Also, Kerry sucks. Didn't like his design, so I tried to mod it, but turns out, that didn't help. Didn't like him as a person either. Kerry is very childish. I really don't like his big romance quest in particular. I always go with River, even if I have to play the game differently than how I would have normally. Still not all bad news, at least Panam behaves when I have bewbs. Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the game. The story is pretty hard to like at times, especially the dumpster fire that is the endings. |

Yeah, even if I weren't opposed to the fact that just to meet Kerry means V has to give Johnny a free spin in their body, something that explicitly speeds up the ticking clock to V's death, the fact really is that spending Kerry's storyline effectively acting as the 85% of his impulse control... Not my idea of fun. It genuinely is something that I've completely sworn off doing - aside from the memories we have to experience, I'm never going to see Kerry in my games again.

So many people love Johhny, or ship their V with him, blech. He's a parasite stealing your body and he acts violent and abusive, and if you do trust him and let him have a spin, he abuses the trust you give him instantly, and then begs for you to let him do it a 2nd time. I'm not big on Kerry as a romance, but to have to jump through the Johnny hetero hoops to get to him makes it even more off putting.
If they somehow do make another Cyberpunk game, I hope it's set in some other timeline where I never have to see, hear, or think about Johnny ever again. The most enjoyment I've had in this game so far was either where I modded every forced romantic Johnny scene/other romantic scenes so I could pretend to have the romance I wanted - Or it was the run where I shut down Panam's bullshit, and refused to talk to Johnny and told him to fuck off at every opportunity that I could (which wasn't often because they expect you to be his best friend.) I'm still mad that he tried to guilt trip me at the end of my last playthrough because he decided my V was 'selling himself out' and breaking up a friendship they never even had, when my V made it clear from the start that he hated him and what he planned to do to get rid of him. That V would have cracked his own skull open if it meant getting rid of Johnny.

everything about this game is soooo off-putting, like first person view is the least of my concerns lol but keep trashing the game, save me the time of pirating it pleeease  I was talking with my friend the other day that if the game had third person view I would play with modded River but damn, it seems Johnny is down your throat at higher levels than Liara, Varric ... I mean I liked those at least, but everything I read about him seems so abusive and intrusive blergh |

I trash the game a lot, but the truth is it was my favorite game of 2020 and 2021 both...and I still play it regularly. As much as I do dislike Johnny, he isn't honestly as bad as Peebee for me...you just can't ignore him nearly as much as you can her. (sadly) Cyberpunk 2077 is just one of those games you love it despite it's flaws or you hate it because of them. Honestly for me it's a combo of things that keep me hooked: netrunner is such a unique game mechanic and I don't think any other game has given me the same rush as I get from it. It breaks the game in such a fun and often funny way! Secondly, I just really enjoy River. He's not perfect, but he's got a good heart (which is rare in that game) and I love the big lug for what it's worth. The new Text messages from him really fleshed out things too and make it feel like a legit relationship. (I find the sex scene cringe though if I'm being honest, but that's true of a lot of game sex scenes) Finally, I really enjoy the photo mode, especially after they let you put the cat Nibbles into shots. I've managed to make some really cute family photos of River and Nibbles and V. I heart my CP family!  |

Kerry is very childish. I really don't like his big romance quest in particular. It's insane, he's probably the oldest m/m romance age wise and he acts like a teenager. Hated the pop band quests too. He's just so egocentric. The worst part of this is there's a very vocal part of the fan base that falls over themselves to talk about how much they love Johnny. I worry what impact that will have on future CP games. The launch was so messy I'm not sure what they will take away from the response. The sequel might be very different just based on the fact that it's being done by a different studio (new cdpr one in US) and they will be using Unreal instead of Red Engine. I trash the game a lot, but the truth is it was my favorite game of 2020 and 2021 both...and I still play it regularly. That's fine, I'm like that with Silent Hill Homecoming. Like I know it's trash, but I love it so much, I keep replaying it. it seems Johnny is down your throat at higher levels than Liara, Varric He doesn't bother me that much, because for the majority of the game he's like most of the characters - an angry edgelord. The moment he mellows out the game is pretty much over. But yeah, that game has so many issues, don't bother downloading it unless you're super desperate for a new rpg. |

I'll try the new free stuff out eventually, and if it doesn't ruin the combat for me I will get the new dlc. I'm sure it'll be fine, but I can't help but worry. They've changed so much of the combat since the launch version-it feels like we've had multiple CP2077 games instead of just one.

I think of this dlc/patch in some ways as the end of the CO2077 early access we’ve been in for 2 years. And I am not sure I’ll upgrade to the finished version for more money any time soon.

V might tie in because Johnny is a known NUSA asset. Johnny got the nukes from NUSA and worked with NUSA agent Morgan Blackhand (pondsmith’s self insert in the setting).
The relic skill tree makes me wonder if the part of Johnny related to NUSA that he conveniently forgot all base game will be important. And why I am assuming more Johnny until proven otherwise unfortunately.

Reviews seem mostly good, okay for the dlc.
Just read a review of the dlc that says while johnny is still there, he was a lot more absent and less annoying here and had better dialogue this round.
Its also very spy ish, including going into a party for spy stuff, which I feel is a weird tradition of every rpg dlc now lol. So if your stealth class you might get more mileage out of this one. Unsure how much it changes ending wise and such, theres a leak from june from the endings but im not sure if real, will have to wait when players reveal it all in vids and stuff.
I might just grab the game on PS5 since is 10 bucks here on a store and they have so much stock lol, and not risk my computer for it.

It all comes down to the new ending for me at the moment. If it's good I'll get the dlc. If it's yet another meh ending I probably will just be fine with the base content.  |

Seeing the patch notes just makes me kind of  . One thing I liked about the game was becoming over powered through side content before hitting main quest/harder areas. Now that everything scales with you it feels a bit pointless and less exciting to get new gear. Honestly will wait for dlc reviews. A friend bought me the dlc but seeing all the changes just makes me less inclined to want to play right now. If the dlc adds a new ending or gives V a chance to live then maybe I will play it in the future but honestly there's nothing really in the game to make me want to replay right now. Kerry is just as are the hoops you have to jump through to get him, and whilst I could mod River to romance him as a Masc V again, he just doesn't have much content either. It still feels like unless you romance Panam (or Judy on a Star ending to a lesser extent) you just don't get as much out of replays. But I'll be waiting for dlc reviews for sure. Also the game now needing an ssd means I'll have to switch it over to my external ssd as I've only got room on my internal for one game and that space belongs to BG3. |

So I watched the new ending (with a female V that romanced Judy). Though the romance aspect apparently would be about the same regardless It appears they didn't get Panam or Kerry's actors back cause they just simply will not even talk to v after his 2 year comma. River sold the cops out to trauma team and is too ashamed to see V again ever. Judy dumped her and moved away and got married to another woman. It appears all romances are cut off with the new ending. It's a pretty depressing ending, and there's not even any gameplay when you pick the new choice on the roof. You just go to a lot of cutscenes and walking around a bit sometimes. Worst ending yet, for the most part. I mean V lives...but the game wants you to feel bad about that in every way they can think to make you do so. |

Reminds me to Mass Effect extended cut being like theres a new choice, but is just everyone died cuz you shot the starchild lmao. They just refuse to give you happy ending choices to choose from. the leak basically said you sell out to arasaka and all the npcs hate you, but in this one is not so much they hate you but they just move on and lived terrible or apparently with Panam implies she dies even. Now I wonder if there is any new content in there with the dlc for romances or not because they said they would add to it, if not then they lied again? lol. I just grabbed the game on PS5 for 12 bucks so I'm going to see how I feel about it before I risk my pc modding it and then end up not even liking it XD. Also because a friend basically told me "you got a ps5, use it!" because is true I keep wishing to play all on my struggling PC XD. I did pay a lot for this damn console, BG3 is next, I'll get it on ps5 too but I'm going to wait for more patches for that one, every time you all report bugs on that one I get nervous. At least with this cyberpunk one it seems this is the last of updates. I don't have much hope enjoying the romance, but I hope I can at least do a V I like and have fun with the futuristic city vibe. I'll buy the dlc if I do enjoy it, but I might just watch how is like more on youtube first.
