen Anora is safely on the throne. Morrigan just left, Zevran is dead in an alley gutter, and Shale is, unfortunately a pile of rubble in the deep roads. Can’t wait for my warden to make the ultimate sacrifice and to start with a new Warden Commander PC for Awakening. I’ve never done that option before. Although I might do another lady dwarf.

Yeah, I did. I got to Lothering and picked up Gilmore before calling it a day.

Wait, what?!? I just realized that starting a new game in DA:A with a dead Warden means that you automatically get Alistair as the king? BOO! I specifically did a different choice this time. I went with solo Anora (versus my typical Anora and Alistair joint ruling choice -- the objectively correct one..... ) this time so that I could see how it plays it. I know that I can change that in DA:I with the keep. But does that mean that I will have Alistair as King in DA II now as well? That sucks. They should have had the option to import a save with a dead Warden which then starts you with a character creation for the Orlesian Warden allowing you to get both a new Warden Commander AND your choices imported. This kills all of my joy of replaying DA II, which was already minimal to begin with since I think that game's a dumpster fire. I'll still replay DA: A, but now I'm debating just importing my dead warden and pretending that she didn't die (I guess it would default to a dead Alistair? How does that work?). UGH. I'm so annoyed.

Recruited Sera, Vivienne and Iron Bull. Took Sera, Bull and Solas with me to Redcliffe. About to do In Hushed Whispers but I have to go out. This mission is too time consuming and, IIRC, saving is not allowed.
EDIT: Couldn't remember if I had Bi-Cullen installed. I don't. Guess it's Dorian again.

Skipping ahead to DAI because..... reasons. That's just a random picture of Sera unrelated to "reasons", right? I really do enjoy Sera though a romance isn't in the cards.

I decided to do a trilogy playthrough, starting it off with Avalon Amell. She’s a blood mage arcane warrior. She is actually incredibly proud circle mage and a bit slow to draw with everything else. It’s been very fun and amusing. She usually makes bad decisions and realizing it’s bad too late when she really is compassionate and makes most choices with her heart before her brain. It’s been fun!
I just finished the Deep roads with her and will soon beheading into the forest for the Dalish . That’s her final treaty.
