yes, new character is the best decision! I guess this is gonna be just like DOS2 in every sense of the word. As always companions is what I'm most excited for so bring those news soon Larian! lol
about Larian doing bi route again, I have no idea because the original games werent like that so fingers crossed, I hope I can play the originals in the upcoming months, I remember my first two tries and ... they aged lol it was kinda difficult to me.

ohh this is nice.
"You’ll be asked to make very tough decisions. You’ll have companions to deal with that will have opinions about those decisions. You’ll be given many, many systems — more than in Original Sin II — to fool around with and experiment and exploit, and hopefully to exterminate the foe that’s trying to go after you. That’s pretty much the philosophy. We want it to be so that you can play in either single-player or in multiplayer, like we did in Original Sin II. If you play it in multiplayer, each of you should be a hero with their own story. It’s very much the party as a whole that’s going to be the focus of this game. That’s probably the biggest difference between Original Sin and Baldur’s Gate 3."

Found this on GOG page. Genre: "Role-playing - Real-time - Fantasy" "Real time" which makes me think itll be real time with pause. I mean, they could still have turn based as well, but I actually really like real time with pause. "The party’s going to be big, exploration’s going to be big, player agency is going to be big, decisions are going to be big, multiplayer is going to be big – and single player, obviously. The originals were also tough games, so challenges are going to be big.”" Yaay lots of companions! Hopefully with a balanced spread of men/women this time. (compared to DOS2) "When I think of Baldur’s Gate, it’s the tale of a hero and the companions who rallied around them. Original Sin’s big contribution to the genre is a party of protagonists, all capable of pushing story in new directions. And in Baldur’s Gate 3? “Everybody’s going to be a hero, but it’s a party of heroes that comes together. Together they will be able to overcome, isolated they may not be able to manage to do it as well as they could if they worked together.” And what of the fragility of that cast? Baldur’s Gate had a large companion count, but happily chewed them up with perma-death. Sounds like you best get practicing your eulogies this time, too. “The thing about player agency and making tough decisions is that if it goes badly it should go badly. We’re going to be following that recipe, yes.” And while you’ll still have to pick your character’s moral alignment, “In 5th edition [rules] the impact of alignment is a bit lesser than it used to be in 2nd edition. So that will be less.”"

I know nothing about Balder's gate, but now seems like a good time to get into it, with the console port set to arrive in September.
I mean, I heard there's a lesbian vampire, so that's enough to pique my intetest. (Consensual neck-biting is a yes)
I heard the main male option for fem protagonist sucks, cause he's like sexist or something XD
Anyhow, Baldur's Gate 3 sounds amazing, so I'm eager to hop on the bandwagon before it comes out.
(I heard there's a druid class that can be a werewolf? I also heard it sucks, but I don't care. I play classes for rp purposes more than effectiveness)

Absolutely adore both Baldur's Gate series and Larian... in spite of the whole Red Prince thing.
Can't wait to see this come out, though fighting the Mind Flayers in BG2 was a horrible experience. Not sure I'm ready for a whole game with mind control mechanics being thrown at me. Will be interesting to see how they balance that. But of course the most important thing is, if this is edition 5 DnD will we get the Dragonborn Race!?
You know you want to Larian. Don't fight it.

Baldur's Gate 3 Features Multiplayer 100+ hours of gameplay Classes and Subclasses System (traditional DnD classes) DnD 5th edition rules (used as a base) BG3 won't have story import save from previous 2 games. Sven said "Those chapters are closed" They'll be using the next generation of their in-house engine, so same as DOS2 but improved/updated. Art style will be different from DOS2 as well.

So nerds I need your help, how lore-friendly is doing a Gorion's Ward who is a Gur abandoned at birth and shaman as main class? I'm thinking about working on a gypsy-like portrait edit. Hmm not sure if this entirely correct but heard that they're maybe making a Bhaalspawn canon for the prior games. and its a male ofc. eh, oh well. NO PLEASE, ugh edit. they should do it like MEA, choosing the gender of the character and what ending you chose, the easiest way to not screw things up. And if they are going to mention them, it should be briefly and vague.
