Delilah Hawke asked for the bad girl treatment at the Blooming Rose. Got a lecture from a chantry sister for her gold.  Went into the Deep Roads with Varric, Bethany, and Fenris. Killed a lot of darkspawn, and then the darkspawn killed Bethany. Mother Hawke is very upset. |

'Wanted' isn't quite the right word, but I wanted her dead this run because I've got 2 other runs where she lives, one as circle mage and the other as GW. It works with this Hawke though. |

I've never killed my sibling before. I guess I'm too much of a softie. It is already far too hard for me to deal with the mom's death as is. Yeah, I sort of hit ESC to skip through it fast. It's weird seeing the hole in the companion roster where she would be. All of this DA2ing has for some reason made me want to play DAO also (on top of the DAI games I have planned), but that would mean going back and redoing my DA2 games I've already started. Too many games, not enough hours. Also, poor planning. |

So for some reason, DAO is crashing every time I try to enter the chantry to talk to the mother about releasing Sten. Not sure what to do, has anyone else run into this problem?

Well, I have it all set up for the final battle (  ) I think I've done every quest I wanted, and refused to do some because of the way my character is (remember that dwarf with the nugs business? fuck him), in my first two run I never adopted Schmooples because that dwarf and the two slaughtered nugs behind him gave me the creeps, but I'm glad I adopt Schmooples this time around. Quick summary: - Werewolves cured, made peace with elves. Note for the future, dont trust bald elves dudes lol - Destroyed the Anvil of the Void and chose Harrowmont as king. I really hate this because both options sucks, I would have liked a third party worried about the casteless and poor people as you know, people that deserve equal rights and oportunities, Bhelen may be interested in change the system a little bit but he's a tyrant and he will do whatever it suits him better, "helping the casteless" in exchange of military service = cannon fodder to him. Fuck him, Harrowmont even with some shady traits is a "better" man. I would wipe out Orzammar's politics if I had the chance. Shale as Queen of Orzammar anyone? Yes? YES.- Dagna is still adorable. Also it breaks my heart having to lie to that mother waiting for her son, but it's the best for her to think he's dead. - We rescued Cailan's body and did a proper funeral for him. RIP. - Killed some Tevinter slavers, helped some oppressed elves, good times. - Rendol Howe is cute when he's red and dead. - Side quests breaking your immersion and pacing since ... always. Travel there! Do this!  Kill Raelnor Hawkwind he's too honorable for the Blackstone Irregulars!... blablabla killed Taoran instead. Helped the Mage's Collective. Helped the Chanters. Blablabla. - Middle finger to Anora. We won the Landsmeet. And Ryllel Amell defeated Loghain in single combat. Refused to kill him but Alistair took the initiative (very hot  ) bye bitch. Gotta say that I would love Anora in the throne, the thought of a woman ruling as queen in medieval setting is kinda my kink (Sansa Queen in the North! Long live Daenerys), but she is a treacherous bitch and she doesn't deserve it imo. Alistair has the heart and the soul and experience dealing with the death in the front lines, the experience as king will come later with years. - The "I have to dump you" moment... I convinced Alistair to stay together, he's the king after all, but Ryllel Amell knows too well he will NOT survive this battle, he wants to grasp the last drop of love he can. Tragic. TRAAAAAAAAGIC.  Awakening is awesome and all but not gonna lie, having to create the Orlesian Warden again and play as him is not the same. I'm gonna headcanon he and Anders are gonna be a couple post-DA2 tho  (he's gonna be a ranger again so yeah couple of animal lovers as it should be, it is known lol) I hope I can finish the final battle today aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa So for some reason, DAO is crashing every time I try to enter the chantry to talk to the mother about releasing Sten. Going by what we hear and see in the game alone, I don't know why anyone would like Anora or her king-slaying daddy. Off with both of their heads.
I managed to get past that crashing issue after I repaired the game, so all is good for now. Made it to Redcliffe castle, found out that a creepy little kid named Connor had gotten himself possessed and was sending dead things to try and destroy the village. Still haven't decided which route I want to take with them, but I need to go do the circle tower and that's my least favorite part of the game. I HATE the fade part.

Did the final battle, sacrificed myself slaying the Archdemon and all is as sad as I remembered  Couple of thoughts: The Dark Ritual just sucks and I think we all know too well to whom is catered for. If you're a woman (straight or bi) and romanced Alistair you gotta ask your love one to have sex with a woman that he hates/doesnt like. If you're a lesbian you gotta ask your friend to take the burden, having sex with someone that he doesnt want. If you are a gay man your own sexuality is violated when she asks you to have sex  and not even a comment about "friend I understand you dont fancy women sorry for ask you" nop. I know it's called DARK ritual for reason but it feels wrong to me and I hope they dont do this shit again. Roleplay-wise it fits with my character not taking the offer (even though there're no consequences with Kieran, just lazy Bioware), we are talking about the soul of a Old God here, Ryllel knew this would happen and he's not willing to put this burden in his love one either. The mod that let you punch Alistair to kill yourself the archdemon? Still AWESOME. I totally recommend the Bi Overhaul mod, it was great. There's a tiny detail tho, I got friendzone'd in the funeral, Alistair has two romance-related lines, the first is "I... I thought we would be together forever.", and then he said "You will be missed, more than I can possibly say.", I got the first line but not the last one, he said to me "You will be missed my friend, by us all". There's a mod to fix this though, gotta find it because I deleted it. I'm really happy with this new canon run, my only regret is that I couldnt return the sword to the kid in Redcliffe, I really like that epilogue when he turns into an adventurer thanks to the Warden, I tried to return the sword A LOT of times but his sister did not want to accept it, I managed to return the sword in my first two runs but it was impossible on this one, bugged? I dont know, I just gave it up after doing "A Village Under Siege" about five or six times... PS. BIG LOL to that Cullen epilogue where he went mad and killed a bunch innocent people, Bioware  kinda meh about doing Awakening right now... |

So... I'm still on this odyssey to return the frigging sword, I thought well maybe it has to do with saving all the people in the village (Murdock, Lloyd, Dwyn etc) saving them all? Nothing. Some of them getting killed? Nothing. I checked my oooooold as fuck save when I DID return the sword to see the dialogue wheel and try the same. Nothing.  This is bugged and it cant be helped |

The modder fixed the issue and now the romance (and sad ending) is PERFECT I think I'm going to replay again this though, DAO is my fav game, Alistair is my fav romance so is not something that I would hate to repeat over and over (except the Fade  ) let's see if I can return that freaking sword  Also I tweaked my Warden to look like the original, with the last one I chose the wrong nose the new one is more handsome  Edit. I tested Rondeeno's mod this afternoon and it works like a charm and it's awesome  So yeah ME and DA canon runs started in the same day, kinda crazy |

BINCHES I SOLVED THE CASE It was the Bi Overhaul mod that didnt let me to return the sword, installing this new version something clicked in my brain and I looked to the dates of my installed mods, and just tested it without the mod and it worked, I could return the sword.  I'm at peace  |

I got Dragon Age running with the dlc recognized after all (update from the Dragon Age Speculation thread irrelevant mostly).
I am hoping the Alistair mod is installed correctly. I am trusting the nexus program to sort things for me cause I'm so pc challenged as it is. The easy mode mod worked for sure, cause my health is hardly going down at all-which I adore honestly as I'm terrible with pc gaming!
So here's hoping I get to gay bang Alistair soon! I made it to Ostagar with my human rogue. Got Alistair but needed a break. playing on pc still feels so odd to me, but I'm getting used to the controls slowly but surely.

I messed up by not reading the nexus page for the mod though, I needed to install an additional mod since I am playing it on origin. I had no clue. So I missed one of the flirt options, but thankfully I noticed it was missing cause I've romanced Alistair as a female 3523892 times. So I investigated and found the additional mod file I needed. So now I can make out with Alistair when I want much to Morrigan's displeasure!  |
