Descent into Avernus is pretty great just for the Blood War aspect. It’ll be interesting to see if BG3 ties the Bhaal plot line into the War. Descent teased it, but never established any Bhaal presence or influence. Or any of the Three. And I have no idea how the Mindflayers fit in.
Can’t wait.

The pc gamer pages were a nice read. I was at work when the alpha release date was revealed, was there video for that? I've not been able to find much. As an aside, I've been puzzled by something for a while now. BG3 has this splash image that only shows off four of the five current companions we know about and I'm really confused as to why Wyll isn't featured in it. I mean, it's even their splash screen for Steam.  In the vids we've had so far I can't say I've even seen that much of him shown off either. Was he added to the roster last minute? Were we only going to have these four for the alpha originally, or did they just forget about him and not bother to update the art? Given what background we know of him, I'm kind of curious about him the most but he's hidden away. I dunno if it's cause they want him to be more intriguing or a surprise because of that background or if it's something else entirely. |

If it wasn't for this thread I likely wouldn't even realize he existed. I know there's other companions to come - I hope they're as well developed as these ones considering we've seen more of some of these companions compared to others. I'll check out the vid. \o/ I'll likely get early access just because I'll have a video game void around September because of Cyberpunk's delay. When it properly comes out I'll hopefully have a few friends to play it with which should be fun because I'm the goody two shoes and they're very much the pragmatic or kill anything type.  |

Wyll is by far the hottest out the 3 dudes for me (even though he is a boring hooman  ) and the one that intrigues me more but sadly he is a warlock and I want to be a warlock!!! It's a dealbreaker for me to be the same class as my LI (maybe it's silly but I like to mix power dynamics ) so I really hope they show five more companions in the final product, 2 men 3 women to even things up and I HOPE one of them is not human or an elf. Astarion is interesting but vampires are the lowest monsters in the "sex-appeal chain" for me unless they look a little like a monstrosity  also I bitch'd enough about neutral evils and I dont want to deal with that lol and Gale is really cute and reminds me to a happy and optimistic DAO:A Anders but been there done that lol give us a hot chaotic good male tiefling or a true neutral -thinker out of the box- gnoll  |

give us a hot chaotic good male tiefling yeah i def want a female tiefling companion or if not tiefling...drow if she has to be an elf. maybe dwarf... 2 men 3 women to even things up and I HOPE one of them is not human or an elf. This would be nice! I'd like to see overall more of a spread of races for the incoming companions that isnt human/elf as well. We already have 2 human men, Astarion seems like a moon elf to me, half-elf Shadowheart, Bae'zel is the only one who stands out as a githyanki lol. |

I plan to go Cleric on my first character and generally don't like to use two of the same class together so I won't be using her for that one. |

All three of the male companions so far are hot...um well, that's an interesting twist of fate.  It'll probably be a few years before this game is on console though so I should really not get hyped yet. Still. Loving the vampire Astarion the best so far. #VampireTrash |

I really only like to romance humans, so I'm hyped for Gale and Wyll. Has there been much game footage of Gale? I feel like I've only seen the other three, although I haven't been keeping a super close eye.

Some footage of him fighting and some dialogue exchange in the camp.. can see him around 23:49 (I think hes male quizzy and Red Prince VA?) |

Have we even seen footage of Wyll? Admittedly I haven't watched all the videos but I know a few have had more of a focus compared to others in videos so far. I do wonder if the other companions will be non-tadpole or if they all will have it and we're just seeing these few currently, as they'll be the ones available in the Alpha. Does anyone plan to play as one of the five currently known? I never played anything but an original character in DOS2. I assume a playable Origin characters would still be able to romance the companion ones. I plan to only play my own made one unless one of the unknown companions ends up striking my fancy. I think them being class locked will make it a little less inviting for me though. |

To my knowledge gale was featured in the gameplay where Swen throws a shoe at the end And is playing as Astarion. The recruitment of him in a sense. Then there is another one where they show an attack on a goblin camp I believe where gale has dialogue when they show off the party camp. Gale gets knocked out in all the gameplay videos I have seen. Probably cause in D&D low level wizards are commonly killed as they are ridiculously fragile. Edit: the one with party camp convo was already linked, but gale also does speak in the very first gameplay video as the escape the wreckage of the mindfalyers. He’s very exuberant mage-y. Awakenings Anders comes to mind. |

Got my first flirt with Dorn in BG1:EE, I know these are pre-romance flirts and things dont get serious til BG2 but question time: how does it work in SoG? I want to do Glint romance too but I'm scared I'm locking myself with Dorn lol also what about BG2:EE? Glint is forgotten in that game, can I do Dorn's sexy times without doing his quests? His quest in the first game is fine, killing his old comrades, fuck them but his quest in the second game involves doing bad things lol edit. yep I think you need to finish his quest to get some sext times in BG2:EE... oh welp Dorn was never meant to be my main romance anyway I just wanted some half orc dick  with a bit of luck I hope I can get some flirts lol |
