Is there an ESO thread somewhere that I'm missing? Does anyone else play it?

Getting back into Skyrim. It's so relaxing and makes me feel good. I kind of just cheated and continued an incomplete file from over a year ago though, but it's early in the game so it's fine.

Hey, I've been running an in-progress character of Skyrim for like four years now, who just... ISN'T doing the final quest, instead running around the place, killing respawned bandits and selling off the expensive crap he crafts to build up skills he never really uses. No judgement.

Yeah, I've been working on my Skyrim Dream Character TM from my old console to my current PC on and off for 3-ish years now. Still not done (Can't believe how many times I've run to Riverwood to test something I made!), but thanks to the magic of modding I am pretty close to a 2H Orc who shoots custom green fire magic occasionally! Getting my Orc to look the perfect balance between macho and not has been a challenge. Love Skyrim. Might get back in but burned myself out tweaking NPC faces... too many potato heads. Skyrim brings out my monomania... Most recent, yet still incomplete, photo grab. Was testing a new hair style... and tweaking Ralof's mug.

I'm just not going to complete Barbas' quest so I can have a puppy follower forever.

Oh wooooow this sounds amazing. Of course I have a list of already existing pc's that I have headcanons for, but to be able to actually have a romance in game will be nice. I'm glad they finally realized how popular romances are.

It’s weird that there was less time between Morrowind and Skyrim than Skyrim and TES6.

Can’t wait for the Skyrim Remaster for current gen and Skyrim Special Edition Remaster for the 10 year anniversary of the Special Edition before TES6 releases Q4 2027

No joke, with the PS5/SeXbox having been released, I'm legit just WAITING to hear that for the ten year anniversary, they're releasing another remaster for current gen. I 100% believe this is gonna happen at this point.

The sad thing is that a re released Skyrim might still be a better game than.... so, so many newer options.

The sad thing is that a re released Skyrim might still be a better game than.... so, so many newer options. If they were to open it back up with actual new content (like the canceled dlc that was supposed to crown a true king/queen for the region), it would be awesome. It had a lot of potential story threads left open I think. They could really expand on the marriage system too, even if that's unlikely.

I want a werewolf focused DLC with a male character like Serana. It might actually lead to me USING werewolf form.
Plus a new boyfriend in the game would be nice. Serana’s a nice girl, but not exactly my first choice for who I want to be traipsing over Skyrim...

I don’t know the last time I played Skyrim for the story. Maybe 2015 when I was playing DAI and got so sick of the open world that felt so distant and hard to appreciate for me that it just made me buy Skyrim and play it for the first time... and then I finished DAI finally in 2017 but only after forcing myself to ignore anything that was not main quest cause otherwise it depressed me and made me feel ill where as Skyrim for some reason I can wander around picking flowers for years and never even learn a shout.
I wouldn’t say no to new content but I feel like the consensus with game developers is that a remaster of a game is about wanking yourself off and saying what you made was art and the only changes you can do is modernize the graphics/combat to current standards and adding new content or restoring missing content implies what you squirted out all those years ago was not perfect art equivalent to Michelangelo’s David.

Yeah, the only version of the Skyrim remaster I got was for the PC, and that was because it was a free upgrade offered because I already had the original. I never picked up the console version, and have no desire to.
It’s the same reason I can comfortably live without the Mass Effect remaster as well, at least not until and unless it gives me a full trilogy Male Shepard/Kaidan romance, but we probably shouldn’t drag THAT conversation here...

Skyrim special edition is technically more stable than legendary, but the enhanced graphics they added were hit or miss and not optimized for the game, meaning you can technically get better graphics for less FPS loss modding legendary than special but special has better stability and you can mod over 255 mods even near 1000 and still be more or less fine. And with the pandemic special now arguably has better mods. Xbox special edition is okay, PS4 is a joke and I feel bad for them.
I honestly expect a new Skyrim announced for the 10 year anniversary and maybe another shitty TES6 trailer. But I’m betting if they release the Skyrim Extra Special Edition it’ll just be for new consoles.

For me, Special Edition was a laggy piece of shit. Even vanilla with no mods it would eventually start stuttering like crazy for no reason, whilst Legendary gave me no issues and I could mod it to death with all manner of high intensity mods and no problems. Could never figure out why it was that way and I just stuck with Legendary in the end.
