So, I did some more of the side quests in denerim. (I'm doing them a little at a time so they aren't such a chore) I also finished the haven part of the search for the ashes, but I still have to do the temple part next. I will probably fight the high dragon too, since I didn't fight Flemmeth. Now that I know what we know about her-I just don't want to fight her like I originally did. Plus I'm kind of a fan of hers. Though I'm sure I'll fight her sometimes, cause it's just nice to fight dragons sometimes. haha I'm in the opposite I always "kill her" because no only fits with my Warden (he doesnt know what we know from DAI xD), I really like that quest when "you bring her back from the dead" in DA2, I dont even know if this quest still happens if you dont kill her in DAO, now I'm curious! Also, the High Dragon is peacefully there taking a nap and I cant kill her so Flemeth it is it's kinda cool you're taking down a goddess no less, the fight was difficult at level 10 and on normal mode though wow, I've never fought her that early on in the game with any luck. Great work! Hmmm, I like fighting dragons, I'm a strange one. so I almost regret not fighting flemmeth-I wonder if she's still hanging out at her cabin. haha!

I died a looooooooooooooooooot but with a bunch of health potions and tricking Flemeth with Alistair it was fairly easy, I stopped thinking about her as actual person, she's just a machine with ones and zeros, paused the game, sent Alistair to her back, then she turned around, paused game, sent Alistair to her back, repeat lol Wynne helped tho XD

Though sometimes I have gone after it with dual daggers with Alistair while wynne stays back and heals us. hehe

I finally got Shale today! I think she's easily one of my favorite characters in the franchise. She's so hilarious and certainly the most unique companion! I love her "bird thing" and gave her the joke gifts, haha. I think I'll have to try getting her earlier sometime and actually giving up a character slot for her - but it's always so hard for me to part with Morrigan and Leliana and I'd never leave Alistair out of the party! It's been so strange (although very helpful) having Wynne along instead of Morrigan! I also did Shale's companion quest and will probably start finishing up more side quests tomorrow as well as Return To Ostagar. I've kind of been neglecting Origins a bit in order to install some naughty mods for Skyrim, haha. Preparing the game with mods makes me want to start playing it again. So...I'm not sure if I'll play Dragon Age 2 immediately after Origins or just jump into Skyrim again. Definitely haven't made up my mind about Inquisition though...I want to romance Cullen again but I dread the thought of all those empty, open worlds with boring quests...I'd feel like I'm not playing the game right if I just skip everything and only do the main quests though...

Today I was able to complete "Return To Ostagar" and Wynne's companion quest. I've always loved the Return To Ostagar DLC. I still remember how effective it was at impacting me the first time through it. It definitely left its impression on me. Ostagar is absolutely beautiful covered in snow. It was such an emotional experience going through it all the first time - seeing yourself back at where it all started and reflecting on your long journey since then and how much you've grown with Wynne and Alistair. Those flashbacks were like an emotional punch in the gut. It's a total roller-coaster ride the entire way through. Poor Cailan. He was a good man that was lost too soon. I think this is easily one of the highlights of the game - and most effective if done late as I always have. I was surprised it took so long to trigger Wynne's quest. I almost thought it never would. It's short, but really sweet. I've always had a little crush on Aneirin, haha. He's such a gorgeous elf and one of the reasons I prefer their Origins design. I love what little we get to see of his character and enjoy the brief, but sweet, interactions we get. Would've loved to see more of him and would totally romance him or someone like him. I think I'm going to go ahead and finish up the game tomorrow. The urge to play Skyrim is too strong now and it has prevented me from fully focusing on the game. I need to get it out of my system, haha. I almost wish I hadn't gone ahead and installed those mods to make Skyrim gayer and more interesting so I wouldn't feel the need to jump into it ASAP...but the feeling was already there so I would've wanted to get to it sooner or later! If I can resist the call, I'll probably play Awakening after finishing Origins. I love Awakening so much!

I love Awakening so much! know the feel I have a character with a harem of dudes and monsters as companions, I call it the slut playthrough lol I recreated my canon dragonborn thanks to the console trick to see the character creator and installed those animal friendly mods to not kill a single animal in this revisited canon I will do. I wish there was this kind of mod for DAO though, I hate killing wolves and bears and little dragons T____T Gotta say that that tabern mod to spend the night with Alistair is sooooooooooooo worth it actually I'm liking this playthrough a lot more than the last I did, with these new mods I have new headcanon scenes and it's sooo cool :3

I made it Ozammar finally, but my game is having more and more issues with glitches and crashes. Eh, I think I'm done for now. I got the alistair content I like best already-so I'll just put this on hold possibly for good-but I might come back to it later. The dwarf quest line is my least favorite part of the game, and with it crashing now on top of it-eh...I need a long break. lol

Okay so I didn't take a long break after all, I did a bit more of the ozammar questing. It's pretty boring though, so I'm just going to do it in small segments till I make it through. Up next is Jarvia's hideout. After that at least I'll be able to go to the deep roads-which is marginally more interesting than the political fuckery of the first bits. Though none of it is actually fun sadly.

Marian Hawke took Isabela, Aveline, and Merrill to take care of business on the Wounded Coast and got a toooon of approval, it was ridiculous honestly. They all really love it when you shank Kelder the child-killer. We also rescued Feynriel from some slavers and sent him to the Dalish and spoke to Cullen and Thrask about blah blah some sidequests. Hawke is romancing Isabela but I think Merrill's got a crush. Poor Merrill lolol I'm pirate queen trash this time.

Oh, you! I'm guilty of stealing some men from their wives and having them as companions to, uh...test out some naughty mods and make sure everything was working. It was a total coincidence that all three guys were blondes, haha. I think this time I'm going to have Farkas, this hunky male follower, and Hadvar after the civil war quest. I made it Ozammar finally, but my game is having more and more issues with glitches and crashes. Eh, I think I'm done for now. I got the alistair content I like best already-so I'll just put this on hold possibly for good-but I might come back to it later. The dwarf quest line is my least favorite part of the game, and with it crashing now on top of it-eh...I need a long break. lol That is exactly the point in my game where everything started crashing! It was all fine until then...I never even got the attack on the party camp this time because of the crashes! I'm stubborn though and pushed through. It seemed to mostly be during the heavier segments with a lot of enemies on the maps. It was so annoying having it crash near the end of a tough fight! I think after this I'm going to clean out all the mods and see if I can figure out how to install them properly without crashing. I'm going to assume it has something to do with the clothing mods I'm using because everything was fine until I installed them...but I also want to make sure I'm not called a woman by Alistair next time! Okay so I didn't take a long break after all, I did a bit more of the ozammar questing. It's pretty boring though, so I'm just going to do it in small segments till I make it through. Andrew Mancer I had some crashes on ps3 during the deep roads too. I think that part of the game is not optimized as well as the rest of the game. That happens sometimes where there just wasn't enough testing in certain areas of long games. I am surprised there aren't unofficial patches for Dragon age as popular as it is to fix some of these issues.

Well...I got it done. I decided to just skip out on all the little side quests and just go ahead and finish the game. Started off by saving Redcliffe again in a simple little battle at the castle's gates. I love the atmosphere here that the game gives off. It really does feel like you are nearing the end. I always enjoyed the little talk with the guard where he tells you how he feels and about his family. It's a nice little touch that adds a lot of life into the grand finale. Also, that twist with Riordan was pretty great the first time. But what comes after...ugh...the dark ritual is just awful. It's horrible how the game just completely ignores that your character is gay and implies that you want to spend the night with Morrigan. The fact that she's a friend and should know better just makes thing worse...I mean, even a little "I'm not into women" or "I know you aren't into women" would've made it a bit (but not much) better. I feel awful forcing this thing on Alistair just to get a happy ending. The poor guy...it's a very uncomfortable thing unless you are straight and romancing Morrigan. I wish there was a way to survive without this awful little plot twist...even if it had been difficult to obtain. That said...I absolutely love the lead up to the final battle. That cinematic showing your army marching off to war and the speech that Alistair gives...just amazing. Seeing it just gives the feeling that you are prepared to fight and win this thing. I also love Anora's version of the speech, but I'll likely never see it again. I think they handled the finale of this game very well. It really does feel like a desperate situation and I love that you get to fight alongside all of your companions and soldiers. I also like that you get to control the characters you didn't choose while they defend another part of Denerim. The fight with the Archdemon was much simpler than I thought it would be, but it felt so satisfying delivering the finishing blow. I love that Duncan narrates the epilogue. It does feel like you've come a long way since his opening narration. It felt so good hearing Alistair's speech where he mentions his Prince. The dialogue flows so naturally you wouldn't know it's a mod! But this section of the game...it really, really messes with my heart. I cried again. They've all come such a long way together and I love speaking with everyone about their future plans...but it hurts knowing that they are all going their separate ways. I'd like to think that my Warden remains close with everyone even after this. One of my favorite parts here was seeing Fergus again. I wanted to give the guy a big 'ole hug seeing him again. I can just imagine how Arthur must have felt seeing his only living relative again after so long... Arthur plans to travel to Highever to help rebuild there, along with his husband and Zevran apparently, haha. After so long, it would just be a relief to be able to spend some time with his brother and husband as they work towards a better future. I can't express my love for this game enough. I'm glad it's become a part of my life and has been there to support me all these years when I really needed it. I've decided to go ahead and start Awakening and then continue onto DA2. I might even play Inquisition after because of Cullen, if not Skyrim. Also I think I've figured out what the problem was with my game...after a million crashes I decided to remove the extra Alistair romance mods to see if they were the cause of the crashing but they were not, thankfully. It was Wynne's outfit! I have no idea why, but after I gave her normal clothing everything started working just fine. That reminds me...it did feel weird not having Morrigan there at the final battle as I had always done before.

Andrew Mancer the dark ritual is just shit and maybe the only positive thing the ultimate sacrifice has since that I'm not doing it, how the game erase your sexuality is just wrong (or how shitty this is for female players too) I really like one line that cut you off the romance with Morrigan, when she tells you this: you can respond this: of course this gives you a -3 penalty but it's a cool move to cut you off from Morrigan and not being ninjamanced.

oddly enough I don't think I've ever been ninjamanced by Morrigan. I know all the choices to avoid I guess. But yeah she does eventually ask me straight up if there could be more between us, and I'm all "No" and she takes it fairly well. I don't even lose friend points. phew!

The mirror scene can be dangerous: must avoid the compliment! ("to a beautiful woman..." or similar – it's easy to miss it, because such a remark is not really a flirt according to me) –35 approval if you sober her after this.

So I am about half way through Ortan taig. yeah this is taking forever. Someday I will get through Orzammar though. Good news is the game isn't misbehaving as much now. My warden is level 19 now, and I got Alistair into Calin's fully upgraded armor-it looks so smashing on him! I would probably be done with this quest line-but I keep getting distracted by side quests and taking breaks to make out with Alistair.
