It's a challenge for sure, and that quest is quite buggy it seems. It was buggy on ps3 and buggy on pc too.

I can't imagine playing this game on the harder settings, I'm too chicken! You are quite brave Nick!

Got through the roughest part of the game today.

Started off the day at the camp. Morrigan thanked Arthur for what he had done by killing Flemeth and she wondered if there could be anything between them. He turned her down, but they both were happy being just friends and how they've come a long way from their initial meeting in the wilds.
Zevran began to confide in Arthur about his past and told him of his mother. Arthur then surprised him with some Dalish Gloves and Zevran was grateful.

Next stop was Orzammar. This is where the game decided to start being difficult. For the first time the game decided to crash! I tried a few times and couldn't figure out what the problem was. I assume it had something to do with the clothing mods I'm using because once I gave Sten back his default outfit it stopped crashing..for the moment. Got a few more crashes in the Deep Roads.
Anyway, Orzammar is my least favorite section of the game and I have very little love for it. I can appreciate what they attempted to do with it and the design of it...but I just hate being trapped underground.
I just tried to rush through all the quests as quickly as possible.
Also helped open a Chantry.

Getting into the deep roads, I did explore a bit here...but didn't complete everything. Also...I accidentally killed Ruck for the first time ever...I felt so bad!
Even though I don't enjoy the deep roads as much as the rest of the game...I do still have a slight appreciation from it and can still find some enjoyment.
I've always liked the section with Hespith and her poem...that is just so creepy.
Ugh but that broodmother fight...more annoying than it needed to be. I survived but it was only thanks to Leliana being a ranger with her bear companion!
As for the Branka confrontation...I decided to kill her and destroy the anvil. Arthur couldn't stand by her monstrous actions and didn't want to imprison anymore souls than Caridin already had. My strategy here was to use up all the lyrium before Branka could get to it so she wouldn't do her duplication thing...made the fight so much easier than it would have been!
Back at Orzammar Arthur gave the crown to Bhelen. He doesn't really care for their politics but believed Orzammar needed to change instead of being stuck in the past. Joked about getting his own statue as well.

Back at camp...things got a bit hilarious.
Morrigan aksed Arthur about his romance with Alistair. Arthur told her "He's an idiot, but he's my idiot" which is totally true, haha.
Leliana decided she wanted to speak with Arthur. They talked about the beauty of the night sky and she told him a story. She then proceeded to tell him how she enjoyed their night watches together and how she felt safe around him. They talked about Marjolaine and how she will always cherish those times despite what happened...and how Arthur has become just as special to her as Marjolaine was. She then proceeded to try inviting Arthur to her tent...only for him to turn her down.
It seems Arthur is quite the lady's man despite not being into women, haha.
This led to Alistair confronting him about his relationship with Leliana...so naturally Arthur assured him that he loves Alistair and no one else.

I don't understand the pacing of Leliana's romance nor how I ended up in a relationship with her...but I didn't mind. It seemed she had no romantic content at all prior to confronting Marjolaine and now...she suddenly dumped it all out at once!
But I really, really love her romance exclusive conversations. I love that talk she has about how she feels safe at night with the Warden and how beautiful the night sky is...she's so adorable when you tease her.
Honestly if I wasn't playing a gay character I'd be very tempted to go for Leliana and Morrigan. They're both very sweet for very different reasons, but I love them both so much.
Origins has such great romances. I really love the format and how they can play it in so many different ways and the jealousy banter as well...if they had the animations and interactivity from Inquisition they'd be perfect...but mods help with that! I miss these talks beside a campfire with that beautiful song playing in the background.
But really...Leliana is such a great character here and I love that she cares so much for Arthur...I'm so sad with how she ends up later...I hope she's happier as Divine Victoria.

I honestly don't mind the sex scenes in Origins unlike most people. They have a certain..."charm" to them...and those mods certainly help!

The fact that this mod gives you a variety of repeatable scenes and an option to hug Alistair too...it's a huge plus! Installing real anatomy was more complicated though...but totally worth it. lol!

Got through some of the more interesting portions of the game today!
Started off by going to Redcliffe to inform Eamon of the army gathered.
Headed off to Denerim soon after where the party was informed of Anora's imprisonment.
This has always been one of my favorite sections of the game with the chain of events it sets off!
Freed some prisoners from Arl Howe's dungeons...although Arthur did kill one himself because of his despicable actions against elves.
I think I had more hatred for Howe in this game than I had ever had before. He crossed the line when he spoke of Arthur's mother and I just wanted him dead. Got some satisfaction quickly seeing him in a pool of his own blood.
Headed back to Queen Anora and teased her about her height. Surrendered as it seemed best at that point to prevent anything from coming back at them later.

This next little section has always been a fun one. I've only ever tried breaking out once. This time Arthur was sure Leliana and Wynne would break them out. It was so cute seeing them impersonate chantry sisters to get inside.

Back at Eamon's estate, spoke to Riordan about the Wardens and his plans to stop the blight.
Got another quest from Anora dealing with elves in the alienage. Spoke with her about her father and agreed to (not really) support her at the landsmeet.
Skipped the alienage quests due to being short on time. Killed the Tevinter mages and freed the elves while gaining evidence against Loghain.
Finished gathering allies for the landsmeet.
Teased Alistair about becoming King back at the estate as everyone prepared for what was to come.

I love how this section of the game is handled. I love being able to turn nearly everyone against Loghain and them defeating him in a duel.
Alistair was the champion and quickly put an end to Loghain's life.
Arthur proceeded to name him king...with himself ruling beside Alistair!
I've always felt bad about betraying Anora...but I want Ferelden to have gay kings haha.

So close to finishing up this game. I'm going to complete the DLC stuff tomorrow and work on remaining side quests for the next two days...and finish the game soon after that.
It always breaks my heart when the game comes to an end.
I think I still have a few more conversations I can get from everyone back at the camp...and I must admit I never even touched Sten and Oghren.
I'm going to miss those lovely campfire conversations when this is all over.

Don't feel bad: Anora also able to break her promise: She concerted with my Mahariel, that she will rule with Alistair, but at the end, she turned against the alliance (I don't know, what I missed: Mahariel had max persuasion). So: in this world Alistair rules alone there.

I never got this line with the bi overhaul mod, weird I dont even know what are the requirements, is this when you ask him to join in your tent instead of him? I always let him giving the first step, I think my thirsty past self asked him only one time but I dont even remember the conversation

edit. I'm trying to save all six refugees but it's impossible and it's very annoying

You guys I'm parched! I needed a drank of that Alistair loving! I can't help it!

it's possible I have it installed wrong. I just let the nexus mod manager install it. I assumed it was working correctly cause I can romance Alistair at all for the main thing. But yeah, I may have to try to reinstall it in a different way soon. But I've already gone through most of the game at this point-and there's little romance content left. Plus that's the only time the gender has been wrong so I assume it's not the situation. but we shall see. I will play this game again in the future for sure. I'm having a blast!

I finished the Dalish quest earlier today-would have made even more progress-but I had to go to my sister's house. Will play more in the morning though. Nighty night!
