I've been watching Anthony Bourdain eat yummy food around the world. These food shows on Netflix make me so hungry

I kind of tuned out during Season 5 until the final episodes tbh. Then it got really good. I wonder how things will turn out. OITNB S5 spoilers: There were a few scenes I thought were interesting, like when Bailey speaks to Poussey's dad. Maybe I need to rewatch the first few episodes, but the beginning was just a lot of chaos that came off with little cohesion imo. And this season of course did nothing to make me like Leanne any more. Generally I can see redeeming features in most of the characters there and like them, but she's in the running with Fig for characters I dislike lol. At least Piper is a background character now, but Leanne and her sidekick just go around annoying people center stage. I still hate how cruel she was to Pennsatucky and Soso, too. Sad about Flaca and Maritza in the end I kind of tuned out during Season 5 until the final episodes tbh. Then it got really good. I wonder how things will turn out. Sad about Flaca and Maritza in the end I liked that it was chaotic at the start and then settled down. The season was supposed to be about a prison riot so the chaos and then people settling down into a rhythm felt like the right vibe for it.
I'm not gonna lie, I skipped over the Leanne parts, I've no idea why she has such a focus now. Piper works far better has a secondary character as she is less annoying that way.
Some high points of the season for me: Every scene with Flaca and Maritza. Red & Flores trying to get dirt on Piscatella and them him wandering the halls kidnapping people like the terminator. Freida's bunker Linda's slow realisation that prisoners are people. All of the negotiation scenes. Everything about the last episode.
I had to binge but I finally got there. Piper proposing to Alex made me squee, ngl. Big Boo and Linda, those scenes were great. Lorna still cray cray and preggo to boot and with that ending what's gonna happen now? Taystee' backstory was heartbreaking. Humps the psycho got a fitting end. Did not expect Piscatella' demise tho, give that rookie a medal! Flaca and Maritza' youtube/make-over bits were hilarious, love those two and them getting separated at the end, noooooooooes. Freida making traps, poisoned darts and her dooms day backstory stuff was great, her scarring those two snooty girl scouts in her youth was brill too. Oh and Black Cindy becoming a meme... So, I really hope we won't lose some of the better characters in the next season, with them being separated and all. *Remembers losing Nicky*

Currently watching the HBO documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest[/b]. Despite the maudlin title, it's EXCELLENT- I don't know if you guys ever read about the Gypsyrose case on Buzzfeed, but it's a case that follows a girl whose mom had a severe case of Munchausen by proxy and convince the world her daughter had leukemia, epilepsy, and muscular dystrophy, among other conditions. The girl eventually murdered her mother, but the waters are so muddied and the lines between guilt and responsibility are so unclear that it's just fascinating.

Crimson those last few episodes were amazing.
My guess is that we'll follow the inmates in their different prisons for half a season while Litchfield reopens and then they'll be brought back together.
Popular characters seem to have ended up in both prisons and who knows what will happen to Red & the others in the swimming pool.
btw Piper proposing to Alex was one of the sweetest things to happen on the show.

Just went through 13 Reasons Why too. Very good, amazing acting and directing by everyone involved. I'm not sure about a second season either -- I mean, I don't know if it had as strong an ending as I wanted, because I guess they were gunning for a second season, but I can't help but be reminded of Broadchurch, which had an excellent first season and the second, while not bad, just didn't have the same magic.
It honestly kind of shook me in a few ways. While nothing nearly as extreme, I felt myself identifying a lot with Clay, and I'm not sure if that's all that good or not.
Anyway, now I'm watching Star Trek The Next Generation because goddamn it I needed a unicorn chaser after that. Of course, the episode I started back on just had to be the one that had themes of bullying and isolation. ;-|

I started watching BoJack Horseman... and it's a lot better than I expected?! I've been binging it. It's a lot more mature, and has deeper and more interesting/dark themes than I expected from a show with talking animals. It gets really good further into the series.

Two things: Star Wars The Force Awakens and Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. I honestly can't believe it took me so long to watch The Force Awakens. I originally planned to watch it as part of an event leading up to its premiere where all six previous films would be in theaters as a marathon...but I ended up not going because I didn't have anyone to go with me. It was so much better than I was expecting! It really did leave me excited and interested to see what happens next! The original saga was a large part of my childhood/early teen years and I really miss that! I've been wanting to get back into the franchise for quite some time now, and I'd like to just in time for the next film later this year! Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World was one of my favorite films during my high school years. It's just ridiculously fun and nerdy! Also...plenty of gay content in it! It was a lot of fun going through it again. I remember playing the game as well back then and it was also fun! I've always wanted to check out the source material as well but never got a chance. Still...this one definitely remains one of my favorite films and always will.

i don't find myself watching a lot of tv these days, but i'm slowly catching u on season 2 of you me her. i really like it, especially izzy. she's such a sweet person and character. and it's awesome to finally have a show about polyamory that treats it as a thing, and it's not just a gimmick. and i actually really like all three people involved.

Dude, same. I finished the first season of House of Cards, never started Better Call Saul because I'm only on the second or third season of Breaking Bad, and I think I'm on the second or third season of Orphan Black. I got all these shows I can watch and I'm like, "let's watch Star Trek for the 67th time!" I did have a break and watched Spawn when I saw it was on there. Loved the movie and the comics when I was a kid. It's really bad in a lot of ways, but I still had fun with it.

Watching Supernatural again. It's somehow both so convoluted and yet you can sum up the entire series by shouting the words "Because dammit, you're my brother!!!" over and over in your most gravely voice.
Still it's relatively mindless fun with a few sparse moments of greatness to keep you going.

Is it still good with Bea gone? yeah, it was strange, but it was still good. I mean her presence and legacy is still there, but I'm still sad about it
