Wish I could help, but I only played the original! Haven't had a chance to play the remake yet but maybe someday! I hope you have fun! I have many happy memories of the Gameboy version! Ah okay. Well, I'll figure it out! Let me know which guy you decide to marry!

Ah okay. Well, I'll figure it out! Let me know which guy you decide to marry! Will do, if I make it that far. I have a terrible track record with farming games. I already see I need to upgrade some stuff before I can marry anyone, so gotta start actually having a plan I suppose. I planted some stuff, but I have no idea what I'm doing. hahah

All this talk about the Mass Effect Legendary Edition made me want to play the trilogy again... So, here I go.
I'm playing default Shep because I can't be bothered.
Edit: I just finished ME1 and realized I missed my chance to romance Kaidan... I must have picked the wrong dialogue option somewhere... and now I have to do another playthrough... ugh

I've been playing Miitopia all week (started with the Demo). It's fun. It's a very old-school RPG, but nice to throw in whatever random characters I want.

I'm playing Spiderman remastered on ps5. It's not really my cup of tea, but it is pretty fun so far.

We are playing Gun now, a game from my childhood that my brother loved. I'm loving it as well so far, but it REALLY, REALLY makes me want a gay cowboy/western game.

I'm playing Watch Dogs Legions. It's pretty fun. It's a nice looking game. I have better peeps-but I keep using the gay construction worker I got early game (or is he bi? who the fudge knows.)

So I finished my first Sony exclusive ps5 games (they on ps4 as well of course). I'm talking specifically about the Spiderman games in this case. Spiderman Remastered is a gorgeous game graphically speaking and very well done all around. It did get pretty repetitive with the 9 million side quests that had all the "do the thing x 10" however, and the dlc made that part of it even worse shockingly enough. I feel like in general the dlc was best skipped for me personally, and I suspect I would do that in any future replays. I heard all over the place that Miles Morales looked even better, and I was skeptical because the original was so nice, but they were right! The ray tracing, the textures, and all the bells and whistles were just so so nice. I played it with performance RT-and it still looked better than Spiderman in graphical mode. Amazing honestly! It took me 5 nights of play to complete it, so I have to disagree with the people who called it a dlc. I have certainly bought shorter games than SMM for full price in my day (sadly), and this felt like a full game to me! The combat was much approved, the side quest variety was way better-and I never felt like I was drowning in "do the thing"-it was much better paced. Masterpiece! Also if I'm honest Miles is more likeable than Peter. Though I adore both of them.

Played 12 Minutes recently... a bit frustrating, but very unique and I wanted to beat it, but been worried seeing comments saying the story is really bad and some people regretted wasting their time for that ending... I REALLY value my time when it comes to games so I decided to see the ending without beating the game. Whoa it's soooo bad I actually laughed

Thought that story was not that bad until THAT twist, and I was like "just why".

Daisy Ridley, James McAvoy and Willem Dafoe- they all sound pretty mediocre and bored. Like some random, less experienced voice actors. Voice actor isn't the same thing as a regular actor. I worked on a game with some actor who never did VO before and I hated his VO delivery. Same problems as here.

I caved and bought My Time At Portia because for some reason I was REALLY in the mood to play it. Wish I bought it during the sale a few weeks ago though to save some money! I played a bit and I'm loving it so far!
Also started playing Divinity Original Sin 2 with my fiance. I think I'll probably be focusing on this one instead of Portia over the next few days/weeks, but I still very mich want to get back to it!
We just finished the original Rayman on PS1 - which took several months in between work and school. The game is insanely difficult!

I played a bit and I'm loving it so far! Glad to hear you are giving the game a try! I had so much fun with it! I've just finished a Trilogy run of Mass Effect, and now I'm playing (or was playing???) Metroid Dread. I am pretty stressed out with the second at the moment. I had read reviews before getting it that it was hard-but honestly I still wasn't expecting it to be quite this annoying with the way it all goes together. It's not just the combat being a challenge, but also the fact you have to go through these huge sections avoiding the "Emmi" robots that are invicible and can instakill you. It wouldn't be too bad unless you are like me and get lost frequently. I went through one hard emmi section 3 or more times trying to figure out where I was supposed to go next. The game desperately needs more hints in my book. the best you get is when you find a map room that vaguely tells you where a thing of interest is-though it doesn't tell you if you can actually get there...or if you need to come back hours later after picking up the next doodad.

I started playing it again a year later cause apparently when I played it first it was in its early build. Really enjoying it, but it’s become ing a drag towards the end and the completionist in me just can’t stop playing until I finish every possible quest 😭 also the sequel is coming, but since the devs are Chinese and their laws idk if they were able to keep same sex marriage options 😞 also, just checked ultimate hangout thread and I had no idea you guys still discuss things there, I though everybody’s mostly gone 😬

I hope the game will get a proper console release eventually. I'm going to be gun shy this time around though. We waited 2 years between patches last time, and by the time it actually came I had already well moved on.

I’m considering possibly giving the Legendary Edition of Mass Effect a run only because I can get it for free, so I feel less bad if I would be paying BioWare for what they ultimately gave gay fans in this edition. Nevertheless currently I’ve been playing the first Witcher game on my PC again cause of the new season on Netflix making me want to dip into that universe again, without taking on the behemoth that is replaying Witcher 3 again (I’m also waiting for that to come out for next gen before playing again) I still think the first Witcher had the best atmosphere and overall feel to it, the music and some of the non city based locations are still gorgeous and evocative Because of that it gave me a hankering for games set in beautiful locations with atmospheres you could just soak up without necessarily having to get into combat, as I liked Witcher 1 was arguably lite enemy encounter wise Two indie games I discovered that had these aspects were Eastshade which I adore, and is such a calming and melodic gaming experience that is a wonderfully light and positive palette cleanser for me after playing anything heavy or too dark story beats wise. I heartily recommend Another great indie game I’ve been playing is Ghost of a Tale. It has some simply stunning environment and level design, and if you’ve always wanted to play an RPG lite action adventure where you get to play as a Bilbo Baggins type as opposed to your usual sword or sorcery character, then this is ideal, plus it brings really strong Redwall vibes with all the characters being anthropomorphised animals

playing Final Fantasy XIV and holy shit I don't remember last time when I was that obsessed about a game, like every day waiting for the evening so I can play a little more. I actually made a character like a year ago, but stopped playing after reaching only level 8. I was like "no, no way I'm getting into mmo, it's just too huge and I don't have time to learn all systems". Then a year later a friend from work started talking a lot about how good this game is so I was like, sure, why not give it another chance. I'm not doing anything interesting after work anyway (and that made me actually a bit depressed) so this game helped a lot. First expansion was rough but then it got waay better, the story is EXTREMELY good. Cried many, many times. And the music is just stellar, one of the best soundtracks ever, composer is just insane. I'm so happy my mind is preoccupied by something other than work, finally This video made me interested in this game a year ago, this theme is soo energetic. Can't wait to finish one quest to get access to that raid so I can finally listen to this in-game while healing others and dying over and over and over again

I am replaying Earthbound on Switch. I find myself getting very frustrated at times as it's not very clear what to do sometimes. Also, the "comedy" effect doesn't seem to work on me anymore-perhaps my sense of humor is too picky now. It's okay, but my memory said it was a great game. It lied to me several times.

Horizon Forbidden West 2nd pt and I love this game! They added some choices and I know I'll chose differently a few times on this pt. I love how they still refuse to give Aloy any romances. It fits perfectly. Especially with something else they did, which I'm not going to spoil.

I finished Horizon 2 a few days ago. I wanted to let the ending sit with me a few days before I talked about it: I am really disappointed that the cliffhanger is basically a big bad that can't possibly be beaten by conventional means. Yet another god/Reapers/all powerful enemy trope that the game DID NOT NEED AT ALL! I feel like rebuilding society (hopefully better) was already a nearly impossible goal and was more than enough material for several more games without all that maddness. Yeah..aside from the ending I loved most of the game, but there was one character thing: Varl dying felt very sudden and I really don't like when main characters die. I know it has its place in such things but that doesn't mean I have to like it. The lack of romance options in the game was expected but still disappointing. I hope they will happen eventually and yes I would want it to be a choice as it's clear everyone has their own ideal of what Aloy's happy ending would be. I'm shipping her with Erend pretty hard-but there's also Avad and Nil. So many good-looking npcs. I would not be mad at a spin-off where we could play a CC character and romance guys made in this engine!
