I need to play BG:EE, BG:SoD and BG2:EE before this but I dont think I'm going to make it for early access, I have the games in my steam already, hope I can finish them before final release  also kinda worried about old games difficulty I'm so bad at games  Kym do you know if they are going to reveal more companions or is it too soon? |

They havent mentioned anything yet buuut we do know that Early Access will only have the 5 we've seen so far (Astarion, Shadowheart, Wyll, Gale and Lae'zel) as a start, then theyll add more companions/origins further on. Also maybe the panel on the 18th will have a timeline of what they plan to add into the EA down the road so maybe well get a glimpse of new companions there. New companion info is def my number 1 want because right now I just want to see more female characters lol. Id especially like to see a female tiefling companion or just someone who isnt human/elf. Im playing DOS2 again, and the fact that theres only two women sticks out like a sore thumb. Still love that game though. |

finished the portrait, ready to play I only need a name, the only thing I know is that he's a gur and maybe a shaman, dunno if that is lore-friendly I researched a lot and I cant find anything and I dont want to be the typical sorcerer again, but I need to be a magical boi the beginning of the journey without beard, young and dimples showing, the bearded one for BGII and the variant just for fun lol    |

In general I would argue class and race combos are all lore friendly. Old school d&d where only certain races can be certain classes is dying away. I played it on my iPad before I figured out how to get PC mods to work on the iPad version and got pretty far on a Warlock run. also if anyone is wanting a more fun run through BG 1&2 EE, there is a modded Warlock Kit out there. Eldritch blast/hideous blow is unlimited use. There’s also the Mystic Knight (Mystral’s arcane Paladins), Shadow Mage (Shar loving semi blood mage) and some companions (voiced, well written) on the mod author’s website. There is also an undead themed shaman out there on the beamdog forums (summon will of the wisps, uses undead priest spells). |

I'm still in chapter 2 and I cleared up a lot of map zones. Still playing on normal difficulty til the game becomes too difficult I'm not doing some quests that involves killing real life animals (wolves, dogs... glad some bears are friendly t.t) cause that's my way of roleplaying and it's awesome you just can run away to another map and not just kill them like in DAO for example i-i quest timers are annoying though, I'm glad I'm looking at wikia everytime something smells trickery gnoll companion when?  In general I would argue class and race combos are all lore friendly. that definitely put my nerdy mind at ease  Shamanic dance is indeed awesome! love when first I saw the giant spirit snake, love the wolves too, I think I saw a boar once but that was my myopia maybe  however I'm spamming the resting button no shame  |

It is a shame Dorn is the only mlm romance with fleshed out content in the game, I'm going for Glint as main romance (although I know he is forgotten in BG2:EE lol oh well headcanon it is), he's really cute and he's a good guy! but I'm planning to be a total slut with Dorn because my character is true neutral (later neutral good) and we sluts deserve content too lol wlw is even worse since one only appears in the midquel and the other in the second game, booooo!!! 👎 so glad Larian Studios is doing the third game, I can only imagine Bioware making it with gender locked romances  |

The worst part is that the mlm and wlw were added years later. Original BG didn’t even have Subclass kits for classes. Enhanced edition is really a major improvement.

I dont know if I'm going to buy the early access yet but I know that I'm going to wait til final release, gotta have to finish the originals first, maybe I will be done with them by end of the year.
