After catching up with this thread I have some thoughts. First of all I feel like it's important to confess that I have decided I do want a gay knight in shinning armor romance after all. shocking I know!  Anyway, yeah Werewolf romance is a secondary desire for sure! I'd want the sex in human form, but him to wolf out in battle and kick much bootie. I'm too vanilla I know, but hey...keeping it real. Hmmm...I have no interest in a male desire demon romance, but I would love it for there to be male desire demons in the game (sexy ones not human looking ones like in DAI). I am really over the double standard of BioWare's idea of eye candy. Guys dancing in cages in full armor in Andromeda speaks volumes for just how far their fear of male flesh goes. Hmmm, I also have interest in a tevinter mage with a heart of gold scenario-but yeah not anything at all like Dorian. (looks wise he could be his twin brother though), but yeah I want any romance I experience to be extremely emotionally fulfilling-not the depth of a kiddie pool that was the range of Dorian's emotions. Speaking of, I made this poll if anyone hasn't seen it yet, just to gauge which races are most popular with which players.  I think you are not alone in your tastes, though the others have their fans as well.  I haven't visited that forum ever since this one was created. I did read back a bit and I may just start posting there again.

It was so disappointing that the first male desire demon was fully clothed and nothing like the female desire demons, same with the fully clothed male dancers in Andromeda. I really hope they don't do this again in DA4, should these things be present and that any flings are even in gender ratio instead of favoring one...and I think we all know which that would be... Hmmm, I also have interest in a tevinter mage with a heart of gold scenario-but yeah not anything at all like Dorian. That's definitely one of the problems I had with the Dorian romance, and why I would have preferred Cullen or Blackwall. I really felt the emotional connection with those two, and that's why it always hurts to break up with Blackwall for Cullen. I would've had this same problem in Dragon Age 2 had Sebastian been bisexual - my poor Hawke would be so torn between two men he deeply cares for! I'd love to experience that with canon m/m love interests.

Andrew Mancer that is pretty much my main issue with BioWare romances. We always get the characters with the emotional depth of a kiddie pool, but almost never get seriously committed romantic types.

Posting this here too! let's play a game  If you could mix together both a character's personality that you love (non-Bioware character) with your next LI's appearance who would they be? here are some of mine Beast from X-men is one of my absolute favs in fiction (wonder why tehe), intellectual and tender with the appearance of a brute is one of my favorite archetypes  I have many types of werewolves in my mind but I would totally adore a guy like him. Maybe an Avvar human or a qunari. Damn even a dwarf! Iron Bull was really close since behind his appearance and dick jokes there is an incredible intelligent man that also is sweet and tender, but I would like to get even further in this archetype. Next! Captain Mal Reynolds  Not the first time that I ask for a gay pirate romance, and Mal is just the perfect. Maybe a rivaini like Isabela or a Tevinter outlaw pirate screwing Tevinter government in the process somehow  I love Cap Mal, I think he has the perfect combination of snark and good heart. I think it's too late or a very impossible long shot for Bioware to give us a gay Disney-esque prince like Alistair, but I've been fallen in love with Eric since I was 4 lol and he likes dogs, like Alistair. Like why Gaider why...  I dont even know if royalty exists outside of Ferelden, I should definitely look for info since I dont know much about DA's lore unfortunately and if this was showed in the games my memory is utter shit  lol I have more in my mind but I'm not going to bore you guys to death, as you see there are no evil-like characters in my wishlist since that usually means a big no for me. Fun! I would love to have an option that has the same personality as Ifan from Divinity original sin 2! I'd also really be into a gay Kratos-even if it would be a bit like Fenris but even more grumpy...I think it could work. maybe...eh-but he wouldn't be romantic so not a top choice-but still interesting. I know people gonna hate, but I'd die for Edward Cullens inspired m/m romance. He's so freaking romantic-I'd die for that sort of devotion.  -swoons- |

I headcanon that my Inquisitor's dad was a former Tal-Vashoth pit fighter in Hasmal. Gladiator would be SO COOL, and Tevinter is the perfect place for it, especially with the Imperial Proving Grounds. I never noticed LGBTQ+ romances were lacking until I started doing f/f romances and was just so disappointed. In DA 2, I laughed my ass off because I was romancing Anders and Isabella came over for a 'sleepover'. How could I refuse such an offer from a sexy pirate lady? I also tried rejecting her at first cause I felt bad for cheating, but then I felt horrible and reloaded the save to say yes. Sorry, Anders, but I'M WEAK XD So, after giving in to temptation, Anders SHOWS UP IN MY ROOM AT NIGHT TO CONFRONT ME. BISH WHAT!? I thought he'd break up with me, which would have been fine, honestly, because Isabella was ready to hmu, but instead he's all like, "Why'd you do that?" And I'm like, "Babes, man's not hot. It was a one night stand and she left me." (totally accurate recreation) Then he said something like, "I'm sorry she hurt you, but I can't be sorry she's gone." Then he gives me da kisses and it's all good.

I’ve changed so much since first playing these games it kind of makes me feel old.
I used to always say to these kinds of things Zevran, Fenris, Iron Bull... because they were the ones I did with my main male protag.
Now I answered Allistair, Isabela, Solas.... because those are the romances that look good in hindsight.
Allistair because when I finally modded DAO it was so much more satisfying to have a romance from beginning to end and important plot points influenced by romance baggage. KISA points too. Just the ice cream of romances.
Isabela I finally romanced her with my female Hawke for my third play through (first was anders, then went back to romance fenris right after because of the shock) and I just really like the much less broody Isabela to Anders/fenris. I also like her character a lot.
Solas..... because I like the idea of having a Uber plot important romance. Also in my opinion now, Dorian is a fine character but the older I get the less I want to romance him. Iron Bull is hot, FP jr is good, and I like the less personal drama for his character arc than Dorian. But I also kind of see some of my ex’s shitty behavior reflected in Iron Bull and it just spoiled the whole thing (not BW’s fault). So my canon Inquisitor is now a sad gay dude who romanced the Anchor while Adoribull lived in bliss.
So I guess I am in the basket of people who are now feeling like the m/m romances available were personally disappointing and am still awaiting a m/m romance I can obsess over in a BW DA game (Kaiden is pretty much the best they have done for me, Jaal is also a satisfying one, but both have an aura of outside the game drama surrounding them).
